Installers were very professional. They arrived on time and performed the work as promised. They responded quickly when I called to have some adjustments made.

All windows had to be made to specification and American Windows did a great job at a reasonable price. They disposed of the old windows and cleaned up the work areas. I was extremely pleased.

Replaced 17, 36 year old windows, with new double pane windows.  Work was done in a day and a half.  They were on time and very professional.

From initial contact to job completion, I was impressed with the level of professionalism, cooperativeness, and response of all company personnel I interacted with.  On the day of replacement and installation, the technical personnel arrived on time, accomplished the job in approximately 5 hours with a minimum of disruption, and thoroughly cleaned the work area of resulting debris. I am extremely pleased with the job accomplishment and highly recommend the company.

We really thought windows were windows until we met Mark, our salesperson.  Over the years, we have had a lot of salespeople come to our home to give us estimates on various services and products.  However, we have never met anyone as knowledgeable as Mark with regard to the product he is selling.  We knew we needed better windows and have had a problem for years with the large window in our bedroom that gets a lot of sun.  We had even had tinting done to this window in an effort to reduce the heat in our room coming through the window.  Mark demonstrated how that would no longer be a issue with the new windows.  He was absolutely right!  You can touch the windows in the heat of the afternoon, and they are cold.  We are amazed at the difference all over the house both in the look of the windows and with the quality.  The windows look great from the street too.  I love the new door.  Mark helped me pick out new "senior friendly" hardware for the door so that the handles are easy to use for someone with arthritis.  He was just great.  After asking us a bunch of questions, Mark knew exactly what we needed and were looking for in windows and the door.  There was only one small issue (more like misunderstanding), after installation, regarding the color of the front door.  It took one call to Keith, the owner, and he immediately rectified the situation.  I have never dealt with a more professional and caring group of people, including the owner.  It's one thing to sell a good product, but customer service rates high up there too and these people truly have it all.  We chose them through Angie's List.

American Windows ordered the replacements, just charged me cost, installed them and I am very satisfied with their service and how they handled my complaint re: the original windows.

Their product is wonderful.  Their salesman was very knowledgeable and he was able to answer questions related to their product.  They made an excellent job.  There were no problems whatsoever.  I will be using them when I redo my kitchen because I wanted to change my windows.

We had no issues with American Window Products. We were really pleased with them. We had been talking with them for a period of time. It took a year to close on our short sale. They were really great and measured all the windows. They came out and gave us an estimate and gave us a tentative date as to when the windows would be in. They actually came back sooner. They got everything done within a couple of days which was wonderful. 

The representative came in on time. He took the required measurements for the windows and left.  We talked over the phone and I indicated that I want to replace the existing casements with new casements.   I got an email from the rep within an hour of the conversation.  He was apologetic that the manufacturer he represents (Gorrell) does not carry Florida approved casements that will work for me.
All in all it was a very professional, pain-free experience.  I will contact them for any future needs. 

Everything went smoothly, installers were very professional, courteous and helpful.  They definitely were professionals at their jobs. We were pleasantly surprised at how painless the whole process was.  The installers, saleman and office people were great.

Excellent company.  Great product.  Excellent installation team.   I think that Gorell is rather expensive but worth the cost.  Company worked around my schedule.  Work done timely.  One picture window came with factory defect.  They ordered new one but replacement had defect as well so a third  and fourth were ordered.   Fourth one finally installed.  Took several weeks but no big deal.  Not American Windows' fault but qualify control issue with manufacturer.  Installer had to readjust one of cabana doors when he returned to reinstall the defective picture window.

My Florida room is now much more usable.  More control over tempature and outside noise.

Would definately recommend and use American Window Products again.

They were very, very good. We had 2 or 3 people to come out and give us estimates. After their demonstration, we thought they were the best and so far we have been very, very satisfied with the windows themselves. It was unbelievable how good their installers were. Our house is about 30 years old and they took the windows out without breaking anything. There was no mess. When they left, we wouldn't have known that anybody was here. We were totally, totally happy with them. The estimates were in close range of each other and their price was fine in comparison. They told us all the things they would do and we would have to have a hurricane to prove it. They put vinyl around them so we don't have to paint. They were able to put vinyl inside which matched our woodwork perfectly. They did all kinds of little things. We can lie them down to wash both sides. They are triple paned and they will sustain winds up to 150 miles per hour. They said that we could stand in the middle of our yard and hit a golf ball into the window. It would break the outside window but it wouldn't break the inside window. We were impressed. When he was here for the estimate, he actually got up and jumped on the sample; it didn't even make it shake. They did the work when they said they would do it. After the windows were made, they called within 2 or 3 days to set up the installation. They were very prompt. They didn’t fool around when they were here. They did the work in a day or 2. They were very professional. We would use them again and we would recommend them.

The gal that answered the phone was very abrupt and quickly told me that they do not replace broken windows and referred me to GENE'S GLASS and another company that I do not recall.

I got the very distinct impression that my job was too small (not enough money) for them to handle. I will not be calling this company for a quote when I am prepared financially to replace all of the old windows and exterior doors in my house.

I contacted this company on the recommendation of a neighbor who had replaced all the windows in her house. The salesman was friendly, professional and extremely knowledgeable during the estimate visit. He did not attempt to oversell. The installers arrived on time and did a great job in removing the old door and windows, installing the new ones, and answering all of my questions. Some follow-up caulking had to be done, and the service man was on time and efficient. I was very pleased with the service, and the product is excellent.

The sashes on several of the windows in my home failed as well as the integrity of the double-panes on a couple. The windows were from the original builder in 1988, the manufacturer had gone out of business and getting them repaired was difficult. I contacted American Window for an estimate based on ratings from Angies List. When their salesman, Roger, came by he informed me that due to my location, building codes required I get some form of hurricane protection either through shutters or hurricane impact windows if I had over a certain percentage of windows or glass replaced. He gave me an estimate that included new windows plus hurricane shutters since the impact windows were more expensive by several thousand. I got 2 more estimates one of whom told me they had a letter I could sign waiving the hurricane protection requirement. As that didn't sound right (or legal) I chose NOT to use them despite their being the lowest estimate and having heard good things about them through friends. American Window had the higher of the remaining 2 estimates and when I went back to them, they came in lower. After I placed the order for the Gorrell windows (they were very highly rated according to my research), I was contacted by the owner who asked if wanted to get the hurricane impact windows at no extra charge due to concerns with the shutter company they had recommended. I ordered the hurricane impact. The time between the order and installation was a bit longer than I had expected but was still acceptable. The installation went very well except for one window getting dropped when removed from the truck. A replacement was ordered and installed within a few weeks. The team installing the windows were professional and very easy to deal with.

Every old window was removed carefully and new ones installed and caulked with pride. They cleaned up and did everything professionally.
