Awesome mechanics. I've been taking my old truck to Chris's for years now. I've never been happier with a mechanic. They always do a thorough check every time I bring it in there. I saved $350 going here! Tires Plus wanted $760.00 but Chris' Auto saved me a ton of money, got it done the next day, gave me a ride to and from my home and solved a problem with my alignment no one has ever been able to fix for the last 5 years! This shop is THE BEST! Save yourself time and money and go to these guys! The really are honest which is a word that gets thrown around too much in this industry but it truly applies to Chris' Auto! They even solved my XM Radio issue for my 2008 Nissan Armada!

I have absolutely no doubt that my Father GOD and Christ Jesus the King guided me to this mechanic shop - I had seen a used vehicle that I was interested in purchasing and had done as much research as I could - checking to make sure it had a clear title - purchasing a vehicle history report - more importantly - praying about it. The only thing left was to have a used vehicle inspection. I knew I didn't want to drive it an hour away for the inspection and knew it would be slim that the owner's would allow me to do that. Then a commercial for Angie's list came on - letting everyone know that it's now free to join - so I went on Angie's list - searched for mechanic shops in the area of where the used vehicle was located and there it was - Chris' Automotive Repair & Service, Inc. - listed as the top rated - golden seal of approval on Angie's list - more importantly my Father God and Christ Jesus the King told me this was the one. That feeling - of rightness - came over me from the get go. Ryan Rush, the Assistant Manager, and all the employees of this shop are AWESOME!! You can feel, as soon as you speak with them or walk in to the shop, the honesty, trustworthiness and knowledge. It just exudes! I have never felt or had any of the experiences listed above at ANY mechanic's shop I have called or stepped foot into. And believe me - my luck hasn't been the best with vehicles - so unfortunately for me and fortunate for them - there has been several over the course of my life. The inspection was completed so thoroughly - using three different mechanics and taking two hours. The written estimate and verbal explanation of what issues existed and needed to be addressed, if purchased, was very clear and in laymen terms. The cost of the inspection was very reasonable and less then one of the local shop(s) located in the county where I live. I have no doubt that it would have been less then ALL of the shops located in the area I live if I would have called them all and it would not have been completed as thoroughly. It's an hour's drive for me to Chris' Automotive Repair Shop and I'm figuring out a plan so that Ryan and the crew - at this shop - are the only bodies and hands allowed to work on or under this vehicle. I trust them implicitly and have recommend them to EVERYONE - Thank you Ryan and crew!!!

The chain wanted to charge $600 for a cracked cover that Chris's team discovered was perfectly fine. Chris took pictures of the gasket on the car before removing and provided me the remanufactured water pump with part of the gasket still glued incorrectly. In addition to providing me with the pictures and the water pump, Chris wrote out a detailed summary of the service to allow me to take to the chain to get a refund. The final price was less than the remanufactured water pump the national chain installed. Chris and his team are extremely friendly and helpful. They were very informative.

Chris and his team have been extremely friendly, descriptive, and helpful. Among other issues, I had my AC go out in the Florida summer, and they carefully checked every part until they found and repaired each issue. I also checked their prices against several sites I found on the internet, and they were always on the low end. It's hard to find an auto service you can trust, and thankfully we'll be going here from now on. I highly recommend them to my friends and co-workers, as I'm sure they won't be disappointed. We used Chris before and trust him to do repairs on an older Volvo. The local dealer is pretty much useless. We live about 50 miles out of Jax and our only issue this time was that one of the shocks had not been sufficiently torqued causing us to return a day later. Still the issue was resolved while we waited. We did wish the test drive had caught before we did.

I have used Chris three times. The cost I put for the seat motor is misleading because most of that is the cost of the motor from Toyota. Chris not only installed the motor for a reasonable labor charge, but spent a lot more time attempting to repair the seat back for no additional charge that Toyota had already told me was not fixable. The cost of the bearing repair for two was below what I got from another repair shop for one and half the price for two that I got from Toyota for one. This is the easiest Angie's review that I have done. The bottom line is that I have always dreamed of finding a honest, knowledgeable and reasonably priced mechanic and after all these years I have finally found him. And he and Ryan are very personable also. It is just really fantastic to be able to take your vehicle to Chris and not have to check around to validate that you are getting a reasonable price and not have to worry if you are getting ripped off.

In the distant past I was not quite satisfied with my auto service provider but now the one that I have is really nice. I use Chris' Automotive Repairs and Service, Inc. He is my mechanic for about over a year now and I have a car in there right now. The last service was about 2 or 3 months ago. The last time they altered a gasket changed the water pump and just a bunch of random stuff. They are efficient. They are quick. Their prices are competitive. I have not had any issues since the last service provided to me. I will use this service provider in the future.

Chris called me back with thirty minutes with a reasonable estimate of cost of the only overnight time estimate. He describe all work, gave me the old belt. Will definitely use his services again.

My experience with Christ's Auto Repair was excellent. They checked and found the problem, gave me an estimate and did the repairs in the time quoted. Absolutely no problems at all. Very good and quality work. I would certainly recommend them for auto repair service. Since one of their service technecians lives in the neighborhood they even picked up my car and brought it back that same day.

I had found Chris's Automotive on Angies list where his ad said that he specialized in all foreign cars, especially old Volvos. Chris is very polite and knowledgeable. I have had 3 Volvos over the last 36 years and have done a fair amount of work on them myself. Chris was good at gauging what I could understand and what I couldn't and neither spoke above or below my skill level. He explained in detail what he would do and why. He said that he would use KYB aftermarket shocks vs. Monroe or others that are more typical replacements. He said that the KYBs would restore the tight, European handling and ride to the car. And they did--the ride is show room quality. And he did the shocks/struts at $70 less than an estimate from a local tire store that proposed using the Monroe's. Chris sent the manifold out to a machine shop to be milled. He even showed me digital photos of before and after shots of the mating surfaces of the header and told me how much metal had to be removed to get it flat again. The repair has performed flawlessly ever since. I would not hesitate to take my Volvo--or my high-mileage Nissan Maxima--to him for repairs in the future. When I first took the car in to him, he told me he would probably have to keep it 2 days, however he had it ready same day. I was quite pleased.

My sister introduced me to Chris when he opened his own shop last year. It was such a relief to finally have a local mechanic with whom my family had had experience (over 15 years of knowing each other; and around 7 years to providing mechanical services to my sister and brother-in-law). The first time I used C.A.R.S. was when my brakes lights would not turn off until I removed the fuse was leaking in my 1993 Nissan Altima and Chris took care of that little problem. I was totally satisfied with the entire experience and felt certain I would be returning the next time I needed any kind of service. When it was time for a oil change I went back to C.A.R.S. A really awesome service is that I took the car to the shop and Chris' wife, Carletta, took me to work, got me there on time, and then return to pick me up at the end of my work day. When Chris did the oil change he checked my car over and advised that there was an oil leak and that the valve cover gasket needed to be replaced. At my earliest possible opportunity I brought my car back for that service. Chris Martin is an honest, efficient, reliable and reasonably priced mechanic. He takes his time to thoroughly explain mechanical issues with me and does not talk down to me because I am a woman. He runs a very clean shop. Now I will not go anywhere else in Duval or Orange County for maintenance and repair of my vehicle. Not just the one I currently have, but any vehicles that I may purchase in the future.
