The 3 star review on the lumber is not unjust and is understandable as Pressure Treated Pine lumber has those tendencies. We agree in full the PT Pine is not the best option for a wooden fence, as we highly recommend Cypress over PT Pine for all those reasons you listed. We do offer all types of fence so we remain competitive with other bids being provided by other companies. In proceeding with a wooden fence, Cypress is a better option in our opinion. Tongue & Groove Vinyl fence may have been a better option for your particular project knowing how you feel about wood. We do sell the boards individually if you decide to replace any."

"While we understand your frustration and appreciate your review, we feel it is unjust in all facts related to your project. During your warranty period we did in fact service your fence promptly on several occasions and fully satisfied each concern at no charge. Please keep in mind, you signed the contract approving that you understood that Silverman Fence is not responsible for warping, twisting, splitting or any change in lumber shape or otherwise. When proceeding you chose a 6" wide board that has the tendency to split more often than 4", and this was explained to you prior to your material being manufactured. In providing top quality customer service, we went beyond our warranty coverages and took care of every concern immediately that you had relating to your fence structure and integrity. To confirm, the $75 service fee was not to just come out to property, the fee included any repairs needed. We ask that our homeowners take care in use of the gates by not allowing them to slam closed as this will cause damage to the frame structure over time. We apologize that we are unable to warranty wear and use beyond 1 year. We still appreciate your business. Project total for 1-4' gate and 11-Cypress 6x8 Board on Board sections installed with removal and disposed of old fence = total paid $1949.00"
