Hise Roofing

The work was done quickly and efficiently.  The roofers were always courteous and pleasant  yet very professional.  They cleaned up all debris at the end of each day and when roof was completed did an excellent job of total clean up!  A supervisor from Hise Roofing came often and asked if we were pleased with the work being done.  Once the roof was completed an owner came by, got on the roof and did a complete inspection.  He assured us that if we had any questions or concerns, to call and he would come out to take care of any problem.  We are very pleased with the look and of course everyone associated with Hise Roofing!  This same company installed a new roof on our parents home in Spring Hill, Fl with the same satisfactory results.   We would recommend them without hesitation.

We had them come out and give us an estimate.  I appreciated the time Mr. Hise took explaining things and answering questions, and was not pushy at all. They were our 3rd estimate and I decided to contract with them to do the roof. The original start date was to be 6 weeks later, but they called and rescheduled as they were able to start it 4 weeks later. It took just a couple days and they kept the area clean and were all well mannered.

The Hise team was punctual and pleasant. The quality of the shingle was high with various shades of individual shingles that seems to us to provide a more interesting and appealing view from the street. The team appeared very careful with the adherence of the shingles and spacing of the nails to maximize roof protection and to prevent damage from storms. The clean-up was good. We are quite pleased with their work and the product.

Too bad this happened. It would have been a fast job, fast money.

Contacted Hise one month ago and explained my need for sofit, facia, downspout and roof work. He was going to go to the home and look at it and quote a price. He even knew exactly where it was located due to another job very close.
Also explained that I really wanted work done prior to June.
Called almost weeks ago for update, no one answered. I left message, then called second number, no one answered, and again left message with my contact info.
Went on vacation out of country for 2 weeks, but never receive any emails regarding my needs. 
Returned from vacation and called again, (both numbers) no answer, again left message.
Today I decided that if no one answered I would try another company. He answered, again he was very busy. He "thought" that he had seen and quoted the job,but was not sure. He was headed back to the office and would then call with the quote.
He actually did call, but said he could not find the quote. He would go back to the house and quote again. He then said that if all I needed was repairs that it would be months and months before he could get to me..................
I said good bye..........I picked this company because of my Angie's list membership and all I got was a month behind.

I purchased the house in Oct of 2013 from a Disabled Veteran who had lived here for years. The roof was put on in 2004 by AAA roofing and the flashing around the chimney leaked until one truss and two sheets of plywood underneath had to be replaced because of rot. I called several roofing companies but was not satisfied with the professionalism of the people sent out to give me an estimate. I called HIse Roofing, Father and son came out to look at the roof, were very professional and courteous, they also gave me an estimate within my budget. They set a date and made all repairs in one day, they cleaned up every piece of material and left the area clean. I would use Hise Roofing again when I need any roofing repairs. They are a very busy company so expect to make an appointment in advance.

I will never know as I do not want such a immature company to provide a service for my home.

Steve was very professional, on time, and even called to say he was on his way. The job was so minor he didn't even charge me. Instead we shaked and I agreed to use him when I need a roof.

A#1 job fair price and exceeded expectations.

Hise Roofing did a wonderful job! They worked for 3 1/2 solid days from dawn til dusk finishing our new roof. The shingles look great, as well as the roof vents. Hise replaced any wood needing to be replaced for no extra cost, which was a nice relief as a home owner to know that the project quote was the price I would pay in the end.
Not only were their employees hard working, they were also polite and very thorough. I would recommend them to family or friends for sure.

We selected Hise (one of two quotes for same price) because they were available to do the job soonest, and Steve Hise was the only quoter who said they would put a tarp over the leaky area until they could do the actual repair.  The tarp worked.   Although the repair work was not done quite as soon as had been estimated; that was due to the number of rainy days that occured.  The crew was very concientious, completing the work quickly and neatly.  And no leaks in the downpours we have had since then!

They worked efficiently and completed the job in 3 days with weather issues.  The clean-up was excellent, my husband has a tool that picks up nails in the yard, he only found a few. Everyone  involved was great.

We called four different companies to tell us why the skylight was leaking and how much it would cost to repair it.  Two of the companies said it couldn't be repaired and wanted to charge from $695 to $1500 to replace it.  The other two companies said it could be repaired and the estimates were for $100 (Hise Roofing) and $600.  Obviously, we went with Hise Roofing.  Steve, from Hise, was the only contractor who spent a lot of time on the roof examining the skylight.  He thoroughly explained why it was leaking and said that it didn't need replaced.  He spent about an hour repairing it and gave us a one year warranty.  Steve was completely professional and didn't try to take advantage of us.  I highly recommend Hise Roofing to anyone who wants an honest estimate and who wants to be treated fairly.

The owner of Hise Roofing came out to the house to assess the problems with our 10 year old roof and to give us a second opinion.  We were so pleased to find out that we did not have to replace at least a quarter of our roof that we told by the first roofing company that came out.  Not to mention the fact that it would have been almost impossible to match up the existing shingles.
We were told that the original work done on the roof was not good quality, but that it would still last another 8 years or so. The only thing that was needed was to fix a small leak that was caused by one nail that had backed out and to re-set the air vents on the roof that had been installed improperly so that they would not leak in the future.
I am so glad that I went to Angie's List to review the list of Roofers.  I was pleased to see current license and insurance information for Hise Roofing.  Current license and insurance information was not shown for Curry Roofing.
Mr. Hise saved us over $3000.00 (according to the first estimate) and most importantly,he gave us peace of mind.  
In eight years when we need to have our roof replaced, we will most definitely go to Hise Roofing. 

Overall, it was good.  They showed up when they said they would and they did the work in a timely manner.  They were a couple of issues but they resolved them quickly, and there were no questions asked, so overall, it was positive.  They seemed to do what they were supposed to do and the end result was positive.

We had a scheduled appointment to get an estimate for a roofing job, but they were a no show.  We didn't even get a call they couldn't make it.

We got at least 4 estimates on our re-roof of our 1996 manufactured home, including Don Poss, Boulerice and Curry's (possibly AAA too, can't remember).   While Hise's figure wasn't the least expensive, we picked them due to the Angie's List reviews and the professionalism of the presentation of the estimate.   They were the only contractor who brought out a packet to include references and a sample book of the types and colors of the shingles for us to choose from.   When we made our final decision to hire them, we were told it would be about 7 weeks before they could get to us, but we were willing to wait.  We had a couple of roof leaks, but my husband 'tarped' them and everything was fine.  It turned out to be 8 weeks (there was a lot of rain during that time, which, no doubt slowed down their schedule), but when they showed up, the work was completed in two days.  As another Angie's list member has mentioned, they left nothing on the ground around our house to even indicate that any work was done.  They did a complete and thorough clean-up, not even a nail was left behind.  The  roof looks beautiful.   The only thing I wish was that they would have given us a couple of days notice when they were ready to start work.   They called late one afternoon and said they would be here the next morning.  We had forgotten to pick out our shingle color!  Can't really call that a complaint!
I wouldn't recommend anyone but Hise for roofing!

They arrived when they said they were going and were finished that day.  When they left you couldn't tell anyone was ever there it was so clean.

It took 2 days to complete the job, with a 5 man crew they worked from dawn till after dark each day.They were very professional cleaning up after themselves each day

Very knowledgeable, very honest, very courteous. Fixed same day as estimate. Bid was$350 lower than original company who put on the roof  for the contractor who built the house. Would recommend to everyone. Very satisfied.

I  got estimates from AAA, Curry, Stevens and Hise for a complete reroof after damage to a flat roof on screen porch caused interior damage.The bids all ranged within $700. of the others in the $8000 range for a 3000 sq ft  gable roof and 425 sq ft  flat deck. All bids were for 30 yr GAF Timberline HD shingles, Synthetic underlayment, 80 ft of Ridge vent, All new 2" eve drip, Valley fllashing, vent stack boots. The flat deck was 75# underlayment and torchdown.       Having been in the trades in the past, I priced all materials needed at around $4000 and ONLY HISE ROOFING gave me an honest answer as to how he arrived at his bid. One contractor seemed uninterested if I had him do the job, One gave me a BS story as to the cost of the materials and how much I needed, One told me I would get a 50 yr warranty on my 30 yr shingles backed by Good Housekeeping and when that didn't work he told me he only used " blond haired, blue eyed boys that only spoke good english and didn't have their pants hanging off their a**."       While waiting for HISE to get permits for my job, I had some issues with the flat deck and he came over that afternoon I called and tarped the back half of my roof to stop any damage.       The HISE crew did my roof from start to finish in two days, and with me on the roof a good portion of the time, I can say they worked well together, were very committed to doing a good job and was very professional and courtious.I observed that they did way more than code required, rehung my gutters better than when they arrived, useded more Mulehide sealant that I would have used and nailed things off better than I would have if I would have done the job myself. They even painted the plumbing boots to match the color of the shingles, and I have looked at 5 other recent reroofs in the neighborhood and none of them paid attention to the details like these guys did.        They cleaned up after themselves leaving the area as clean as when they arrived.I very rarely make recommendation as we all have different expectations, but as someone who used to build custom homes for a living, I will highly recommend HISE ROOFING to anyone.

Work went very well.  It took about four days from start to finish with three roofers. Do hire them, Don't hire anyone else.....

Thursday 10/20/11, shingles delivered. Friday,  a crew of 5 started and finished putting on the roof, putting new skylights, roof vent. Fast, professional, good cleanup, used requested materials. All done in a day.

He was very nice and advised me not replace the fascia board until I had the roofing replaced. They came immediately.
