They weren't able to resolve the issue, but they were able to diagnose the problem and charged us only for the video recording.

They determined that the problem was with the dishwasher, and that the main drain was OK.

I called Plumber Mike's to get my water heater replaced. They asked me a few questions to determine if I really needed a new water heater. After I explained the condition of the water heater (leaking water and oil) they determined to replace the old unit with a new one. They asked me for dimensions of the existing heater. I told Stephanie that it was just under 4 feet. She asked me if I could see the top of the heater and I said yes. So she said that they would squeeze me in for that same day (Saturday) at 3pm. I got a call after 2pm to let me know that they were running late and the installers arrived at 4pm. When they arrived and took a look at the heater, they realized that the size they brought was not the right size. So they were really nice about it and told me that they will go ahead and buy another one with the right size (the closet couldn't accommodate the one they had on hand).
A few minutes later they arrived with the right sized water heater and they went straight to work. They worked quickly and cleaned after themselves. They tested the unit to make sure that it was working properly. I was satisfied with the work performed. And they honored the discount they told me they were going to give me even after the mix up with the sizes.
I would use them again.

I was disappointed after seeing the positive reviews for Plumber Mike's on Angie's List to find the company so unresponsive. It took two calls to reach their office and the person who answered the phone said he couldn't schedule an appointment at that time but they would call back to make the appointment. No follow up call came, and I got no answer calling them back. I went to another highly rated plumber on Angie's List and got immediate and very positive results.

This is a review of two trips to my home.  I called and spoke to Claudette and gave her the list of things I needed done.  She has a wonderful personality and just the right person to be the first introduction to your company.  During our conversation  I mentioned that I live in a high rise condo. Claudette was on top of it asking for a contact so that she could get in touch with them and provide the required paperwork so there would be no holdups on the day the plumber arrived.  Claudette also informed me of a 10% off coupon.  So far so good!  We scheduled the appointment for three days later.  Kevin was kind enough to call me approximately 1 hour before the appointed time to let me know he was on his way.   Upon his arrival before stepping in my home he put on shoe coverings which wasn't necessary, but thoughtful.  I showed him everything I needed done.  Kevin was knowledgable, polite, and took the time to show me what he needed to do to complete the job.    Kevin was here most of the day and he was a pleasure to have in my home.  Kevin completed all the jobs except the tub/shower.  He explained he needed to go to the supply store to find the correct parts.    I also had Kevin look at the master toilet, the tank never seemed to fill and the water wouldn't shut off.   It is an older Briggs model and the parts are not readily available.    While he was here I ordered the insides for the toilet and told Kevin that since he needed to go searching for the parts for my tub/shower we could wait and finish those items at the same time.  The online supplier  called me  the next day to let me know the toilet parts are on backorder and won't be in till March.  I didn't want to wait that long to use the master shower so I called Claudette a day or two later and explained what happened and whenever Kevin was able to find the parts I would like to have him come back out.  No rush!   This was on a Friday afternoon and she explained she would check with Kevin to see if he had found the parts and get back to me.  Claudette called me Monday and indicated Kevin had not been able to find the parts yet but she would get back in touch as soon as he found them.  We spoke on Wednesday and booked the appointment for the following friday.  This was quick because I anticipated approximately one to two weeks delivery  on the other parts.   Just to be clear, I was not in a rush.   Kevin arrived today and completed the tub/bath shower.   I will be using Plumber Mike''s again in March.  Thank you for your great service!

BACKGROUND: My upstairs toilet backed up into my downstairs tub, shower and bidet & left standing water & sewage. Being new to South Florida, I did not know about the cleanout valve outside the house. I called another Plumbing Co #1 (before checking Angie's list) for an emergency Sunday evening service call. I was charged $389 to pull the toilet, snake the line, find the clean out valve which was hidden underneath some landscaping rocks (note to self: ALWAYS know where your clean out valve is located!)  The snake pulled out a few slim roots approx 12" in length & the plumber sent the snake back down to scrape the inside of the pipes. Backup was fixed, and Plumbing Company #1 came out the next day to put a camera down the pipe which located a crack in the cleanout valve pipe at/just before the City Connection. I was advised to call the City to see if they would fix it since it was near their connection. I was not charged for their normal camera fee of approx $175 after some back and forth discusion. Their quote was "at least $2K" to dig up the broken pipe which was 3' underground and replace it. I called the City who also did a camera inspection and said it was definitely my line and I would need to take care of it. This is when I decided to get a couple of quotes for the work and contacted Mike's Plumbing and Plumbing Company #2.
QUOTES: Plumbing Co #2 came out and quoted me $4600 to dig up and fix the pipe.  When i said i would have to speak to my husband who was out of the country, he lowered it to $4200 - then lowered it again to $3800 if i would make an on-the-spot decision to have the work performed the next day, which was recommended because it was urgent.  I told him that I would not be making such a fast decision on such costly work and would take a few days to review my options and speak to my husband.  He warned me not to do any laundry, and not to run the dishwasher at night, and that a flower bed with 2 small (new) palms were the culprit and should be removed.   He left me with the quote for $4200.00.
Mike's Plumbing was called on Tuesday late afternoon to provide a quote. I was told Mike was at the dentist and would call back, which he did on Wednesday morning about 8:55am.  We scheduled a site visit for that afternoon.  I called at 11:40am and said I had to go out for an errand and wanted to check on their arrival time and was told they would be at my house more toward 4pm.  At 4:44pm I called them again, and somehow my appt. had been forgotten with the busy day they had.  Mike said he was dropping everything and heading to my house right then, which he did.
MIKE'S PLUMBING QUOTE:  Mike listened to my story of what had happened, and what had been done to repair, and diagonose.  He looked at everything and told me that since only one back up had occurred in the 2.5 years that I owned this house it was not as severe a problem as the other plumbing co's had led me to believe. He also said Plumbing Co #2 sounded like they worked on commission.  He said that of course i could do laundry and run my dishwasher at night since my pipes were scraped and dishwasher & laundry were mostly just water.  He also said my types of small palms are soft root and would not damage the pipes, and they had not been in the ground long enough to cause any damage even if they could - most likely the roots were from my neighbor's ficus.  He recommended to wait to see if it ever happened again, and if it did, for me to open the clean out valve if i heard bubbles come up from the toilet - then to call him and we would create a plan to fix it.  If the fix involved digging up the pipe it would be $1700 to $2000.   I was not charged for the home visit to get this info.
Although I still have to watch the plumbing/drains, and eventually the pipe may need to be dug up, I recognize that Mike's recommendation talked himself out of a $2K job, which gives his statements a little more credence in my mind.  I appreciated that he calmed my fears of imminent sewage overflow and disaster and put the problem into a sensible perspective with a plan of what to do if it happens again.  Regarding the missed appt., these things happen (I'm sitting here on Thursday waiting for a Tree Vendor who was supposed to finish their work this past Monday, then Tuesday, then is already an hour late for this morning's scheduled start time.) I do appreciate that Mike immediately rectified the missed appointment by heading straight to my house as soon as I called.

The representative (Kevin) was very professional and courteous.  He took the time to explain everything that he did so I would understand what he was doing and that in the future I may be able to do some of the troubleshooting myself.  Price was very reasonable, especially since he came on a Saturday.

The team was delayed a day due to a flat tire on their truck. But they did arrive early the following morning.

Joe, the team leader (there were a total of 4 people) was personable, friendly, very professional, and is also a good mentor and teacher. He took extra care to be certain they all had an assignment and to explain what he was doing with the water tank installation. I found it impressive and refreshing that a company was willing to invest in training and teaching their employees.

He did a good job of trying to put everything back in place and clean up. The installation was perfect very neat and professional looking. The garage area where the installation was done was clean and orderly.

My only problem was that I always keep my hose on the side of the house hung and neat so I can always access it with ease however the following day I discovered the hose, which they used, was so tangled and knotted that it took me 15 minutes to untangle it and broke a coupling in the process.

However, overall I would give Joe an EXCELLENT rating.the installation was professional and well done. I have used Plumber Mikes in the past and will use them again but next time I would request that they send JOE because I was much happier with this visit than I was with the prior time I used them

One other remark is about the contact with the main office. Claudette at the office was also very friendly, professional and helpful.

It was very easy to schedule an appointment, and everyone that I spoke with was very pleasant.  I received a call prior to the scheduled appointment time to let me know that the plumber was running 30 minutes late, which was great to know.  However, the plumber didn't show up for an hour and fifteen minutes.  When the plumber finally arrived, he was efficient and professional.  Based on the price, I might not use this company again except in a pinch as I have had more affordable companies out that have done just as good a job.

I called Plumber Mike Saturday night due to what I thought was a partial sewer line clog. The line wasn't totally blocked, so I requested they come in the morning instead of at night. They came promptly on Sunday morning, located the cleanout in the yard (which was covered), identified that there was a clog between the sewer line and the street, and power snaked from the cleanout to remove it. Pasco and the other gentleman who came with him were courteous, professional, and efficient, and completed the task quickly. They gave me a significant discount (unasked for) because they were able to complete the task quickly.
Bottom line: if I have a plumbing issue in the future, I'm calling Plumber Mike.

When he first came out, he said it was going to be pretty expensive to fix. It took him about a week and a half to find the parts. When he found them, he didn't have to take down the wall and was able to bring down the price. He was very knowledgeable and professional.

Plumber Mike was great from start to finish. His estimate, after explaining thoroughly what needed to be done and where, was quite reasonable for the work involved. We discussed a likely start date, payment terms, the floor drain (which was not part of a typical installation), and signed a written agreement withe the agreed-upon fee. The work started on time and was efficiently done. The crew made efforts to avoid digging too close to the roots of a moderately large tree. There wasn't much they could do to keep from making a mess on the porch, but I know it could have been worse. Mike himself stopped by several times to see how the job was going and to revise the floor drain plan to resolve an unforeseen problem, and I was very grateful for his concern. The office staff were very knowledgeable, courteous, and helpful. After the final inspection, Mike again came by to see if everything had been done satisfactorily. I received excellent service from start to finish.

Pasco arrived within 45 minutes of my call for help to "Plumber Mikes" receptionist Tiffany, who was professional & courteous on the phone.  I had two bathrooms where the toilets were backing up sewage into the two connected showers.  After an initial evaluation, Pasco diagnosed the problem almost immediately as a Main Line Stoppage, & explained to me that he would be removing the bedroom bathroom toilet bowl, where the backup into the shower was the most significant. Pasco showed me that the water was not draining, after he removed the toilet bowl.  Pasco worked for 1 hour & 45 minutes fixing the stoppage, as well as cleaning up the sewage that had leaked around the toilet.  Both bathroom toilets & showers drained perfectly after that.   Pasco was very efficient & professional.  I was very satisfied with Pasco's services, & highly recommend "Plumber Mikes".

Called 4 plumbers in the A List of Electrician page. Got hold of 2 that I could make an appointment. Later Claudette called me and said that they could send their guys within the hour. I grabbed the chance since the leak was continuous and my water bill was high (we didn't know about the outside leak until our water meter was read). Lonnie and John came as promised, and gave me an estimate. Before they started some earth digging, he explained the process involved to get to the problem site. We didn't count on this problem so I agreed to get the work done, the sooner the leak gets fixed the better. So they fixed the pipe that was broken (small hole, big trouble) and final price was on the lower end of the estimate. They arrived around 4:20 and by 5PM they were done. This was the quickest problem I solved using Angie's List. Thank you Plumber Mike's. They even honored the 10% discount for finding them on angie's lIst. Now I have plumber for life. I truly will recommend this company. BTW, Lonnie and John were a great team, have to mention that.
