Great experience from start to finish. My A/C wasn't blowing cold air and it was hot and stuffy by the time I got home from work for the last couple of days. I called one company my neighbor referred and they said they would call me to come by in the afternoon but never did. So I jumped on Angie's list that same night and read the reviews about Chase Air. Needless to say, I called and spoke with Derek (sp?) and described my problem to him. He let me know right away that he was booked in the morning but would have someone come by in the afternoon. I told him I would need at least 15 mins. advance notice so I can leave from work to meet Mark at the house. So that afternoon came and I received the call from Derek that Mark had just finished his last job and was making his way to my house. Mark arrived on time, was very professional, introduced himself and had all of his equipment ready to get to work. I briefly described my problem and he went straight to work diagnosing the possible causes. He found I had a bad capacitor (15 yrs. old) and suggested a couple of different options. He was very thorough with his explanation of the options avaiable and was honest about my current unit. He recommended I think about replacing it soon but was not at all trying to sell me anything. Rather than replacing my unit now, I decided to replace the bad capacitor and hope that my unit will be serviceable for another few years before I absolutely have to replace it. I have the quote in writing but I like to do my due diligence and get as many quotes as possible. Although, I have a pretty good feeling I'll be calling Chase Air again when the time comes. I would highly recommend them for your heating/AC needs. Thanks!

They were able to come out on short notice. They showed up on time and quickly diagnosed and repaired the problem with the unit for the upstairs. Then they did routine maintenance on both units.

I've used Chase Air several times over the past three years and have found the owner and staff to be of the highest quality character. I use them exclusively for that reason. I don't live in Jacksonville and have to trust Chase Air entirely. I can't be there to supervise or second guess them. I have never been disappointed. Charles, the owner, takes responsibility for everything that happens, and lives up to his promises. Additionally, he has been very helpful with advice and design assistance that really does have my best interests in mind, even when it may reduce his revenue. Chase Air is a small business in an industry experiencing tremendous demand, so some allowances need to be made as they are usually swamped with calls. When the owner is personnally involved and is willing to call me late at night to let me know how my after hours emergency repair is going, I am impressed. He has earned my business for years to come.

I called Chase Air today to schedule an appointment for annual maintenance. The technician was in my area so could do it this very afternoon. He arrived promptly and was very courteous and professional. He did a thorough check of the unit, cleaned all the coils and added the necessary fluids. At first I thought $99 was a little high, but this company really did a thorough job compared to the company I was previously using, and spent much more time testing and cleaning. I will definitely be using them again and highly recommend this company.

I usually try and use companies located at the beach but after a few bad experiences with AC companies I tried Angie's List and luckily call Chase. Excellent experience.

Chase Air did a fabulous professional job - so much better than any other A/C service company I have dealt with. The office personnel were very responsive to my needs. The technicians were on time, professionally dressed, curtious, super competent, and repaired the prior company's mistakes, They displayed keen attention to detail, commented on my overall systems' operation, and had sincere openess to any and all questions. Chase Air did fabulous job and has a good work ethic. Pricing was "slightly high" but well worth it. As they say: "You get what you pay for".

He cleaned our inner unit inside of the house. We had been told we need to replace it but all he did was clean it and we haven?t had any problems since. He did change the switch on the outer unit that was it. They were very good.

They came out 3 times a year and they were always very clean. They are good at diagnosing. Always follow through. They are drug free. They have been taking care of all my air conditioning needs and he backs his work. They are very consciensus. They go through all the rooms to make sure all rooms are at a good temperature and makes sure my energy bills are going to be correct. They are very Christian. He also did some duct work which was also included in the final bill. He modernized my duct work which was all included in the bill.

Technician arrived on time and went straight to work performing maintenance on the HVAC unit. Then he came inside to examine the thermostat - something I was not expecting. He determined that the thermostat had incorrect settings from the time it was installed 5 years ago that caused the system to function improperly - and generated higher than necessary electric bills. He tried to correct the settings on the old thermostat for which we had no manual. Finally he installed a new thermostat. We have had very cold weather since he did the work and the heat is definitley running more smoothly and evenly. He also replaced a worn part on the outside unit. He patiently explained what he was doing and why. I was very impressed by his professionalism.

Their service really stood out when the next day the programmable thermostat stopped working, leaving me without heat again. Even though it was installed (by Chase) over two years ago and no longer under warranty, Charles came by that day and replaced the thermostat with no cost to me at all.
Description of Work: The defrost control board on the outside unit was broken, so the heat was not working when it was regularly below freezing at night. Charles came out the next day replaced the control board and got the system up and running again.

AC quit. Called Chase Air. Came same day. Diagnosis: Compressor dead, need new system. New system installed and running by noon next day. Very pleased with service and professionalism. Cannot yet comment on quality of gear installed as it is brand new, but was the least expensive offered by Chase. I believe, judging by their quality reputation, that I will not be disppointed. Solid warranty for parts & labor. Based on latest invoicing, Chase Air address above changed to: 6539-2 Powers Ave., Jax FL 32217. Phone 904-730-2099.
Description of Work: Complete replacement of 16-yr-old heat pump system (new compressor unit, new air handler unit, new lines run). Original ductwork ok, recently cleaned. Complete replacement necessary because required refrigerant has changed since 1994.

The tech was extremely nice, courteous and considerate. He told me what he was going to do and made sure I was comfortable with it. The price was reasonable. I will call Chase again if I need service.

Chase replaced my old air conditioner and air handler in 2009. The unit has been working great for over a year, and I am happy with the company's service. The only issue we've had was a clogged drain line, but after reporting the problem Charles arrived within a couple hours and had the drain line cleared within 10 minutes. The staff has been very friendly and courteous in person and on the phone.

Charles, the owner, was very professional and very attentive to everything I needed. I used them to have the air conditioner fixed and they kept me from spending a lot of money. Other companies told me they needed to pull out coils that would have cost me $500-600. They are very honest and punctual.

I spoke to Charles today from Chase Air. I had questions about what ANOTHER company was doing in my home (home warranty). I began having problems at the beginning of the season with my house staying cool throughout the day. I noticed my unit was running all the time and the temperature on the thermometer did not reflect the temperature I would set for my house. If I had the thermostat set at 76 degrees it would become as hot at 85 degrees in the afternoon. After calling Chase 72 degrees Air Conditioning and Heating my problems and questions were solved. I felt comfortable talking to this company about my options and understood the scope of my problem by their explanation. I will definitely use this company again and am glad I found them.
Description of Work: I received a super tune up which included many services. They also replaced and installed a new capacitor to keep my old unit functioning until it is time to purchase a new unit. This company was very pleasant and professional. They explained in detail with equipment and gauges the problems my old unit was experiencing and my choices for resolving the problem. I

My AC went out Saturday night. Being a cancer patient and having Chemo a few days before, made the heat in my house intolerable. I called Chase Air Sunday morning and Charles said he would come over and work on my unit to try to get it working. He arrived within 30 minutes that same Sunday morning, diagnosed the problem and repaired the unit. He more then met my expectations. He was extremely professional, more than fair priced and was honest! I have already recommended him to my friends and family. This is a profession company in every aspect!

My air conditioner stopped working. Called for service. They were able to come the next morning (?). Quickly, and accurately, diagnosed problem related to bad multi-top capacitor; however, then were going to charge me the 'straightforward' price rather than my 'comfort club' pricing because my account had expired two months previously. I objected because my account expired because they missed the semi-annual inspections of my 3 units per the comfort club agreement. I only discovered the lapse in coverage when I one of my units broke down earlier in June. They came for repair, and I scheduled an appointment for the 2nd missed inspections they missed. After taking off work to be the first appointment of the day for these inspections, they were a no show. When I called them after waiting 1.5 hours, I was informed they didn't come when it rained. I was then out of town for several weeks. So, when they arrived for this 6/18/10 service call, they felt I was no longer within the comfort club membership from the previous year and pressured me to sign an agreement for the 2010-2011 year, this without having received my 2nd inspection for the 2009-2010 year due to negligence on their part. (I was disappointed to find that the person informing me of this opinion was the owner of the company, Charles). Before deciding whether I wanted to sign up for the 2010-2011 year, I told Charles I wanted to have my 2nd inspections for the previous paid period. I scheduled these inspections and was told everything was okay. However, within hours of the departure of the technician, I had a roofer come to check leaks on my ceilings, which he discovered were coming from AC unit. I called Chase and they came back the next morning. Confirmed the leaks on the ceilings were due to condensation running down the pipes from the AC unit. However, to repair it, they were going to charge me the out of comfort zone price unless I signed up for the 2010-2011 year, even thought the inspection was within the period of my 2009-2010 pay period. I objected and agreed to part ways. I will no longer be doing business with Chase Air.

Response from Chase Heating and Air Conditioning
Our records show the following: Maintenance agreement sold over phone and 3 tune-ups on 3 systems performed on 3/7/2009 by Dustin Smith. On 10/20/2009 Second tune-up on all three systems was performed by Dustin Smith. Maintenance agreement was not renewed and lapsed on 3/7/2010. On 5/10/2010 Client had a service call and was treated like a maintenance client, being placed on a high priority, 24 hour response with no service call fee charged. Bad multi tap capacitor was replaced at the discounted price. Client looked at renewing maintenance, but wanted to think about it. In between we had scheduled another scheduled service visit, which would have been on a NEW maintenance agreement, and cancelled due to heavy rain. We rarely cancel due to weather. Sorry. Numerous calls were made by Brad to re-schedule and were not returned. On 6/18/2010 another emergency service call, with another unit having a bad multi tap capacitor. This time we charged for one months worth of maintenance. We felt this was quite justifiable since the client had not paid for 3 months. On 6/30/2010 a new maintenance was performed. The client did not pay Matt at the time of service for an unknown reason. She called back concerning the stain on the drywall that the roofer indicated was HVAC related. Matt indicated to her that the stain was old and was probably from a previous leak from one of her Air handlers (this return visit was also for free). He pointed out that the only source of moisture at the time was condensation on the uninsulated PVC pipes that ran throughout the attic. This is a common occurrence and has been the case for her pipes since the home was built. He relayed to the office that she wanted to have them insulated and he quoted her a very fair price. She became angry and told him to leave. I believe this incident is based on a false assumption that we did not perform the second tune-up. This is the first time I have heard of this in all of our communication. I was perhaps assuming that she remembered the visit on 10/20/2009 by Dustin.

The overall experience with Chase Air has been the BEST I have ever had with dealing with a service company of any kind. The service was top notch and the people who completed the work were very courtious and extremely knowledgable. I would definitely suggest that if you need A/C work done that you contact Chase Air.
