Furniture - Sales
The problem is that they charged me for the expensive chair and gave me the cheaper chair. Then they tried to make me pay more for the chair I ordered.

Gave a run around with a new leather remote recliner. The remote is already not working. Still under warranty. original cost was 1400.00. Spoke to sales person...very very rude, unprofessional, threw his peer "under the bus," yelled at me, spoke non stop and when I attempted to speak spoke louder over me, hung up on me. Philips Highway/Avenues location. So unprofessional! Don't buy LZBoy!!!!

On February 12, 2011, my husband & I purchased two La Z Boy Recliners. When we received the recliners, his was fine . . . no problems. Mine was a horror story ! ! !
Mine is a recliner/rocker and is the most horrible experience I have ever had with a recliner. When you open it & try to recline, the mechanism is like a ratchet . . . ech ech ech until you get to the position you want. Closing it is so loud, it's unsettling. If you're just rocking, you get this incredible squeaking sound.
When I called for service I was told that nothing could be done about the noise because of the mechanism I had gotten . . . in the meantime, I was not provided a "test" chair to see what those sounds would be NOR was I even told it has annoying sounds. To make matters worse, this was a custom made chair . . . no exchanges, no refunds, no nothing.
Today I called about a new squeak I have and was told that I would have to pay "travel time" & labor charges . . . seriously?
Don't get me wrong, I love the fabric I picked out and enjoy the chair as much as possible with the noises but I WOULD NEVER BUY ANOTHER LA Z BOY again and would not recommend them to ANYONE . . . . run fast, run far
