I was told that my cat had feline leukemia and needed to be hospitalized immediately and a series of tests needed to be done to determine the extent of the disease. First it was hard to communicate through a tech and not directly to the doctor. My cat is 100% indoors and get the vaccine annually so her chances are low to getting this disease. The situation that I originally went to them for was ignore. I was told that she broke her tooth but it was okay. I refused the treatment without being able to directly speak with a vet and went home and did some research. I learned that if you get a positive snap test, the vet should send off blood work for confirmation. I called their other office which is about 30 minutes away to see the vet that the practice is licensed under, Dr. Caballero. I made an appointment there and went to that location.
I explained what happened and my complaint regarding the other vet not being able to communicate and why was I not offered the blood test and by now my cat was in severe pain in her jaw. I felt like they were just trying to make money off of me and not really concerned about my pet. He did give her a shot of antibiotic and we were given meds to take home. He also did the blood work that showed she did not have feline Leukemia and stated that it would be extremely rare for her to contract it.Licensing
