From the beginning of the process it was one mistake after another. The first mistake was made when they charged me twice for the appraisal. The appraisal was performed by one of their subsidiaries, a small piece of wood was broken, (the size of which was smaller than a hand), so I was told that I had to have it repaired if I wanted to close, then I was charged an additional $110.00 to check to make sure the repair was done. Please keep in mind that the appraisal stated that it was purely COSMETIC. The loan package was suppose to be provided to my closing agent (thank God I did not use one of their closers) the morning of the closing May 21,2014, but the package was not sent, not even prepared by noon. I had to send an email to the Loan Officer Sam Un at 2:45 p.m. asking where the package was because Joanne, the closing coordinator would not return a call to the closing agent or answer her phone. Joanne was aware that I had an appointment to close at 3:00 p.m.. When she finally called back, she told the attorney's assistant that she did not have the package and that she tells people when to come. The package was not received until 3:45 p.m. on May 21,2014. The law firm had to stay late to close my loan because they had other closing to conduct. The final straw was that the funding for the loan did not come through during the normal business day (because this was re-fi there was a 3 day wait because of my right to rescind), the attorney's office spent an entire day speaking with individuals, supervisors etc. only to receive the run around. The wire was not sent until 4:00 p.m., with the two hour delay for a wire transfer the money was not available to me until Wednesday, May 28, 2014. I was contacted by Kevin Taracea, SVP,Vendor Performance Manager, Home Loans Fulfillment, where he apologized for the way my loan was handled. I was issued a $100.00 Target Gift Card and they refunded me the $110.00 for the additional fee for the appraisal. I was warned by other people not to deal with this Bank, but since I had a mortgage with them for over 20 years and never had a problem, I did not heed their advice. According the Kevin, the fact that this loan was not conducted in what I believe was a professional manner that I am not entitled to a refund/partial refund of the origination fee. I believe that in order to earn that fee, the closing should have been handled in a professional manner not what I received. I plan to refinance the loan with another lender and cut all ties with BOA.

I think they're great. I like their online facilities. When you put cash into the ATM it gets credited to your account right away. I also like that they put your picture on your ATM card. The cutstomer service is fantastic.
Description of Work: I go to them for my routine banking.
