What can you say about a company that does not value their long time customers? The company use to be a great! I’ve been with them for over 10 years! I have recommended and referred family & friends to them. Not no more! In the last few years the service has become awful. They are difficult to deal with. The techs are not proficient and you end up having 2-3 of them in order to fix the issue! One kid even came to do a simple Freon gas top off and he had never done that, in addition he tried to remove the back of the fridge from inside and broke all the hard plastic casing and then ripped out the foam insulation, who does that! Broward Factory does. The latest lies & cons was a renewal that could be put on hold or freeze while I was out of country, the salesman, assured me not a problem, we can do that, no they don't! But then never informed me that I could cancel, so instead its been dragging on for months, with no follow-up, everyone has a different story about the issue, they change the facts and call it a misunderstanding on my part! G Go with another service contract company and avoid this one, unless you really enjoy wasting your time on conflict resolutions

This company use to be a great company to work with. I’ve had them for years, however during this last year their service and customer care has become awful. I called them with an issue with my dryer and mentioned my wash room flooding when we ran the washer. I had informed them the water was coming from the drain pipe behind the washer so I wasn’t sure who to have come out to look at it, if it should be a plumber or if it should be someone to look at my septic system. Well, they opened the ticket to state to have someone fix my washer. While the tech was here to fix my dryer I explained the same thing to him and he said I should have a plumber come out and that he couldn’t fix it, fair enough since as I previously stated the issue was with the drain pipe. He never had to do anything with my washer on his visit. They called and said he recommended a plumber be sent out but then changed it to have someone look at the septic system only after I asked if it could be an issue with the septic. They recommended this so I didn’t have to pay for their service and the septic service if it did turn out to be a septic problem. However, they billed me for the washer anyways even though nothing was done to as previously stated. I asked them either for the charge to be refunded or to have the plumber come out to look at it so I wouldn’t have to pay a second service to find out it was a plumbing issue and this service was already paid for (using their logic). they then refused to send a plumber until the septic was looked at because this would have then pushed me out of the 30 day window of the original ticket being opened and they would then get to charge me a second time for something that should have been covered by the first charge. Every time I talked to someone new in the company about this issue their story always changed. This company is just money hungry and doesn’t care about its customers or it’s employees. I can say employees too because while their tech was working on my drier he had explained to me about how the company kept over $100,000 of commissions that were suppose to be paid out to their employees the year prior. Don’t walk away from this company, run away as fast as you can.

I just had a very unpleasant conversation with Steve Ferguson from Broward Factory Service, complaining about the service I received on 6/16/22. A service man named Joe, took one look at my A/C, saw that the low side exit was frozen and said the coils were leaking. He then said the system was shot and had to be replaced inside and out, heating and cooling, and gave me a quote for said system of $9,744.00. He injected some refrigerant into the unit to give me some cooling for a few days until I could replace the system. I was not happy that no repair options were offered (which they usually do), so researched repairs on YouTube and found many ways to fix it for less than 7% of that price. A product called EasySeal from NuCalgon had over 200 5 star ratings on Amazon dating back to 2019, so I bought it, gauges to measure pressures, an IR temperature thermometer and refrigerant. It took me a few hours to clean the fins, inject the easy sealant and recharge the system and it is fine. I asked for reimbursement for these out of pocket expenses since BFS did NOT offer me any options for repair which they are obligated to do and normally do. Ferguson got very nasty and said he would not reimburse me anything and no longer wanted my business. It will be interesting to see if they will refund the balance of my contract. On simple low cost things BFS was OK, but watch out for anything expensive, like an A/C as they won't touch it. So what good is their contract? CAVEAT EMPTOR!

Description of Work: I've recently renewed our service contract with this company in the beginning of this year. We also had an new air handler installed since our old one wasn't working properly. When the techs. installed the new unit I weans't given any working options on how the unit would work. Hence when the a/c stopped working of course on the weekend, I got up into the new unit and found by taking out the overflow switch the unit came on. I called for service the following Monday and told dispatch what happened, when the tech. came he didn't know when our unit was installed & was annoyed that he had another call after ours, sorry but I'm only paying the bill, right? Wasn't wired the way I wanted it to work, they sent over another tech. better personality and happier and he corrected the problem. Thanks for that
