They performed the work while I was at work.  When I arrived home the tech was just finishing up.  He walked me through the work he had done and showed me how to use the new thermostat.  He cleaned up and removed the old unit and the debris associated with the replacement.  They did a great job.

The tech arrived on time did a very good job on the services mentioned and was very professional. Additionally, their inside staff, particularly Lisa, did a very good job on handling my questions & concerns. I would highly recommend them.

Jand W may be the most professional, intelligent and confident company I have ever personally had the pleasure of interacting with. We had a dozen companies out to the house to try and solve a problem with our ducts and vents. Not only did all of the companies fail to get our business, they failed to even come up with a potential solution.
Enter Jand W... They came in and within 10 minutes had diagnosed the problem, quoted me a solution, and scheduled my appointment. Within days the work was completed and we avoided paying THOUSANDS in having our ducts replaced.
The best part? Their prices were extremely affordable, and now I'm having buyer's remorse for not having hired them to install our entire system!

It was the heat of summer and they came within 2 hours or me calling them. The same day they were out and replacing the AC. They built a new insulated box in the garage and it looks much better than the old AC system. The New system is functional and cosmetically appealing. The house was cool again in no time.

The technician arrived on time and was thorough in checking everything and spent time explaining why and what he was doing in servicing the unit. He answered all my questions and told me what I should do to maintain the system properly. My only complaint is the technician who came to my home is not the one the company originally told me would be doing the work. That being said, I am satisfied with the work that was done.

I realized my air conditioner stopped working late on Monday, September 30th. I wanted to set up an appointment with my former air conditioner company for the next day, knowing I would be subject to overtime charges if they came that night. The customer service rep. said I would be contacted shortly. It was two hours later and I got no response. So, I called back to find out the customer and quot;no serviceand quot; rep. took down my phone number incorrectly. After making corrections on my phone number, the rep. said I would be contacted within 20 minutes.
Five hours later, the company called me back and I refused to speak with them. I then joined Angie's List and called one of the companies listed. I got their voice mail and left a message. Not wanting to wait for a call-back at this point, I called another company on Angie's List, J and W Heating and Air. This time I got a and quot;liveand quot; rep to talk to. She said a technician could come out between 12:00-4:00PM. I went along with it, hoping he would come closer to 12:00PM rather than 4:00PM. The technician, Tom, arrived around 1:00PM. I explained to him that the air conditioner stopped working and that when I looked at the air filter, it was soaking wet. This led me to believe that my whole unit was and quot;goneand quot; and that I would be paying a fortune for a new unit. Of course, I did not tell Tom that. After a quick inspection, he determined that a and quot;decimatedand quot; fan blade on the outside unit was the culprit.
He said he could replace the blade for approximately $741. He would then check the inside unit, clean the coils and fix or replace any parts, if necessary, and I would be charged for what needed to be done. Or I had the choice of being on a maintenance plan and saving money. I'm wary of companies offering me maintenance plans, but I listened to what Tom had to say. The Platinum Plan which cost $327 seemed ideal for me. In this case all parts and labor would be included and I would get a discount on the blade.
My old air conditioner company said I needed my coils cleaned and they were going to charge me $500 to get it done. Not liking that price, I never had it done. So, getting my coils cleaned and all parts and labor included seemed like a good deal. So the bottom line is I paid $681 instead of $740 for the fan blade and $327 for the Platinum Plan costing me $1008. Tom worked quickly and efficiently and answered all of my questions. My air conditioner is now running better than ever! Thirty minutes after Tom had left, I received a call back from the company I had left a voice mail with hours before!
I recommend J and W Heating and Air to anyone demanding a quick response, decent price and best of all--honesty. Tom could have easily convinced me that I needed a whole new unit. But apparently that is not how J and W operates!

Bad exp , technician did not know what he was doing. Carrier system had Puron written all over the cabinet.

I apologize to your group and J and W Heating and Air, for this late submission which has been delayed by my wife's interim disability and my aging process which has not freed me from the 'ups and downs' of life's voyage. At a combined age of 152 years, my wife and I moved south to Jacksonville into a house which had a 17 year old heat-pump/air conditioning unit...more used up than us. Being new to the area we (yellow page) sought out HVAC sales with particular preference for 'R' units which we used in the past with great satisfaction. Jand W Heating and Air, was 1 of 9 companies that responded to my request for bids for (my researched) itemized units to be installed. Four bidders were within 'ball park' amounts and installation inspections by each of them was scheduled and, after which inspections, 2 of the 4 bidders tried to switch me to a 'G' unit which my research concluded was inferior merchandize, over priced and afforded the vendor an extra $1,000+ increased profit over (cost + profit) of competitive units. Of the remaining 2, Jand W, was higher priced (but not by much) and the sales approach/advise by Jand W's Mike Wildes, won the sale by J and W to us although 'C' units (OK by us) was his company's major line and very competitively priced to the 'R' unit we opted for.

We are now 8 months through heating and cooling seasons and are pleased with our unit and its installation (very quiet and fully effective) and their semi-annual inspection service. Mike, was 'on the money' on everything he said and promised. There was no equivocation, no deviation, just straight talk and full performance. Some months later, we found that the sole competitor of Jand W had (inadvertently) omitted a cost item that placed Jand W as the lowest price $ for $, pear for pear!

I wish Jand W sold everything my house needs as I would deal with Mike's group again, again and again! I have enclosed your questionnaire card which I have completed and rated J and W and you are free to quote this letter and my stated contents on that card. We had a pleasure meeting Michael Wildes from J and W Heating and Air Conditioning. He was punctual, extremely professional and knowledgeable. He checked the insulation in the attic and the air flow inside the house. He was courteous and patient answering all our questions and discussing in great details various options for A/C systems. And most importantly, we were given the most competitive price out of number of companies we contacted. We were impressed when we saw his proposal. In the end, we decided to postpone the purchase of the new A/C system for personal reasons but we would highly recommend J and W Heating and Air Conditioning for any A/C needs and we would not hesitate to use it again when time comes.

They have recently been bought out by a very good company. They are excellent and very good. They maintain my air conditioner and service it every quarter. They added additional units for eight houses in this community.

I have a service plan with them, and I pay $175 a year. They are professional. They have great ownership. They have a personal relationship with their customers and actually care about them. They installed a brand new heat pump and air handler for us about three years ago. I would continue to use them in the future.

The installers were great and very neat. They did not interfer with our daily lives and did their job well. Best part as they promised, our electric bill has dropped considerably with the new system. The system is so quiet and does an excellent job. We love the new thermostat.

We got 8 or 9 quotes because we were looking for air conditioning. We did research online and went to a patio show and went to different places. We went to them and got an appointment for a quote.

Our system was fighting to keep our home cool and our electric bills were horrible. The salesman from Jand W explained out options and about the current rebates and tax credits (which we didn't know about). He suggesedt a system that he felt would serve our needs and he was right. Installers arrived as promised and got to work taking out the old and putting in the new. Explained the new thermostat to us and has us up and running in no time. We checked our daily electric usage and even in 90 degree temps our electric usage has gone down. GREAT JOB

They were very professional and they had stuck to their quoted price. So far the work that have done was fine.

Company was coming and our house was getting hot! We called around and got a lot of recordings or answering services but Jand W answered our call right away. Donnie cam out and got our unit to work so we could get through the holiday but told us we were expecting a lot from our 25 year old equipment. He explained about efficiency and how our electric bills were higher than they should be. We ordered a new system and Jand W got it in right away. We are very cool and our electric bills have dropped considerably.
