Neighbors indicated they were extremely slow starting the job but once started they finished timely and did a good job. It's a shame since we were leaning towards them based on feedback from others.

"My name is Mark Fries, owner of North Florida Roofing & Repair. I would like to take a minute to respond to the the review from [member name removed] . First, we have performed over 2,000 roofs in Florida since we started this company. This was done solely through customer satisfaction and referrals. We do not advertise. [member name removed] hired SEARS Home Improvement Inc to do her roof, not North Florida Roofing & Repair. She is unhappy with Sears so I get the brunt of her dis-satisfaction, which is unfair. We have never signed a contract with this customer NOR have we received any money from this customer. She is currently filing a lawsuit against her homebuilder and wanted my company to provide a damaging report in regards to the old roof to help her recover funds from him. We have too much pride in this company to help a consumer do this. We did however provide her with a letter stating the old roof was in descent shape, and since this letter will not help in her homebuilder lawsuit, she files complaints with every agency that will accept the complaint. In addition, she was very hurtful to our crew with borderline racists remarks about their heritage. We have also never received a copy of a receipt for tire damage, but once we receive it we WILL BE MORE than happy to reimburse. I hope that all future prospective customers will take this reply into consideration deciding on us for their roofing needs. I went with North Florida Roofing and Repair, the second company. They came and went EXACTLY when they told me. Mark Fries was extremely professional and knowledgeable. His crew is superb and very efficient. His company did a wonderful job. Mr. Fries returns phone calls within the hour, he shows up when he says he will (as does his crew!!) He explained exactly what they would do and answered questions with knowledge and respect. What started out as a very stressful situation, turned into the most pleasant home repair I have ever experienced...and my husband IS a General Contractor. If you have roof issues, do yourself a favor, go ahead and get the 3 estimates....that only makes sense, BUT MAKE SURE to contact North Florida Roofing/Mark Fries, his company is simply the BEST and I do not believe you will find a better more reputable roofing company in Jacksonville.

UPDATE: Today I stepped on a third rusty roofing tack that they left on my property and I am bleeding pretty badly.. I probably need a tetanus shot. No excuse for leaving this debris all over my yard. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!
