The Cleaning Authority - Jacksonville

They come every 2 weeks I know exactly what their going to do, very trustworthy I don't need to monitor them every single time very dependable. They do certain task every single time they come. They also have a rotation of a certain place in the house that they concentrate on.

I would give them all A's.  This is the first one I've found that I really like.  They are good cleaners.  Housekeepers are hard to find.  I'm not sure I want to share them, they're so good.  It usually takes them about 3 or 4 hours to clean my house.  They send two workers unless they are running short on time, then they'll send four.  It depends on what's needed.

Charged me $350 to do a 'clean out' of my home even though I had a service before them and I thought the house was pretty clean already (that was a negotiated price they wanted more than that amount).  Then they came out twice after that $95 each time.  The $350 two clean outs were decent.

First time for a 'regular clean'  they missed half the kitchen - spots in the microwave, crumbs on the stove, refrig door handles sticky, they made the master bed wrong put the comforter UNDER the blankets, in guest room folded comforter at the bottom of the bed didn't put it on the bed etc etc etc. When they were leaving and asked where the check was and it was on the refrigerator with a magnet that's the first hint they could not possibly have cleaned or they would have seen the check!  I could go on and on but you get the picture.

Second time they came out for a 'regular clean' they only changed the sheets in the master bedroom not the other 2 bedrooms. When I complained they said oh it's $3 more per bed to change sheets - yet they had changed all the sheets the other 3 times they were here.  They missed a huge cobweb behind the door of the guest bedroom.  They missed dusting the some of the furniture in the master bedroom.

First two times I complained I was ignored.  When I complained about the $3 per bed charge for changing sheets they finally responded and said I 'misunderstood' that there was a charge for that item even though they had done it the previous 3 times they were here.  And I SPECIFICALLY asked when the lady was here estimating did they change sheets I have severe arthritis and it's difficult for me to do myself and she said oh yes it's included in the service.

Also my arrival time was between 12 and 2 ... only once in the 4 times they were here did they make it on time and that time it was exactly at 2 ... once it was as late as 3:00 - no phone call that they were running late. That means they were still here when it was time to prepare dinner - something I was trying to avoid. When I first hired them I told them they could not be in this house any later than 5:00. They were then 3 out of 4 times.

I have now fired this company and have hired another. 

 

Cleaning is very good and worth the price. Cleaning women are nice and hard working.  However,  the company requires a two hour window for when they will arrive, and they do not even come within that time frame.  They are unable to work out scheduling issues and this is a big problem unless you are not home and do not care when they come.  Not sure I will be able to continue using them because of the unreliable scheduling. 

The first 6 months went well and I was very pleased but the last 3 or 4 times I have had problems. They are supposed to deep clean the tile floor every other visit which does not happen. Just damp mop and thats it.  I have noticed they have been using my cleaning products instead of theirs. The furniture does not get moved anymore, clumps of dog hair remain in the corners, floors do not look clean and worst of all they are ALWAYS late!  Today I am supposed to be the first house and they were to be here around 8:30. Well its 9:50 and no phone call no cleaning ladies! I am looking for a new service asap. On the good side: they have not broken anything or stolen anything.

So far I have no complaints. The team #13 who came to do the initial cleans were very thorough and the house smelled clean and was spotless. Team #5 came to do the first bi-weekly clean and were very good. Then Team #17 came today and did a fabulous job. The house was spotless when they left. They completed the cleaning in 2 hours.

It all started great. We had a team of 3 ladies who would arrive about 10am and clean our home office and leave about 12 noon. After a couple of months we noticed the bathroom was not as clean as the first times, then only two ladies came and were there an hour, then they started showing up late which meant if we both had noon appointments we would have to reschedule either the appointment or the cleaning. It just got too inconvenient when they became consistently late and did a half way job. We went back to doing it ourselves, which is not what we wanted.

When I first hired The Cleaning Authority, I was very happy with their services. They were always very willing to work with my schedule and around my sick days if cleanings needed to be rescheduled; I was very satisfied with the job that was performed and felt that my home was clean when they finished. The last month, however, something changed. Cleanings did not seem to be as thorough. I still have a cobweb on my window sill in my living room that has been there for a month (I wanted to wait and see if it was eventually cleaned) and following the last cleaning, my bedroom furniture was still very dusty.
My house is cluttered (I have four kids and a husband who is a teacher and in school part -time - all of which produce a lot of paper) and they used to just work around the piles (I'm not talking episode of hoarders here - just stuff I haven't had the time to go through or file away). During the past two cleanings, a lot of things were thrown away, crammed in trash bags and thrown into the garage mixed in with actual trash. Things lost included the warranty to our new air conditioning unit, a package of rechargeable batteries, the user's manual for my vehicle, a package of socks, my children's school pictures, some art projects.....obviously things I wouldn't want tossed out with the garbage. I sent an email to discontinue service as my husband was livid. They have yet to respond....

We've been using The Cleaning Authority's services for a couple of years. We like their "rotation" concept where they split the house into quandrants and do a "deep cleaning" of one quadrant on each visit, in addition to the standard cleaning of the full house each visit. We're very satisifed with their staff and the quality of their work.

I would give them a good rating, they are really good. They do the whole 9 yards. My home is just immaculate when they finish. They don't miss a thing; I have never had anything undone. They are just excellent. I think their price is a little high but then again I have never had anyone else for this service. I am so happy with how clean the house is.

Their scheduling is very flexible. They are dependable.

Overall, they do a good job but I am nervous about my fine art objects, and my dining room chairs ($800 each) that need to be handled with care. For now, I will continue using as I have had other cleaning companies in the past and I do feel this co is better.
