Johnny and Cheryl Wallace are the epitome of great people and even better painters. They take pride in their work and are the best at what they do.  I needed my kitchen painted going from a cranberry red to a navy blue.  I painted it once but swore I would never paint the kitchen again.  Called Johnny as he has done some work for us in the past.  We figured out a date, a price and I picked up the paint.  Johnny and Cheryl arrived on time, got their work done, cleaned up and were on their way in 5-6 hours.  The new color looks great and it was just what I was looking for!  Thanks again Johnny and Cheryl!

Mr. Wallace did a " excellent job" from the moment of the estimate/cost of the job and estimate time line for completion. Mr. Wallace completed the entire project within three days; to include daily clean up (at the end of each day) and work supplies organized neatly.  At thet end of ther progect my home was left clean, tidy, and all trash was remved. We were able to review the overall project completed. Excellent job!!!! I am vey happy and highly recommend Mr. Wallace for your project.

The painting went well.  One time, when I was at work, there was a problem with our sprinkler system causing flooding in our yard and our neighbor's yard.  I was at work and received calls from the neighbors, asking me to fix the problem.  Johnny with all his diplomacy soothed the neighbors and turned off the valve to the sprinkler system.  In another situation (more recent) our kitchen remodel was a difficult and disappointing experience.  We used a company with very poor communication and workmanship.  Some of the disappointment involved a section of dry wall that was simply left not completed.  I had made many calls to the company to complete the job.  They never returned my calls.  Johnny came in and performed a dry wall miracle by repairing the damage as part of his work.  Thank you Johnny and Cheryl.

Johnny and his wife Cheryl were excellent!  We had a large job and their responsiveness was great.  They also spent a lot of time upfront discussing exactly what our goals were for the project and Johnny made many suggestions and recommendations to ensure that we would both be happy with the end result..  We hired them from out of town before we moved back into our home (which we had rented out for the last 9 nine years).  We were very comfortable with just giving them a key and letting them them work their magic with paint in transforming our rental house back into a crisp new home for our family.  They were very neat in their work and we found everything very tidy and clean when we arrived half-way through their work.  I couldn't be happier with our choice to select Wallco for our job!  On top of being excellent painters, Johnny and Cheryl are genuine, honest and admirable individuals who went above and beyond to welcome us back to Jacksonville.  Give them a shot!  You'll be glad you did!

The rooms turned out really beautiful. I was very pleased with the end result. He and his wife were very professional and I felt very comfortable leaving a key with them so they could lock up when they were finished. I would certainly recommend them to anyone who needs their home painted and would use them again.

I called at left a message on Johnny's phone and he returned my call the shortly after. We set up a time for him to give me an estimate, I can't remember if it was the same day or the next day. Regardless of which day, it was quick! I had 2 bedrooms to be painted, one of which was a truly hideous hot pink, it was not a simple task. My husband and I had concern because we just had new carpet installed a year ago and wanted to make sure there were no paint spills on our new carpet. I asked Johnny for proof of insurance to make sure if something catastrophic happened we would be covered. He promptly supplied  proof of insurance from his insurance carrier. They were able to come in and complete painting both rooms the very next week. Johnny and his wife  worked quickly and neatly. I was very impressed and very thankful, it was as painless for me as possible!

I can recommend them without reservation.  They are talented, punctual, and great about communication.  The work quality was excellent and the job wasn't done until we were completely satisfied with it.  Even my dog liked them!  The job was estimated and sold by the  2 persons doing the work so there were no miscommunications and no doubts about who I would be letting into my house .  They called to let me know a time they would arrive, and that time was based on their GPS.  No unnecessary waiting.  I had no qualms about leaving them on their own in my home and left them a key for access if they arrived when I couldn't be there.  They're family oriented, professional and caring.  No worries.

They were on time and finished on time.  They left no messes and cleaned up everything.  They were willing to adjust the paint color after the job was started.  They also painted the outside of my home in the past.  After the exterior job was completed it appeared the job was streaked.  He bought in the paint manufacture and they provided additional paint and the job was repainted free of charge.

John and Cheryl did a fantastic job on our interior painting job.  Both act in a very professional manner and kept to the schedule as planned.  In addition, John did a very good job in helping us choose colors which worked well in various rooms.  I wouldn't hesitate to hire these folks for any household painting project.

Our experience was wonderful through the entire process.  We bought a house and decided at the last minute that we wanted to do some painting before we moved in.  I called and spoke to Johnny and they were able to meet with us that evening to discuss our plans.  They were very patient with us while we were deciding exactly what we wanted to do.  They were very helpful and knowledgeable and we felt very comfortable with them.  They were very professional, great with communication, and dependable.  They did an excellent job and were finished on schedule as promised.  We will definitely recommend them to everyone and feel that anyone who has the pleasure of working with them will be very happy!

Johnny and his wife Cheryl are excellent painters, as well as good quality people.  I interviewed 4 or 5 painters, and while there were some that underbid Johnny, I gave him the chance to match their price and he came close enough that, for the comfort I felt with him vs. others, we decided to use him.  Furthermore, he is excellent at following up with you.  He was one of the first I got an estimate from, and he emailed and texted consistently afterward to make sure there was nothing else he could provide me, did I have any further questions, and actually, he asked me to please give him the chance to adjust his estimate if I felt that I might want to go with someone else.  The main reason we chose him instead of others, in addition to being referred to him by others we knew who had personally used him, was that not only did we hear excellent things about his work, attention to detail, quality, professionalism, etc., but I quite honestly, I felt comfortable leaving this man in my house while I was at work!  He and his wife as just as trustworthy as they come.  That's just the kind of people they are.

Johnny and Cheryl's work starts with helping you pick your color.  I know that sounds crazy, but Johnny is very good at it, and I had a zillion color choices going through my head.  After picking samples, he made at least a trip or two to the house to paint a big wall in my home with a couple different colors I was using to complement each other, to let me observe it for a day or two before I "committed." Taking that extra step was a big part of the reason I chose the colors I did (which I love, love, love!) rather than some of the riskier color choices I considered.  Johnny kept me from making the mistake of authorizing him to paint my house a color I ultimately would not have LOVED, and thus, saved me money, and him extra work :-)  He actually painted my kitchen and breakfast nook one color, my living room and other "common" areas another colors, and also a slightly darker shade in alcoves and in the tray ceilings.  All the painting was neat and flowed from one room to another with precision.  Because I have an open floor plan, the only dividing line between the living room and the kitchen is an open arch way.  The khaki in one room flows into the butter yellow in the other room with a sharp, precise line.

Johnny & Cheryl do an excellent job of keeping their work neat, cutting in corners and angles, getting appropriate coverage, etc.  They answered all my questions about what type of paint to use, primer or paint-and-primer in one, what type of finish to use in high traffic areas, behind the stove (no backsplash), etc., how to clean the walls after painting, etc.  Johnny also repaired a couple of wall areas that had been damaged by flooding, and did a good job of repairing and sanding down the areas before painting.  Johnny also coordinated with the guys who did my flooring, tile, etc. (who were church friends of his, and actually he referred me to them).  It was necessary for him to come back on the back end after they replaced my trim, to touch up trim that was not in place when Johnny first did the painting.  He took out another half day after he had done all the original painting a month or two before, to come back and tie up the loose ends of the newly replaced trim.  That is the main thing about Johnny and Cheryl.  They will not rest until you have it done exactly the way you want, and they'll come back as many times as necessary to make it right.  With the huge area he covered, they were bound to be a few places that didn't quite get covered (one was in a dark corner that I only saw with a head lamp!).  That would have happened with any painter, but this is what would not have happened with any painter:  I had a few of those "missed a spot" moments (or the paint didn't totally cover with the 2nd coat, or something like that), and Johnny instructed me to go through with blue tape, and he came back and touched up every single place I marked.  Between the color swatch test trips (at least 2), the 3 1/2-4 days of actual scheduled work, the come-back-to-touch-up trips, and the come-back-on-the-back-end 1/2 day, they were at my house at least 8 times over a couple months.

The best other rousing endorsement I can tell you about Johnny and Cheryl is:  they are dog friendly!  Other than my beagle getting a little paint on her from her enthusiastic attempts to help, they not only love dogs, but they'll let them out for you too.  It's nice to know my dogs can be comfy with our contractors and not be in the other room going crazy because  their are strangers in the house.  After a couple visits, they were' t strangers, they became Uncle Johnny and Aunt Cheryl!

Dog-friendly, trustworthy, do excellent work, what more could you want in a contractor?  I'll be having them back for further painting work for sure!
