Ice Cold Air Discount Auto Repair

This my ICE COLD **** experience after I paid $5300.00 for auto repair service to Ice Cold Air. The extent of the previous work performed by Ice Cold Air not only left Mr. Cook at personal risk but the potential negligent damage to the vehicle. 1. The engine is dangerously out of tune not only presenting an impending fire hazard but also demonstrate a “run on scenario” as which point operator of the vehicle can not shut down the engine which is an extremely dangerous situation deeming the car undrivable. 2. The vehicle presents multiple miss-fires due to substandard repair practice potentially causing further damage to the internal components of the engine. 3. Multiple key fasteners in critical components were found loose and hazardous but multiple bolts to the transmission and engine assemblies are completely missing. 4. The poor practice used in assembly of Mr. Cook vehicle warrant a complete disassembly of engine and other affected systems, a full assessment of damage incurred and reassembly of the components utilizing proper repair practices and procedures. 5. Break lines - are exposed and attached to the shock springs putting Mr. Cook at risk of break-failure. 6. Exhaust - smokes as if during work previously performed valve stem seals were not replaced or an oil bypass of piston rings. 7. Old Y pipes - have been sealed with putty but still leak. 8. Carburetor and Fuel Pump - Severe gas leak and smell coming from unions to carburetor and fuel pump. 9. Air compressor - doesn’t function. 10. Spark plug wires - are burned and destroyed from engine exposure. 11. Horn blows - when you turn steering wheel. 12. Rear left break light - does NOT work. 13. Oil pan gasket - is sealed poorly with RTV. 14. Transmission gasket - is sealed with RTV and still leaking. 15. Headlights - wiring is faulty, unsecured and connected with Solid State Home wire nuts. 16. Engine - wiring harness is poorly run and not installed to factor specs. NOTE: Mr. Cook has been advised that his vehicle is a safety hazard to not only himself but any occupants inside the vehicle and a danger to other drivers on the public roadways.

The worst auto repair service experience in my life. Highway robbery. I would never use Ice Cold Air again. I'm still trying to get my money back.

They were really good to me. They gave me a quote before they even got started on it for like $250. They had to tear the whole dash completely out of my car and everything so it's weighed down in and under everything. They ended up having the car for 3 days and they still only charged me $140 even though they worked on it consistently for 3 days. I was really pleased with them. They did what they said they'd do and they did it in a timely manner. The price was good.

The AC charge held for 2-3 months and then AC stopped working. I took the truck back and they recharged the Freon at NC.

The service writer said that a part was leaking at the junction weld of two tubes. I could not see the cracked weld. I asked why they could not weld the connection. They told me that they do not weld aluminum. They replace the part. The AC worked ok for 4 weeks and the AC stopped working again.

The service was done on a scheduled appointment, requiring only 1 hour for completion.
