If I could give a grade LOWER THAN F I would. This woman is extrememly unprofessional. We had agreed on event timing and she decided to change her mind AFTER WE WERE SETTING UP. In addition she was in attendance and taking pics of our decorations and our PRIVATE guests the entire time. She would not go away just there looking over your shoulder. It was awful. DO NOT USE THIS VENUE YOU WILL BE DISAPPOINTED.

My husband and I were in a bind because we rented a house for our wedding and the owner sold the house three weeks before. We looked everywhere for a venue that would allow us to set up on Friday and take down on Sunday. We found Le Jardin on Park two weeks before the wedding date. We were soooo excited! Michael was willing to work with our situation. She agreed to let us set up on Friday and have our rehearsal there and agreed to letting us do hair and makeup there and break everything down on Sunday. Our situation was different than most because we built all of our own tables and bought antique couches, we already rented chairs and any extras from a rental company. We didn't need Michael to do anything except let us use her space. Easy right? We had no idea what we were in for. The day we went to sign the contract she acted like she had never said we could do our hair and makeup there. After arguing for 20 minutes because I had already contacted the hair and makeup people and all of my bridesmaids she finally agreed to let us, but acted like it was the biggest inconvenience EVER! The day before the rehearsal dinner she text my husband that we needed to be done at 7, when she had already agreed to letting us go until 7:30, only to find out that she wanted to have drink with her friends for cinco de mayo. When we signed the contract Michael said the band had to be done at 10pm because of the noise ordinance. The day of the wedding she was 20 minutes late letting us in for hair and makeup. Also, she told all of my guests it was last call at 9:45 and told my band it was their last song at 9:45. A band can play three songs in 15 minutes. She could have let me know that it was almost 10, but the band knew to stop at ten anyway. To top it off she kept our 300 dollar deposit and lied about damages that were not there. My husband and I would not change a thing, because our wedding was absolutely perfect in spite of Michael. It's so sad that she owns this venue because, it is absolutely perfect for an intimate, outside wedding. I don't think it's worth the hassle of dealing with Michael. She says one thing and then does another and is mentally exhausting to hold any type of conversation with her.

I was not involved in the planning of the wedding nor did I see the couple's contract. However,I was disappointed that the owner would not allow a speaker to be placed inside the house for the music and announcements to be made where the majority of the tables were set. This meant both grandmothers who were unable to go outside did not here the music nor the toasts. Even though the owner had told the bride, this would be possible. The food and music were located outside due to the the size of the two room seating area. This held approximately 10 tables for 8 people. This is a lovely location but not suitable for 100 people or more. There were no alternatives if it had rained. The parking was located down the street. Again not suitable for bad weather or disabled guests. After the bride's family had packed dishes and was preparing for a final walk through after the reception ended, the owner would not allow the mother of the bride back into the site. The cake plate, a container belonging to the bride's mother and some silver wear , small plates and flower arrangements were left behind. When I called on Monday after the Saturday event and left a message, my call was not returned till Wednesday . The owner assured me nothing was left behind other than a few forks and that the cake plate would be picked up by the cake company. Although I offered twice to come by and look for the missing items, she refused. She said she would mail the forks and deposit refund to the bride. Two weeks later, this has still not been done. While the couple was on their honeymoon, the owner spoke with the mother of the bride and threatened to charge the couple an additional $2,500 for the use of the hall prior to the 5pm wedding time. Even though the owner had told the bride there was no problem nor charge for her family setting up at 12 noon. This owner appears to be very sweet and kind and generous when renting her facility. But she was very uncooperative and inconsiderate the day of and after the event. Although it is a most lovely old home and adequate for a small event, BEWARE of this OWNER/OPERATOR?. She does not follow through on her verbal promises and is a difficult person to deal with. I definitely would caution others to beware and get all " promises and details" in writing. In total contrast, as the groom's family member, I had a wonderful experience with my caterer and the sight for the rehearsal dinner. No problems. No false promises or additional charges.
Description of Work: This was the reception site for my son's wedding . The bride's family brought the dishes and linens and silver wear for the tables. They did all the table settings prior to the wedding. The catering and music was also arranged by the bride. The owner and staff cleared plates washed dishes and served the cake and of course cleaned the site the night of the reception. The family of the bride packed and returned the dishes and table cloths. The food was served from a buffet line by the catering staff.
