This provider was one of five insulation companies I called to give me an estimate on blowing more insulation into the attic of my townhouse. Of those five, two including this one gave me an estimate over the phone without actually coming out to see my job site. However, they were on JEA's approved provider list and gave me the best quote so I set up a date to have the work done. They showed up about an hour later than they said they would but that was not a big problem. However, when they arrived the young man that came to the door was stunned that they could not back their trailer right up to the front door and their was no way to get their trailer around to the back entrance. The closest they could have gotten was about 30 feet from my front door. From there they needed enough hose to get up the stairs and make it too the scuttle hole in the attic and still be able to reach all corners of my approximately 660 square foot attic. Bottom line they did not have a long enough hose and the young man that came apparently did not feel that there was any way for him to rectify the problem (like buy more hose maybe and reschedule?). Instead, he just stood there and looked perplexed and I finally asked him if he wanted me to call someone else to do the work. His response was, "Well, I guess your gonna have to.". He shook my hand and left. Now it was my turn to be stunned. I never expected that a company on JEA's approved provider list would come unprepared to do the job and then leave saying give the business to someone else. After recovering from the shock I called the next best bid and had them assure me that they had plenty of hose. I then scheduled for them to come out two days later. They did and finished the job to my satisfaction in about an hour. Bottom line is the best quote is not always a good deal.
