Company did not respond to message sent via website. Have selected another company for replacement of our HVAC system.
Description of Work: Recommendation is to call this company if you want to reach them - do not use their online message / contact system. I sent messages to 5 companies to request appointments for advice on replacement of our 3-unit HVAC system. 3 companies contacted me within 1 hour, one within 3 hours and, now almost a month later, I have not heard back from David Gray (message was sent 1/20/17 @ 9am). Other than people that I know who have worked for the company, I have no first hand experience with the company or the quality of their service. I cannot comment on the quality of the work performed but I can advice to call the company rather than rely upon their online contact system.

We have a very good turn around time and communicate best via email if that is your preferred method of communication. With technology you are never more than a click away! It never fails when you try to keep up with the evolving technological age that glitches do happen and occur and it appears that this is one of those cases. We provide 6 different emails on our contact page to various employees that can assist you without having to call. Once again, I am sorry that you experienced this issue. We have made significant improvements and upgrades and we are continually looking for ways to better help our Customers make contact with us, especially during times when you need Assistance. The two service techs arrived within the time frame. I was told performed an overall test and evaluation of my heat pump and found problem was related to the thermostat which they replaced. They also identified mold on the wall and wires w/ in the unit and recommended a WJ light system. I will schedule a separate appt. to have installed in another week. (they cleaned mold off before leaving).
Description of Work: Service all-tested heat pump. Renewed service contract. Replaced thermostat. Recommended WJ light for mold issue. Replaced out door fan motor.

I do apologize for the inconvenience in scheduling an Estimate for your HVAC System Replacement. This is one of the most daunting tasks that a homeowner can be faced with in Home Repairs. In our Computer System it appears that you contact our office on 10/10/16 at 1pm and the estimator called back 10/10/16 at 2pm to schedule a day & time that worked best with you. There was an appointment set for 10/14/16 at 11am. I do not show any other information as to if the appointment was rescheduled or cancelled. I am sorry that we were unable to help. Thank you for your time and I hope in the future should you have an HVAC issue you look to us to so we can gain your business back.

Thank you! I called David Gray Heating and Air Saturday for an emergency service call to stop a leak. With the high temperatures and it being a Saturday I expected to have to wait. The lady that answered the phone was very kind and the technician arrived at my rental property within 90 minutes of my initial call and solved them the problem. The bill was under $100 which is great for a weekend emergency call. I had used a different company for the last 6 years, but will use David Gray going forward. Thank you again. Have used David Gray Plumbing, Electrical and Heating and Air over the past 2 years and have been happy with their work, however of late, especially in this summer season, David Gray seems to be overbooking. I requested service on Thursday and they offered me service on Friday after 1:00pm but would not specify a window. I finally got a call at approximately 8:30pm. This is the third time this has happened to me and is unacceptable. I am going to seek out a provider that will give me a window of time and commit to it.

I do apologize for the scheduling issues that you encountered. This Summer in Northeast Florida was one of the Hottest on Record. We schedule all customers to the best of our ability and accommodate timeframes based on our company policy Before 1pm, After 1 Pm and First Call 8-9am. It is hard to determine how long a technician will be on a job when he arrives, it could be 45 minutes or upwards of 4-6 hours. Looking at the information that is our Computer System you called in on 7/11/16 and requested a morning call for 7/12/16, when we called that morning to head out it was requested to be rescheduled for the following day. 7/13/16 a technician went out per the time frame quoted and there was no answer at the door and a door knocker was left to call back and reschedule. Customer called back 7/14/16 to reschedule for 7/15/16 after 1pm. Contacted 7/15/16 after 1pm and left a message to call back or else the technician would be going to his next call. Contacted 7/18/16 to schedule appointment and left a message. Customer called back 7/18/16 and rescheduled for 7/20/16. The technician came out on 7/20/16 and found the system operating per Manufacturer Specification and in good working order. He noted some minor debris in the drain line and Customer questioned air flow throughout the house. The technician instructed the homeowner how to adjust vents and recommended a routine Preventative Maintenance Plan for 2 Visits per year and have a Service Technician look over the system to ensure proper operation. Once again I do apologize for the time it took us to get out to your property but these are our Standard Operating Procedures during Hi Peak Call Times. Thank you for your time and I hope that in the Future we are able to gain your business back.

Sales call never returned! Estimate never received!!! David Gray was the first one we called; their call back was 5 days after. No need to say that other vendors were much more proactive and had already completed our job earlier. If the sales rep takes 5 days to return a call, I wonder how long their service people take. Beware!
