Matthew Rogero, Project Manager, was thorough and professional to the max. The crew that came out to actually do the roofing were polite, efficient, and cleaned up well afterwards. It all went exactly as Matt had described. So glad to have this done well!

It went fast and very smoothly. Enjoyed working with them and the project manager. He’s no longer there but he was the reason I selected Benton due to how nice he was and detailed in explaining the process

So unfortunately I had mixed results with Benton Roofing recently. About two months ago they put a new roof on my home. The salesman Mike was very nice and professional and the rest of their staff was the same. Our issues arose when they arrived to install the roof. About an hour into the install I noticed that they had new roofing vents in my driveway that I did not order. I inquired about this and was told they were adding these additional, incorrect style vents to my roof, which was not what I agreed to or paid for. I told the crew supervisor who had to call the salesman to verify I was correct. The salesman arrived on site awhile later and confirmed that they were supposed to cover all existing vents and not add these new ones. If I would not have caught this myself they would have installed large vents that were not supposed to be cut into my roof and would have had to correct later. Which would have been a real pain and extremely inconvenient for me and my family. After the new roof was installed I noticed that there were two corners of my roof where the shingles were cut crooked, layered too thickly and were separating. I contacted the salesman, Mike who came back out to my home a few days later to inspect it. He told me that he would have his team come back out to fix the shingles. Well, I waited about a week and did not hear anything so I contacted Mike again. He told me that he would follow up with his team and get back to me. Long story short I did not hear anything for several weeks so I began calling their main office to inquire why I had not been contacted. The office staff were friendly and they told me they would contact their roof repair team and have them come out. I did not hear back for several days so I called them again. During this call they scheduled a specific appointment for the repair team to come out. As the date approached I received a call to reschedule the repair date. I agreed and when the new date and time arrived the guy did not show up. So I called the office again who told me the guy was running late and would be at my home in an hour. If he was going to be late they should have called to let me know this. An hour and a half later he arrived and was apologetic but I could tell that he had forgotten about the appointment and would not have come to my house that day if I would not have called. The roof Benton Roofing installed looks good overall but we had issues along the way that made working with them very frustrating. Once the roof was installed and paid for it was very difficult for me to get them to follow through on making what amounted to being simple repairs (took two months). There was also a consistent lack of communication amongst their team members that caused me, the customer, to have to repeatedly follow up tp get them to honor their commitments. and it should not be that way.

Everyone at Benton Integrity was professional from day one. We have a large roof, so I got 3 estimates, and they were all close. Benton came well-recommended so we went with them, and I’m glad we did. Before we signed a contract, John sat down with us and pointed out everything we should know, and even checked the attics to assure there were no obstructions. They knew we were in a rush, and promised to try to get us in before the estimated start date. It turned out they got to us 2 weeks ahead of time. I can’t say enough about the crew who did the roofing. They were prompt, meticulous and efficient. They worked incredibly hard. They cleaned up debris throughout. When they encountered a concern, they took photos or showed it to me, as opposed to just telling me about it. After completion, the supervisor inspected the whole site to assure there were no loose ends. The roof is beautiful. The back office came through too, pushing hard to assure the dumpster was removed in time for an event we had planned. Customer service is obviously a priority for everyone there. I will definitely use Benton Integrity again.

Great They were especially careful with our driveway. We were concerned that it would crack. They used a smaller lighter truck on the driveway that worked fine. The crew was extremely polite and efficient.

I contracted Benton to replace my roof. My rep Kirk seemed nice and we managed to get through all the documents and down payment and scheduling with no issues. They called the week prior and said they would be out 7/3/2017 to complete the roof and it would take one day. The workers arrived promptly and as soon as we had all of our cars out of the way they began to work. It was loud but I was off for the holiday so I stayed home and completed a lot of food prep etc for a party we were attending the next day. The roof noise seemed to stop around 2:00 but we could hear them still outside. We had to run to the store a little closer to 3 and we came out of the house and no one was there. they had cleaned up their materials and there was a large trailer parked in the driveway. We have plenty of parking so I didn't think much of it or the fact that no one rang the doorbell or said anything or asked any questions before they left. The next day we were getting ready to start packing the car for the party and we realized the trailer was parked less than a foot away from the garage. There was no way for me to open the garage door. The door has a huge padlock on it and is not a rolling door so anyone looking at it would know you would need some room to open the door. My driver way is long and wide and can accommodate several vehicles so there was no need whatsoever to park the trailer this close. When I texted my rep to have them at least come pull the trailer away from the garage he said that it wasn't even Benton's trailer its the trailer of a subcontractor they use. Is that any sort of reply? I hired Benton, what they do from there is still their responsibility. We use third parties where I work and I am for sure responsible for whatever the company I have hired does. He then explained he was out of town and couldn't do anything and the man from the other company he was calling never answered. So finally, two hours late for the party, and with none of the $400 worth of supplies we had purchased months in advance (huge pool floats, an umbrella, a tailgate tent and a compressor) we went to the party. People where disappointed to say the least. And I now have all these things I couldn't use that day and I am unable to return because of the date they were purchased. When I mentioned all of this to my rep he said you knew there would be a trailer on property. I said yes, I just didn't know you all would park it against my garage. That part was never discussed. He never replied after that. I then contacted the company in writing via their web site to complain about the issue and see what could be done. No one ever replied to my email or called me. We are now over a week out from the work being performed and no one from Benton has even contacted me to resolve this and collect the final payment - which is also impeding my reduced home owners insurance rate - one of the main reasons I had the roof replaced. I can't express how disappointed I am. To try and resolve the problem they offered me $400 - and to give them all the huge pool floats etc and a receipt. So instead of trying to make up for my 4th of July they ruined they just want my pool floats. Awesome! After all of the owner of the company basically called me until I would speak with him and not only made things right but gave me dinner at the Chart House. I have changed my review to 5 stars.

We are very satisfied with the service we received. Kirk came out to give us an estimate for a new roof; he was very knowledgeable and provided the estimate in a timely manner. Christina in the office was in contact with us throughout the installation. Alton and his crew installed our new roof; they worked hard, and the new roof looks nice.

Went very well after a few delays because of the storms last week. In the beginning Kirk their salesman was extremely helpful, He even gave us addresses of homes so we could see the actual colors in person. Their entire crew was efficient and polite.. The foreman Jessie was extremely nice.

Called during the week of February 27 and scheduled appointment for march 6. Left work early on March 6 to be at estimate at 3pm, no one showed called and left message after 6 pm inquiring as to what happened and no one answered so I left message. Never received any call back. Called back and spoke to someone who said sorry I will make sure we call you back, never received a call. now it is March 14 and I contacted them this morning, they said we will call you back, still no estimate or call. IF THEY CANNOT EVEN GET AN ESTIMATE CORRECT WHAT DOES THAT SAY ABOUT THE JOB THEY DO. LOOK ELSEWHERE ALOT OF ROOFERS IN JAX THAT WANT WORK.

Late last year we noticed the roof was leaking near our fireplace.  I called the roofer and they came out to inspect the leak.  Later they told us it would cost $1500 to repair the roof.  I asked about our warranty and they said we didn't have a warranty because we didn't replace the flashing around the chimney.  I don't recall them telling me that when I received their estimate.  I was living in Kentucky at the time.  Now I'll have to use a different roofer to take care of the problem.

I thought they were named ?Integrity? correctly until they refused to honor their warranty. Their technician confirmed the roof was
installed incorrectly and said it would be repaired under warranty since it was under 4 years since the install date.  His assessment was that they did not install ?dead pan? material under the shingles at a flatter spot, and it leaks. (Three other companies agreed this was the problem.) This has caused major structural damage to our home as it has leaked undetected for that length of time.
Their support staff scheduled a repair date right away. But, they called the day before the work was to be completed and cancelled the repair due to a paperwork technicality (we did not sign a transfer of warranty, required since the home seller contracted the work on condition of the home sale to us), and due to the sealant along a valley applied by a different company which they say voids the warranty. This is a 50 year roof which would not have needed sealant if it was installed correctly!  I told them that I did not accept this conclusion and would seek remediation. Since they will not honor their warranty and their own technician acknowledged the error in installation, I will suppose my next step is to file an official complaint with the State of FL Dept of Business and Professional Regulation and to file a petition in court.
Response from Benton Integrity Roofing Systems

"We have never completed any work for [member name removed] as out customer was the previous owner of the property. In March of 2011 we were contracted by the owner of the property to replace the roof. In April the re-roof project was completed and inspected 3 times, twice by the county inspector and once by an independent inspector for the Homeowner's Insurance Discount. The roof passed all inspections confirming compliance with the current building code. When the [member name removed]purchased the home later that month, at the request of our customer both the Material and Workmanship Warranties associated with the re-roof were mailed to the new owners on April 27th, 2011. In addition, our information was given to their Real Estate Agent, Carol Zingone. The 1st time we were contacted by the Smiths was October of 2014, when [member name removed] called to report a leak. One of our Service Technicians inspected the leak, diagnosed the problem and determined the scope of work that needed to be done. However, he noticed that someone had literally slathered black tar over shingles and up a wall previously in an apparent attempt to make repairs. [member name removed] admitted on 10/31/2014 to "having 4 or 5 different roofers come out and get up on the roof. In addition, one of the roofing companies globbed stuff while it was actively raining around the area that was leaking." This was confirmed by a filed permit with the county by another contractor. It was explained to [member name removed] that she had nullified her warranty by neglecting to report the leak directly to us and by having other contractors work on her roof, which we have clearly stated in our warranty. [member name removed] then claimed to have never received the warranty document and that she had no idea which company had replaced the roof in 2011. Though we are sadden by her inability to find us, this is a matter of public record. Yet she contacted us for a repair and requesting we activate her "warranty." In her review, [member name removed] even lists the Cost of the Re-roof as the initial quote listed on the County Website and on the Warranty papers mailed to her. As a company, we are faithful to stand by our warranties. However, we cannot guarantee work done by other contractors, which is what [member name removed] has asked us to do. Due to the fact that the work completed in 2011 was done correctly as to code, as well as the fact that [member name removed] elected to have other contractors alter the work done by our company, as well as the amount of time before she contacted us, we are unable to repair damage exasperated by others for free. In an effort to assist the [member name removed] in this dilemma, we have offered a reasonably priced repair to fix the area of the roof that is leaking, and reactivate her warranty. As of the current date, the homeowner has declined."

"We understand that we can not serve everyone especially during rainy seasons when we are several weeks out from being able to schedule repairs. When any potential customer is considerate to let us know they are going with another company, we do ask what was the deciding factor in order to gain feedback to continue to improve on our service and the customer experience. Since [Member name removed] is a previous customer of ours, his reason for going with another company was doubly important to us. Whether it was due to the length of time before we could perform the repairs, or the cost of the estimated repairs, whatever the reason we try to gather the information and review for any improvements we can implement. We just ask for the reason and it is okay If the customer does not want to provide the information ."

Update - 1 year after initial work was done.  The roof is still intact and no problems with the materials or quality of work.  As mentioned previously, I managed to pick up some nails in the tires of my riding lawn mower.  Since my initial post, I've gotten 2 more nails in my lawn mower tires.  One is actually still in the tire as I haven't yet bothered to fix it.  Overall experience, even with the nails, I was very pleased with their work.

They were more expensive, but not by a whole lot. They had a sales person that came out to give me quote. They were wonderful and very, very professional. They have three different levels of quality that they can put in a roof, which was interesting to have those options.

They had previously roofed my home in 1998 and did an excellent job. In 2013 I had noticed some issues with the roofing shingles and I contacted them because of the shingle warranty I had. They were very helpful in providing all of the information I needed for my dealings with the manufacturer of the shingle. I was able to get a $6000 dollar credit for material and labor for getting my roof redone. Benton did do the job and as usual they did an outstanding job. Everything was done within 2 days, the employees where very professional. I would highly recommend Benton Roofing.
