"Mr. [Member Name Removed] called our office and spoke to Rhonda Leonard a 3 year employee on 3/8/2016. Rhonda emailed Mr. [Member Name Removed] an estimate for a deep clean of his home after a move out. Mr. [Member Name Removed] provided his email address and said he would get back with Rhonda. He explained the home was 2,006 sq. ft. with a 200 sq. foot florida room and asked that we include sweeping of the garage. We prefer that a project manager comes out to view the home however if all the content is removed as Mr. [Member Name Removed] stated our standard price is based on square footage. On 3/9 Mr. [Member Name Removed] called back and asked that we put him on the schedule for 3/15. When my crew lead Patsy Quantance a 24 year employee arrived that morning and Mr. [Member Name Removed] told her he didn't know why we were there. Mr. [Member Name Removed] stated that he had talked to many different companies and he didn't want our services. Patsy called the office and explained. Patsy left the home and was sent to help out another crew. Herring Cleaning is a family run business. We have been in business since 1978 and have many long term emplyees. Most of our residential clients have been on the schedule for over 20 years. I am the owner of the business. I oversee every job and i am present in the office and in the field everyday. Herring has always been successful through word of mouth and has never advertised prior to being contacted by angies list. Herring Cleaning prides ourself in work quality and in customer service. We always go the extra mile for our clients and feel badly that Mr. [Member Name Removed] feels like we were trying to harm him in any way. We didn't go past the front door and we left immediately when Mr. [Member Name Removed] said he didn't want our service. We have such a good reputation in town and 99% of our clients are referals so we don't ask a client to sign a work authorization until after we arrive. At anytime if a client would like to change the task requested of us we are always glad to do that. Often we arrive at a home to do a deep clean for a move in and end up helping unpack, making beds or whatever the client needs from us. We are willing and able to do whatever is necessary to customize each job to the clients needs because every clients needs are so different. I'm not sure why in price, quality, responsiveness and punctuality we were given an F. We didn't charge Mr. [Member Name Removed]. Quality couldn't be judged because we didn't do any work for him. As far as responsiveness we left as soon as Mr. [Member Name Removed] said he didn't need us. Punctuality is not an issue as we arrived before Mr. [Member Name Removed] even needed our services. The cost is listed for 500. Again our standard price is 25 cent per square foot and the home is 2,006 square feet per the information given to us. That price would work out to be $501.50 Mr. [Member Name Removed] never called our office after the crew arrived. I called Mr. [Member Name Removed] and left a message for him to call me so that i could understand what happened and do whatever was necessary to make it right with Mr. [Member Name Removed]."
