"Our crews do excellent work and are polite professionals. We appreciate you taking the time to note that, as well as the time to write this review. We apologize that it took multiple calls to get attention, instead of one. Our warranty is 10 years on labor and depending on the roof purchased, up to 50 years on the material, by the manufacturer. Your words did not fall on deaf ears and we are in the process of phasing in procedures to make sure we do not see negative comments on reviews again. Effective communications is important in all phases of life, not just business. From children to relationships the right communications is vital. Over the years we have done a considerable number of roofs and have made a lot of friends and happy customers. However, we do a poor job of requesting reviews. No one needs to be encouraged to voice disappointment but we should request reviews to paint an accurate picture of who we are. "Unfortunately the customer is correct, his payment for the re-roof we completed for him was stolen by our former employee. Our employee did offer him a discount to pay in cash. The member never called the office to find our if this was normal or not, he chose to take a cheaper price instead. Had he called and checked out this unusual request, we would had advised him not to do so as that is not one of our policies. As soon as we were made aware of the theft, the owner of Quality Discount Roofing met with the member in person and stated we will not be charging any customers effected by the theft again. Again, we will not be double charging even though we have no proof the member paid our former employee, we take his work for it as we do have proof of the theft. Unfortunately, we have been advised by our attorney unit the active criminal case against our former employee has been closed to place the liens on the property for our protection. This is our worst nightmare and we apologize for the stress and inconvenience this has called. All issues will be resolved when authorized by our attorney."

"Unfortunately there are times when delays can be an issue and we always do our best to resolve them. Most delays are weather related which causes scheduling issues. Please note this is a new review but the work was done nearly 3 years ago. In that time we have gone through our improvement phase and developed new alternate sources and procedures for many different issues. However, we still have to contend with the weather like any outdoor contractor. 1. It may not be raining in your location on the day your job is scheduled but the crew assigned to your job is delayed because of rain on the previous job. The existing job most be completed before yours can start. In those cases the office calls the day before your installation with an update. 2. The equipment required can be tied up on a job that has been delayed. Schedule changes can effect reserved equipment as well as work crews. We then have to secure comparable equipment, if available. A day or two is typically depending on what is required. 3. Very rarely, because of the layout of certain properties, only certain size dumpsters can be used. Dumpster placement is typically the issue. We would rather delay a job start and use the right equipment, than override the advice of our experts in the field and encounter issues. Once we do a job, it has a 10 year labor warranty and some products carry a 50 year manufacturer’s warranty. Thank you for your review and we appreciate your business.
