Capital Air Conditioning

Very professional from top to bottom received quote and setup appointment for installation. Crew was on time and clean. Quote was exactly the final cost.

Arrived on time and after checking the A/C. informed the person on site that they only need to change the filter. However, they recommended to change the full unit since it is very old and it may cause damage to the unit below mine.

Have an older Trane Central A/C unit. Decided to check the Trane Mfg website for recommended/authorized Trane Dealers in area. Capital was one of two and the one closest. Loved the family owned and operated feature of Capital. Called and got an excellent response and a prompt service call on time and as scheduled Service Tech knew exactly what he was doing and looking for. His experience showed and he really knew his stuff. No hype, no up sells, no sales pitch. Instead he fixed the unit, educated me on proper maintenance and in effect SOLD me on my next AC purchase and from whom...Trane and Capital respectlively. He took the time to educate me about the unit...Namely, it was one of the best Trane units made at the time and if properly maintained had a serviceable and useful life remaining. A+ in all categories. Would recommend without hesitation for any Central AC units, but especially if you have a Trane or want to buy one. Trane is simply the best Central A/C available. Add Capital AC for purchase and maintenance and enjoy the peace of mind. Quality is always cheaper in the long run.

Add Freon

The air kept freezing up. I had them come out to check, they had to add 6 pounds of Freon.($32 a pound) It ran out 2 weeks later. That's a big leak.(They had changed the coil 09-16-15)  If its the coil it would have been free because it had a 1 year warranty .  Capital Air   told me i needed to do a nitro test to find out where the leak was, $395. They did the test and told me that I have a big leak in the copper wire that runs through the house. $1635.00   Great, I have air conditioning again. 3 Weeks later my Air conditioner freezes up again. They came out and I had lost all the Freon, the leak was in the coil. They install the new coil and put Freon and I have air again, at no charge. I will not use them again.

oro. .the technicians at capital air gonditioning are top rate.this isthe third time I have used their service. I think they are the best AC service around. I called them on Feb 18  in the morning and they provided my tenant excellent results.  they tuned up the airconditioner and replaced the  voltage regulator. I  would
o definitely reccommend them to everyone.

The technician arrived on time and was very professional and courteous. He determined there was only a small amount of R-22 that needed to be added. He checked the entire system for signs of a possible leak. No leaks were found or apparent in his inspection. The technician gave me advice on how to properly operate the A/C system during periods of cold weather to prevent coils from freezing. The price charged was very reasonable. I would definitely use them again.

These guys are EXCELLENT.....explained everything as they went and performed the work in a fast and efficient manner.

We've been using Capital Air for the past several months and are very pleased with their service and professionalism.  Their techs don't work on commission so they never try to sell you things that you don't need.  We've used them for several repair issues and were very impressed so when one of the units blew out we didn't think twice about hiring them to do the job.

It started off fine, the guys were prompt and began work immediately.  The removal/install took about 5-6 hours and I thought the guys were professional until one of them tried lifting the old condenser unit onto their truck and dropped it onto my 9 month old stamped driveway.  After dropping it he proceeded to drag it then lift one side of it pushing it to the end of the truck, thus causing more scrapes and gouges.  After doing that he proceeded to rub out the marks and scratches with his foot.  He kept going back to the area inspecting it and rubbing out marks he thought he missed.  He could not get them all, especially the gouges.  He never informed me of the incident.  I only found out after noticing the gouges and marks in the driveway the next day.  I reviewed the video on my camera which revealed the incident.  I emailed the owner Pete advising him of what happened and attached a copy of the video.  I was disappointed not to receive a timely response so I called Pete to see if he received the email.  He stated that he did.  He said that they are used to dropping the units on old driveways and that they have to get used to these new cosmetic driveways.  He said that if I got someone to repair he would take care of it.  That's it. There was no accountability and no ownership.  I got off the phone with him thinking it was my fault that I purchased a "cosmetic driveway"! So I guess it would have been ok if my driveway way old and not fashionable then damaging it would have been ok since it's already old anyway.  There was no mention of why the worker never mentioned the incident.  It bothered me that the mere ethics of the situation never bothered the owner.  I questioned whether there were other things throughout the install that I did not see that they failed to report.  I will have the driveway repaired on my own at my own expense. I'll only call them back out for service calls as per the agreement.  Other than that, I would not use them again.

Eric came out to give us a quote - he was very professional and knowledgable. We had 5 quotes, and theirs was the most competitive. The team came out the day of the install with Chris, on time, friendly, and hardworking professionals. We knew we had an unusual job (based on the location of our handler, and the age of the unit) but Capital AC handled the install with ease. They explained the process and features of each step. We would recommend anyone with an AC issue or new install to give them a call!
