Chase Heating and Air Conditioning

They were tremendous. They came out on Sunday night, and the owner came in within 20 minutes of our phone call. They were professional, kind, and I plan to go back to buy a new system once I need one.

Charles was obviously very knowledgeable of the system and took me along as he showed me the different elements of the system and how he would test them. He told me as much as I wanted to know, and then I was able to focus on other work as he got to work. The whole process took about an hour and a half and I'm very pleased with the work, and the cold air that has reappeared!

First, I called at 10:45 PM and Charles the owner answered the phone, I told him what was happening and he said he was in the area and could be there in 15 minutes... WOW the owner , on a Saturday night. Anyway, he was there in 14 minutes, he looked at the situation and did a detailed job, reviewing every possible issue and found the problem. He had the part on his truck and we where up and running with cold air by 12 midnight...Outstanding...

My A/C unit stopped working correctly yesterday. I used Angie's List and found Chase Air. My experience was just as I expected after reading previous reviews. Charles was professional, knowledgeable, and fixed my A/C unit as expected. He took the time to explain the issue in detail. I was very happy from beginning to end.

System worked perfectly thru the winter and I never noticed the heat strips activated.

Went well. Addressed problems and concerns with apology and extra service. Complete satisfaction.

We had Chase out to the home and they were very knowledgeable. They came up with an excellent, highly efficient plan. The work isn't completed yet, but it seems to be going well so far!

Excellent! Excellent!! Excellent!! Would only recommend this company! I called in 3 companies to provide quotes for the replacement of my units. Charles is the only person that came in and inspected the existing units, duct work, thermostats, and everything else associated with my HVAC setup. Charles and his team investigated why my existing units failed (they were 6 years old ((builder grade)) and why I had uneven air distribution throughout my house. Charles and his team diagnosed my problem as incorrect ducting that caused my existing units to be overworked - like a marathon runner trying to breathe through a straw - in layman terms. Chase Air received my business to replace my HVAC System, move the location of the HVAC units to the side of the house, and to correct the duct work. The Chase Air work force is highly trained, performs well above average in quality of work and are all very polite. I paid more for Chase Air to work this job. But there is no doubt in my mind that I have saved money in the long term by not having to replace HVAC units again in another 5-6-7 years. I now have a top notch HVAC system, duct work that can support the new system and even air distribution through out my house. I have already noticed that the HVAC units run less often and my electric bill is significantly less. Everything about Charles and his team is A-one! I would not recommend anyone else!

The serviceman had booties to protect my carpeting. It was much appreciated. I'd thought I had a problem with the thermostat, but he couldn't duplicate it. However, since he was here, he inspected my system thoroughly. I'm new to this HVAC concept and hadn't had it inspected. It seems it was a good thing it was inspected on this occasion as the items mentioned above were needed. I had a reduced fee on the initial $100 diagnostic because of the coupon and senior discount. With the cost of the freon, it came to about $200. In addition, the serviceman gave me an education on the workings of the HVAC system.

Beverly called on the date of service to let me know that Dustin was on his way within the scheduled 2-hour window. Dustin arrived shortly and with total courtesy and professionalism began his thorough check and inspection of my Carrier system. Once he made sure everything was working properly, he decided to change out a capacitor that Charles had installed about 6 months earlier. Seems it wasn't working quite as well as it should be or there was some indication that it might not last another 6 months. Anyway, Dustin changed it out, giving me a new one at no charge for parts or labor. He says that's just the way they operate to keep the customers' units running and to avoid them having to call Chase due to a breakdown. I can't express how nice it is to find such honesty and professionalism in the service industry. In my book, they are the best.

superbly - workmen matt and rick were amazing. our air/heating never worked correctly - now the home is as it should e very comfortable. they worked really hard and we extremely neat. when it was done , i never even knew wokmen had been in my home JUST AMAZING INCREDIBLE-- HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY. THE OFFICE ASSISTANT,BEVERLY, WAS PLEASANT, COURTOS, AND EXTREMELY EFFICIENT. THE OWNER OF CHASE AIR CAME OVER AND EXPLAINED ALL TO US BEFORE JOB WAS STARTED AND EVEN HAD A FULL BINDER OF PHOTOS, ETC. THIS COMPANY IS DEFINITELY TOP KNOTCH. THEY LEFT NOTHING UNDONE, ALL WAS EXPAINED CLEARLY. JUST TERRIFIC. DON'T LOOK ANY FURTHER GO WITH CHASE AIR.

I really like them and trust them a lot. They took apart an air-conditioner that is about 20 years old in my rental home and pressure washed all the components of the air-conditioner. I was thoroughly impressed.

My experience with Chase Air was outstanding from start to finish...and then some. Finally someone who actually does everything they say they are going to do...and then some. They took the time to ensure each phase of the job was completed to my satisfaction and took some extra steps to make sure things were accomplished above the standard. Great company and leadership through and through...

It turned out well. They gave me a good quote and were able to complete the work in a timely fashion. I had one slight issue and I called them and they came back the next day and took care of it and it was a good experience.

Thoroughly tested AC to diagnose problem. Replaced burnt contacts and two condensers. Problem persisted but I was able to maintain cooling until Charles returned (luckily). Ended up changing out thermostat and that fixed problem (four months ago) no problem since. He is not cheap, but told me up front of billing process and applied it in a fair manner. Due to requirement to keep coming back (2-3 times) was a bit of a problem and did not return right away but may have been because I was able to make contacts keep unit running so we did not burn up. Otherwise could have been a big problem. Pricing/billing was fair. Charged for initial service (though unsuccessful in resolving problem) but made no other charges even after having to replace thermostat with one better than I had. All in all very pleased with Charles' service, performance and professionalism.

The operator was very courteous and worked around my schedule. The serviceman came out as promised. He discovered and fixed the problem quickly and gave me some advice on managing my system. There was no pressure from him to buy extra services and there were no added charges.

The owner - Charles promptly came over the day my air handler went out to give me an estimate. He spent about 2 1/2 hours performing a very thorough analysis of my situation and explaining all the details. Snyders had been over an hour earlier and just gave me a estimate, but did not explain anything and they left out a lot of items that I needed. Charles went up in the attic and did an inspection of the duct work. That revealed I was losing a lot of air the ducts needed retaping (but the insulation was thorough). He also explained the return duct going into the air handler was not large enough for this new efficient unit, so I would need an additional duct. The base for the air handler was also included, which I knew I needed, Snyder didn't think so. There was the base for the compressor that also needed replaced. There would need to be a return vent installed that would replace the vents built into the walls since this would be inefficient also. Then he set down with me and went over all the details explaining all the options. I was thoroughly impressed with his knowledge, professionalism and most of all his honesty. I knew I didn't need anymore estimates. Since I was without air, Charles rearranged some of hist routine calls and came over the next day to install the units. They were here 16 hours straight making sure everything was perfect. The only thing that I am not FULLY pleased about was that Charles stated I would be saving half my electricity bill. I waited 2 months before posting this review to find out what the savings really was and it looks to average about 1/3 off last years bill. That could be off some based on the weather we have had lately. But I am still pleased. I will also get a rebate on taxes from getting a 15 SEER unit.

Great response time and outsdanding work.

I called Charles based on his good ratings on Angie's List and the close proximity to my Mother-in Law's residence. Although I live in Maryland, my 84 year old Mother-in-Law depends on me to help her with these types of things. When I called, I explained to Charles that the HVAC unit was inoperable and my elderly Mother-in-Law, who had just had bypass surgery, was very concerned. Charles told me that he would be there within two hours to assess the situation. Within the next hour and half, he called me in Maryland to explain what he had found and to give me an estimate of the costs. He initiated the repair to the relay but had to come back to fix the conduit as it was not a standard part. He repaired the conduit a few days later as promised. As you might imagine, it is very difficult to handle these things from so far away. I appreciate the very timely response especially with regard to an elderly relative.

The professionalism of the outfit was clear from the start. The serviceman would not set foot in my house without wearing protective covers on his shoes. He was clear in his explanation of things. When the owner came to gather data for the replacement quote, it was the same thing. He brought another employee with him, they made detailed measurements, and explained the calculations. There were several aspects of the existing air distribution system that were sub-par and not to current code(undersized stud-cavity returns, for example). They did not imply that it was necessary to comply with the newer codes, but they explained what the differences were. In the end we decided to replace it all, which was then all done to the current code. Plus we added some outlets, improved the filter system and got a big improvement in energy efficiency. In addition to the product, I was buying in to their package of services(promptness of service commitments, among several other things). Overall, I was extremely comfortable with their skill level, craftsmanship, work pace, and the quality of the materials and products. I don't normally give straight-A's to anyone, but I feel like if I had any issues, they would be falling over themselves to get here and resolve them. Plus I got a dandy electronic programmable thermostat, that I can actually use! Note: with a large air-handler in the attic, I had other contractors not sure of how to replace it. Chase measured, figured, and said it could be done. And they did it. It required making a slightly larger attic access hatch. The project involved the compressor unit, air handler, ductwork, and controls using an Amana brand reverse-cycle heat pump.

Service man was here on time and did what I believed to be a thorough job. He was new to the company and was not able to answer many questions concerning company policies, but did a good job overall, I would use them again.

They provided a very good price. They were very responsive. I was very satisfied with the work. They weren't able to schedule the work. They were supposed to do the work within two days and it ended up being 4 weeks.

Excellent and the work was completed promptly.
