Coggin Nissan on Atlantic

They kept me waiting for 4 hours for an oil change so they did not charge me. They get my car within a day or two of making an appointment and they wash and wax it before giving it back.

I do have to wait. Sometimes I have coupons. Other than waiting, I have no dislike for the service.

Everything was perfect. They were very good. I'm glad I can use them in the future.

My son bought a car from Coggin Nissan back in February. Last month, he got a letter in the mail regarding a recall issue that needed to be fixed. He took it to the dealership to get it fixed, and they discovered about $400 worth of work that needed to be done (the idler pulley, which needed to be fixed immediately, a leak in the lower oil pan, and filters that need to be changed).
Both he and I talked to Nissan to get the issue taken care of. He spoke to Richard Lupo, head of the service department, and he told him that he would do research to see if there were any preexisting issues that the sales department didn't want fixed. After not hearing from Richard in a few days, I called back and left a message. Today, I called back and left another message.
My son has already had to replace the battery, fix the idler pulley out of pocket, and still has to pay about another $150-200 for the rest of the repairs. These should have been covered under the extended warranty that he purchased at the time, but after reaching out to them, the warranty company said that these wouldn't be covered because they're considered as regular maintenance.
I can only advise that you be very careful about buying a car from Coggin Nissan, and that you don't get any extended warranty on any used car. As soon as they have their money, you're on your own.

We thought we were going to buy a car. When we walked in the door I told the salesperson that I was going to cosign for my son to buy a car. They said no problem. My son told him what he wanted and he did a test drive. We talked and haggled over the price for 30-35 minutes. The salesperson said we had a deal and went to get the general sales manager. They came back in and said that his name could not go on it. Everybody knew that I was going to cosign for my son. Everybody got upset and finally the general sales manager told us to get out of his dealership. We went to another dealership and told them the story. They said they would get the car and we could come back the next morning. Then they called and said that they couldn't get the car. We found out that they had called Acura financing and blackballed us so everyone we went to had a black flag that went up saying not to finance us. They were the worst. He and my son almost went to blows. They never questioned what I wanted to do until they said that my son's name couldn't be on the title. The general manager was all jumpy and acted like he owned the whole dealership.
