About Floors N More

Project was planned for three day period but there was a one day delay in delivery of the wood so it extended out to four days.  Leveling of existing concrete floor and allowing for drying took two days which also factored into this time frame.  Workers moved all furniture out of rooms and replaced the furniture once project was complete.  Clean up of work materials was excellent.  Workers very courteous as well.  Very pleased with final product and look of floors.  Helpful in giving advice on how to maintain and clean the new flooring.

I had some laminate and tile work that needed to be done and was looking to get an estimate for the job.  After researching Angie's list to find someone to perform the work I chose "About Floors N' More" because of the stellar ratings they received.  The gentleman I spoke with on the phone wasn't rude but he wasn't pleasant either.  It was pretty clear from the start that he was not interested in the work.  I mentioned I needed floor tile installed and he responded that they didn't do tile work.  I also mentioned that I needed some transition strips from laminate-to-tile and laminate-to-carpet installed.  Again, he was not interested because this work was considered trivial.  When I mentioned that I also needed laminate for an entire an room installed he balked when he found out that I had purchased the laminate elsewhere.
Again, I was merely looking for a cost estimate for the work.  After reading the company's business description and comparing it with his responses I thought I had dialed a wrong number.  The description states that they do tile work.  He said they didn't.  It also states that they do repair work, which I feel was applicable to the transition strip work as it was a little more involved than simply slapping down new strips.  As far as installing laminate that was purchased from someone else he could have inquired if the brand was one that they sell and install rather than dismissing it out of hand.
All said and done I figured I had at least a full day of work to be done but felt like he blew me off because it was a waste of his time.  If they insist on only doing a job from start to finish and if, and only if, the materials are purchased from them, then they should clean up their description of services offered.

Richard and his crew were extremely easy to work with.  They took great care in my home.  They worked around our schedule and did an excellent job.  I love my new floors and will use About Floors and More when I need flooring in the future.

I have ALWAYS been pleased with the work his technicians do. He and his team are very thorough.

The tile selection was perfect and finish product is beautiful!  They also replaced carpet on some very difficult, open stairs and replaced with new carpet and also the master bedroom.  Everyone from the sales to the project manager and the installers are all interested in providing great customer service!

They special ordered all the products and they did a great job. He knew exactly what I was looking for and found it for me  and shipped it from California. There were 2 crew members that came to do the work.

Rick, the owner, was at our house several times to check on the progress of the job. He was very responsive and answered all my questions well. There were 3 crew members out to do the work and it took about 3 months to complete. The quality of work is outstanding and we get a lot of compliments on the work.  I thought the price was reasonable for the service that was done. They did tile on the lanai, there was a crack in one of the tile joints about 4-5 years later. They corrected the problem immediately and at no additional cost.

They did great work for us and they are great people to do business with. They do not give you any surprises as far as cost. I have nothing but good things to say about them.  The crew does quality work and pays attention to the details. The salesmen are very knowledgeable and I do not feel like I am oversold. I am happy with their service.

They were patient and close by.  They were also punctual. There were two crew members and it took about 3 days to complete. There was a supervisor that would check in on the progress of the job. I did have a problem with one of the boards that looked defective. They addressed the issue right away since they guarantee the floors.  I have recommended them to others.

The price seemed fair and they showed up on time for the appointment. Three crew members showed up and they were able to install everything in less than a day. I do not remember having any problems.

We bought flooring from them and did the installation ourselves. They were very helpful while we made our choices for the sub floor padding. We already had the flooring and the color picked out prior to entering the store. They ordered what we needed and gave us some tips on installation. The flooring arrived when it was supposed to and they helped load us up to go. They were all very friendly and provided great customer service.

The provider came out and gave us an estimate for the service initially.  But when we called him a second time he didn't call back promptly and when her did we had decided to use someone else.

I am very happy with the floor and the final cost.  The journey could have been better although I'm told that all renovations are like that.  I went in and met with Richard unsure if they would be able to do the floor as I'm 'off grade' and Lowe's and HD both declined.  Richard set up the evaluation and Bryant determined it could be done with a lot of extra prep.  Bryant suggested with my pets I consider vinyl and after looking on the web, that does seem to be the material of choice for not quite house broken pups.
Richard was also very patient and provided pros and cons while I decided (waffled) on what the new floor would be.  It took longer than usual to get my choice in but he warmed me about that and left it to me if that was still my choice.  It was.
The techs started on time but the prep took longer than initially expected because of the degree of uneven floors and the result was that there was competition for the techs time so there was some down time in the middle. There were some other issues like baseborad having to be  larger after going from carpet to vinyl -  and in all cases Richard/Don had the techs come resolve it. 
Bryant was right in that between my dog and cats, a new carpet would already have 3 new stains on it.  With the vinyl, wiped right up.  The wood grain planks look look pretty much like laminate,
I am giving top grades across the board because my floor looks great and everyone throughout the process said and acted on the attitude they would do whatever it took to make me happy with the floor.  If I were to ding anything it would be for the down time once we got past the expected days but felt that in the end Richard did everything to mitigate that so I can't complain!
Am hoping to have them come put the same thing in the rest of the house but that will be down the road!

I had been shopping around looking at tile for a backsplash in our newly remodeled kitchen, fully intending to do the work myself. After visits to several "big-box" home improvement stores and about five tile stores, I visited About Floors and More.  Rick, one of the owners, and Don, a salesman, helped me navigate through various choices in wall tiles, and I took several samples home. My wife and I chose two tiles we liked best, then had Rick come out and make measurements for us as well as to help us decide which tile to go with. At this point I decided to also let them do the installation work. Rick ordered the tile and scheduled installation for ten days out.. The installation went exactly as promised, and the job was done in less than half a day. We are very satisfied with both the installation work and the appearance of the backsplash.  Everyone from sales to installation was great to work with, and I would highly recommend this dealer.

One word...awesome!  I got the best of the best carpet...Mohawk's new smartstrand silk carpet in a "fleck" color called hazelnut.  This product does feel like silk under your feet and I love the "fleck" color because of my dog and because of the flexibility of decor options given the pleasant neutral tones of the carpet.  I installed over 800 sf in my bedrooms.  The customer service here was awesome and Rick Costner was excellent.  I had a very short timeline and Rick worked with me to ensure they hit the small installation window I gave them.  Additionally, this is my dream home and I had freshly painted the baseboards and had stone installed in the living areas so I was particular about the installation.  The installation guys were best in class...not a mark anywhere on my pristine baseboards!!!  They also  installed the carpet such that my transitions from the bedrooms to the hallways  (stone) was perfect.  This was part of a big renovation for me and it was such a pleasure to deal with a professional and competent company.  Really.....a great product and a great experience.  I will ALWAYS use these guys in the future.  Thanks Rick and Richard and thanks to your Installation Team.  Scott

They worked with us to meet our budget requirements and did a great job installing the carpet. They installed on schedule.

Things were done in a manner to make this whole project as easy for me as possible...I  have already reccommended them to my friends, and several have used them already...  They were not the most expensive, but the job they did was the best...I went to at least 7 different flooring companies, before I decided on About Floors N More... I'm so pleased and happy with everything they did....
