I do not recommend using Carpet One. Communication between employees, contractors and the customer was horrible; due in large part to an employee who wrote down a totally incorrect contact phone number for us. We reached out to correct both the spelling of our last name and the phone number several times. This incorrect phone number was provided to contractors and other employees who then called and claimed they’d tried us several times and left messages. But of course, they hadn’t called us. Our initial order was for pickup. It was the wrong product (but it did include the pad we requested). So we waited 2 weeks for the correct product. We determined that we would require a contractor to do the work. Our home was measured. We reviewed the total amount of flooring and pad required and price and had to request adjustments for the amount already ordered and received. Installers arrived without padding and informed us that the warranty would be voided if padding was installed. (The manufacturer’s website says otherwise.) We discussed our initial plan to piece into the existing flooring where it had flooded and been cut out. The installer told us that was not possible to do with this type of product. Transitions were glued directly to the cement, tile and carpeted floors without track. We found glue on an adjacent room’s carpet. The transitions pop and crack when stepped on and 2 had glue ooze out from beneath them onto the new floor. Upon completion, there were 3 full boxes of flooring and 17’ of transition remaining! The entire process was so poorly executed that we sent a registered letter to the office. The sales manager assured that he would call us back after that. Incorrect phone numbers were called even after the office verified our correct contact information (again). Three weeks after the installation, the sales manager finally sent us a text. We were told that someone in the office had called, that the installer had called… all apparently using the wrong number. Someone was sent out to clean the glue. They scarred the new floor while scraping off the glue with a screw driver, discolored another spot with acetone and cut the glue out of our carpet! A text from the office a month after the installation provided the installer’s phone number. He came back thinking he was going to clean the glue. When he saw the scarring, he said he could replace just those pieces adjacent to the transitions (after he told us you can’t do that with this type of flooring). And he would have to tear up the transitions to do so. He did end up making the floor look good but laid the transitions back down with glue and without track. We were finally credited for the overage in materials, but of course, we paid for that amount of material to be installed. And the installer told us he “would need that transition for future repairs!” The entire experience was terrible.

It was a good price and the carpet has held up fairly decent. It was about $1000 for 600 sq ft of carpet and install, it was a great deal. It was just one guy who did the three rooms of carpet: my master bedroom and my two smaller guest bedrooms. They were on time; the guy came out and measured the house for the carpet. They were very responsive and there was no problem setting up an appointment for the measurement and for the install. I also got a bid for some bathroom work, but I chose another contractor, although they were competitive.

Very unprofessional regarding customer service. Seemed only concerned with payment and not willing to listen to reason. They were demanding a COD payment and at the same time they could not tell me when the installers would arrive with the carpet. Cash on Delivery (COD) is fine but you got to deliver it first. I found Mike the Salesman to be very combative and Dick the VP to be having a hard time understanding that I would pay once his installer shows up so I could review the installation process and the products to be installed. I am a repeat customer and will never do business with these clowns again. In fact they recommended that I pay with a credit card so If there is a dispute that I would have the backing of the card company.. Again they want final payment before the job is done which puts all the burden of a potentially poor job on the customer not the vendor which would already have all your money. If you get involved with these guys its and quot;Money First ......Service Laterand quot;

Plenty of bumps in the road, but a good conclusion. Negatives: - High Pressure Sales (wouldn't quote a price until they tried to and quot;win me overand quot;) - Were actually not able to get stock of promised carpet, by promised date Positives: - Selection - Good communication throughout - Final Price was very competitive - Installation went smoothly - Final product looks great Why would I recommend them? They did everything to make sure I was happy, which included: - Switching me to a better carpet at no cost once my selection was not available in time - Visited after installation to see if there were any questions/issues.

We purchased 3 rooms of carpet from Carpet One after shopping other carpet sales stores in our area. Carpet One provided the most helpful information, the best price, and had our carpet choice in stock. We are very happy with the installation. The installer was not happy with the measurements he was provided for one room. He discontinued the job, left and picked up another piece of carpet, and installed it with 2 small seams. I was impressed. We would not hesitate to shop Carpet One in the future.
