They install a new drain field. Only a week after, the septic tank was backing up again. They kept saying that they would come back to check but never did. I was able to stop the payment on my 2nd cheque. I was then threatened and insulted by the owner, Andy. Stay away for them!

They performed the service without a permit and did not fix the problem. Subsequently charged additional money to offer a one year warranty but for an entire year there was Intermittent leakage of sewage. They are incredibly unresponsive to phone calls and when given an ultimatum, they responded with threats. Just look at their other google reviews. It is absolutely not worth it to go with this company. Save your property and money and go somewhere else.

I attempted to get an estimate for drain repair and at first Andy (the owner) was very nice. He was saying the right things on our calls but never came through with his commitments. Attempted to get them to come out to give look at the job and assess exactly what needed to be done and provide an estimate, and if the estimate was reasonable I would just have them do the work while they were out there. He said he would have someone out within 2 hours, however they never showed and after calling I found out hey had another more important job they had to take care of. OK, I understand, so we rescheduled for the next day. This was a rental home and I had to meet him there with the tenant. He said they would be there at 11am. I waited for 4 hours and no call. I called him and he said he had another more important issue and just apparently never decided to call me and tell me. He said he would try to get them there by the end of the day and he decided he would come as well to assess the job. He called me at the end of the day and said he crew went under my house and completely assessed the work needed to get done to fix the issues. He quoted me $1500 and I told him to do it. He said he would have someone there first thing in the morning to do the work so it would be done by end of the day. Of course, they didn't show or call me and at noon I call him and he says they are picking up materials are on their way not and will be there shortly. 2 and 1/2 hours later they show up for 30 mins and leave telling the tenant they can't do the work and not sure if they would be back at all that day. I call Andy who tells me they mis-assessed the job and they no longer understand how the plumbing is routing and we are starting from scratch. I again let him know that these are tenants and he needs to communicate with me and tell me if the guys are going to leave the job and not return, not an unreasonable request. He then completely lost it yelling at me, telling me he isn't going to call me every 10 mins and that was ridiculous ranting without even giving me a chance to respond. Telling me I call him every 10 mins for an update, which I finally interrupted him to ask, when is the last time I called you? He responded he doesn't remember (that is because this was the first time today). He said if I want updates I should be at the property and wait the entire time, which I reminded him I was waiting for him for 4 hours and he didn't show. So, needless to say, I told him forget doing this job, I wouldn't use him or his company and now I have to start all over in this process. After telling the tenants, they also informed me that Andy was yelling at them at the job site, which is totally unacceptable. Andy is 84 years old and its time that he gives up this business before he runs it into the ground.

I contacted Brian to assess the septic tank for a home I am about to purchase. We set an appointment time and he did not show up. When I sent him a text, he responded saying he had sent me a message about his truck being disabled and would reschedule for the following morning. Even though I never received such a message, I went ahead and rescheduled for the next day. That appointment time came and went, and he was again a no show. I left him a voicemail and sent him a text message and I have yet to hear from him. Save your time and energy and choose another Septic company.

I checked out a number of sites including Yelp, Home Advisor, and Angie's List to find a company that would install new drain field after forty years on my old one. Never had been impressed with companies that have come out to pump my septic tank. Always thought them over priced. I asked a number of companies on the sites above for a quote and what I would need to do with my fence and large sprinkler line which was in the way . Brian had solution for both and even avoided pulling up an area of my asphalt driveway. I decided on Brain also because he impressed me as a hard working professional. His quote was very good compared to the other companies. Couldn't be happier with his work. Even pumped out my septic tank that wasn't part of his quote for free. I highly recommend Brian's Septic Medic!

They did a spectacular job. I would give them an A+ on service, on calling me back, they were here the next day. They were as good as it gets. I called them on Christmas day and they were here the next morning. Really, it's the second time they've been here around the holidays. I called them, they called me back at 9:00 at night. These people did a great job. It was a very fair price. I couldn't say anything better about anybody. It was about 1/3 of the price of some of the other places that I called. They were spectacular.

I really can't say enough about how fast and professional Brian and his assistants are. Needed a new drain field (after 30 years for the old one). Brian was here within an hour of me calling and did a great job at what I would say was a very reasonable price. He even redirected the new field away from trees and roots. Really I'm quite pleased.

From the start - this job was a bit strange. After running a washing machine and dishwasher at the same time, we noticed water overflowing from a clean-out point leading to the septic system. We also had a leak in a pipe behind the kitchen cabinets and called a plumber out to fix it  - as the pipe that was leaking was in the wall. After he made that repair, we had him look at the septic tank. He dug down to the lid and slightly slid it open  (about 2 inches). The tank was full to the top. He quoted over $1,300 to clean it out. Since I've had the tank pumped before (about 5 years ago) by a septic tank service, I decided not to have the plumber do the work  - as it was about $1000 more than most septic tank service companies. I searched Angie's list and found that Septic Medics had good reviews. I decided to give them a call. I spoke to a very knowledgeable gentleman who said their truck was currently having service done but should be ready by the next day, and he would have his grandson(?) Brian, give me a call. The next day, I received a text from a number with a South Carolina area code - no identification as to who it was from - just saying.. "the truck is still in service can't make it today."  ??? It took me a minute or two until I realized this must be Brian - with a South Carolina area code? After about a week - he finally texted again, that the truck was ready and he could come out and take care of the issue. Since the lid had been exposed (from the plumber) and was still open a couple of inches, I was relieved that he was finally coming out - although I was not home at the time - he said it wasn't a problem - he would take care of it and leave a bill. When I got home that evening, I saw that he had definitely been there... First - I saw that he drove the truck around our circular driveway - leaving deep ruts (where the back wheels couldn't make the curve) in the lawn and pulverizing the sprinkler system. However, that was something I took in stride, as it wasn't a major problem - just replacing some cracked pipes and sprinklers - which I suppose happens when you're doing this kind of work. A pain - but no big deal. I checked the tank - and it was covered up and looked okay. I was very relieved to have it finally pumped and closed back up! He texted me and said the bill was left on the front door. I mailed a check a day later. ...

This was in October of 2015. About a month ago, (January), I noticed that the area above the tank was muddy and wet. We had had about a week's worth of rain - and since, where the tank sits is a low spot in the yard, I crossed my fingers and hoped that it was just the remnants of the rain we had had. A week later, It was still wet... In the last month or so, it has turned into a small pond! Luckily, there isn't much odor, but it is nasty. I feared that the drain field had failed, since it was just cleaned out 3 months ago. Today, I decided to dig around the tank to see if there were any visible broken lines. I started to dig through the standing water and muck on top of the tank and pulled up the edge of something - vinyl and yellow... As I kept digging and removing some of the standing water, it became obvious that this yellow vinyl was an old raincoat. Now I was very confused. That was definitely NOT there when the plumber was out and dug..I used the shovel to fold back the raincoat and probed the lid of the tank to see what was going on.Since there's still about a couple of inches of nasty black water on top - I couldn't visibly see the lid. As I started from one end, I tapped the top of the lid with the shovel, tapping every couple of inches or so, moving along the length of the tank, about a foot along the tank there was nothing to tap... then tank again. I went back to where there was nothing.. and found that the whole lid of the tank was cracked in half. Brian had shattered the lid of the tank, then put back the pieces and covered the missing lid area with an old raincoat before covering it back up with dirt! He needed to put the raincoat over it so there would be something to pile the dirt back up on and conceal the broken lid! The weight of the rain and mud has now caused the raincoat to sag into the tank along with the dirt that was on top of it.

This company has great reviews on Angie's List.  I'm sure that at one time Septic Medic was a fair and decent company - but in my case, I can only go by the evidence I've found. I'm not sure how a raincoat could have gotten under 8 inches of dirt and spread out flat on top of the tank's cracked lid unless someone put it there. The only company that last worked on the tank was Septic Medics. Anyone that would do what they did, and then try and cover it up WITH A RAINCOAT should lose their license! This is raw sewage we're talking about. It is a health hazard and should not be messed around with. Not to mention, I have a child that plays in the yard. If she had stepped in the spot where only the raincoat was covering the tank - she surely would have fallen into that mess! Not only am I out $250 - but I now need to get someone in that may or may not be able to replace a 45 year old tank lid! My guess is the whole tank will now need replacing! Definitely not pleased!

"This complaint really has me confused, after 3 paragraphs of complaining, it seems to me that a customer that was this upset and totally dissatisfied with the service he received from my employee, he would have called and expressed his concerns with someone of authority, which he never has of yet. This is the way I leaned of his issue. In fact when got there and his tank was overflowing , we explain indicates that he has further issues with the drain field but he did not want us to do anything but pump the septic tank. After we completed pumping the tank, we covered the tank exactly how we found it, the customers total charge was only $250, which is our minimum charge for septic tank pumping. I don't understand why I was never contacted and he wrote this derogatory issue almos 5 months after the service call"

Guy named Brian did the work in less than 1/2 hour and refused a check from my wife.  Once he left, Brian started sending flirtatious texts to my wife and tried to get her to meet him.  My wife reminded him that she is married and the texts stopped...for that day.  A couple of days later he contacted my wife again via text and continued to try to engage her.

This Brian is a snake, and I have no doubt this is not the first time or the last time he tries to seduce someone else's wife.

"My name is Andy Tolomeo, the president of Septic Medic. I am talking to Brian, my grandson, concerning this issue, he claims you are out of line with your unsupported slanderous statements. I have complete confidence in Brian's integrity. I don't know why are saying these things, if you have proof, lets see it, if you don't we will seek legal options on how to pursue you.."

Arrived within two hours of phone call.  Brian and his assistant were very courteous and professional. Went right to work and was finished in 30 minutes. Explained everything clearly that was done and future suggestions on maintaining a active septic tank. Highly recommend this company and would refer my friends to them.

We asked specifically if we could be the first pump out after the truck had been emptied to better protect our paver driveway from the potentially damaging weight of a full, multi-thousand pound truck. The company obliged. The work was done quickly and accurately.

The entire job was done in a hurry and was rushed.  The equiptment was not working properly and a large oil stain was left behind on the driveway. (I'm hoping it was just oil)  Near the end of the proceedure the operator asked for the check.  When I went inside to write the check the operator closed up the access hole and said he was done. I was unable to watch the last part and this is when he explained that hosing down the inside of the tank was unecessary as there were "no solids".
Response from Septic Medic INC.

"This customer is located 14 miles west of our company. We always call our customer ahead to inform them that our truck is on its way and to be sure they are present, no one said anything to us about a storm tacking place. My employees are not enthused to drag hoses and pump tanks in stormy conditions, however they are dedicated to try to serve the customers needs. I commend my employee for completing this task under the circumstances. I really am confused with the customers ratings of Bs,Cs and Ds"

I called Septic Medic to have my septic tank pumped out.  The appointment was for Thursday, July 17th, between 10:00 a.m. and noon.  The technician arrived at 11:00 a.m. in the pouring rain.  He found the location of my septic tank (after the rain slowed down) and proceeded to ready the tank for pumping.  The work was completed in 45 minutes.  I have used this company before and highly recommend it.

The truck was reasonably on time. The tech doing the work was friendly and very patient considering I was about six feet off on the location of the hatch cover. Once found her did the job quickly and painlessly and I paid $100 less than it cost me to do the job 3 years ago when I had last had it pumped. A keeper!
