Work was performed as promised.  All workers were professional and courteous, they showed up on time and explained what was being done, including day to day timelines.

         The window  installation went so well, that I hired  

them to install the the other storm protection. All in all Mr. Vanderheyden and his employees were very professional. I would definitely recommend to anyone.  KK Panama City, Fl.

Upon inspection of the damage, Vanderheyden  assumed full responsibility for the water damage even though the reason for the roof leak was not clear. To my surprise he  offered to repair the damage at no cost. Two weeks later my roof was fully restored. This contractor obviously  places utmost value on customer satisfaction. He will be the first to call for any future work that I may need on my home.

I met with the owner of the company,Herman Vanderheyden.He provided me with an estimate on work to be done on my metal roof. Herm responded to all my concerns in a professional manner. As of this date I have not decided on a contractor.

Had leak showing on second story bathroom ceiling.  Thought it was a roof leak.  Called three roof repairmen...1 never returned calls, 1 came and looked and said he would be back the next day...never saw them again and Vanderheyden Inc came by said they thought it was simply a vented area that the seal had cracked with age and should be replaced.  They agreed to check the other five bathroom vents as well as the chimney and repair as necessary.  He said they were very busy but would be back within the week.    They came back, did a professional job repaired flashing, hole in chimney and the vents.  They took all debris with them as they went.  No more leaks.  They did a great job in a timely manner and did what they said they would do...no surprises.  I will hire them again without hesitation.

It didn't go. I never heard back.

Herman quoted the job, did the work and wouldn't even invoice me until he personally checked the quality of his employees work. I now have him working on the design and installation of a pool enclosure. I am very satisfies with him as an individual and the quality of his work.

Reputable company but too high for my budget

I have worked with this vendor before. His company installed my Sunsetter awning. The owner came out, estimated the job and sent his person out the next day to repair my roof. The companys in this area are putting off roof repairs for 1 to 2 weeks because of the unusual ammount of rainfall we have had this Summer. He was timely, inexpensive and very professional. His roofer explained every step he took. I was verry satisfied.

Contacted the provider and was told she would call me back when she found out when she could get someone out to my home. She called me back not ten minutes later and said she could have someone there in about one hour. He showed up a few minutes early and got to work.
Both springs in my garage door had broken. He replaced both springs, lubricated all the joints in the door and track, as well as adjusted the automatic garage door opener. The door works great and is even quieter than it was before.
The repairman was punctual, polite and knowledgeable about his craft.
I would use this service again and would recommend it to anyone.

All appointments were met in a timely manner. Work was neat and cleanup was precise.No damage to structure (brick) or landscaping occurred during installation.We couldn't be more pleased with whole process.The storm shutters have been successful in warding off all hurricanes (thus far).

    It was scheduled to be done in a month and a week but once they got here  

the work went quickly and smoothly. I on the hand could not stay for the duration because my pets could not handle all the nose.
 They did call right before they finished the job and we came back  to see it done.
  The decoration shutters we already had by windows were put back on and he explained how to identify all the rolled pieces (shields) to put on windows when we have  possible storms.

It was very positive from them.  I did not get the quote first time but they had called to follow up.  I liked the guy that came out and did the quote.

The product was delivered as promised but was the wrong cut.  The bolt holes did not line up.  Called back the company and the product was fixed within 2 days.  I did not blame the technician as the estimator never measured just guessed, thinking all the windows are the same?!
Like the product, would use company again.

We decided to use another provider with a lower price.

Great. There was a minor problem which the company fixed in an expetious fashion at no additional cost.

It took multiple calls and leaving of messages before they finally got back to me to set up initial meeting to review options, costs, and take measurements. They required ~50% down payment at time of placing order. Then I had to call back after almost 2 months to check on the status of my ordered products. Once we scheduled an installation date, they did show up on time and were very friendly and conscientious workers and cleaned up after themselves at the end of each day (2 days of installation work). One of the window shutters, however, was the wrong size and paint had been scraped off and/or stuck to the packing material. I have been assured that they will replace the shutter at their expense (at this time it is "on order"). Overall work was good and seems like a reputable and trustworthy group of people from  the owner, to the office receptionist, to the installers. I would say the prices were moderate and would recommend shopping around and compare quality of products and workmanship (i.e., installation) before settling on any one company. I probably could have found similar quality and workmanship at a slightly lower price if I had the time to look further. But unfortunately, I had little free time and found very little on-line informational reviews for the goods and services I was seeking. This company had the most -- though still very limited -- in terms of posted reviews and based on that they seemed to be "okay" for what I needed. So, in summary, they were pretty good, but if you have the time and ability to "shop around", you might be able to find a somewhat better price tag for similar goods and services.

I give Vanderheyden very high marks for professionalism, integrity and honesty.  They were just not the right service providers for my job.  They told me they do mainly commercial, and they are far away from my condo, so they don't come into my service area east of Seaside very often.  I had two broken hurricane shutters that needed fixing, and I had a very hard time getting the recommendation of any reputable local firm.  So I appreciated their willingness to help out when I contacted them, as at that time I had no other option.
The reason my rating is not higher is that they said one of the two shutters was a non-standard width and they waited--and waited and waited--for customized replacement parts to arrive.  Not really just waited, whoever they used on at least two occasions sent the wrong parts to them.  Be that as it may, my shutters, both of them, remained unrepaired for a period of almost five months.  I finally found a local firm that repaired both shutters within two weeks, using parts they had on hand.
Bottom line is that I would not hesitate to recommend Vanderheyden for a job where they were better suited to take it on.  They were extremely nice to deal with, they tried to help out, I did feel they knew what they were doing, but it wasn't the right job for them, as it turned out.  It just took a very long time for me to figure that out.  Note: my hurricane shutters are from 1996, so that was part of the problem, they did not have access to the right replacement parts.  I found a local firm that did.

Arrived on time and was very professional. Subsequently found out we qualified for FEMA funding using the Rebuild NW Florida program, so decided to save 75%. If we had not qualified, we would have contracted Vanderhayden INC.

They were really nice, but I decided not to go with them.  They were in line with all the quotes that I had gotten.  The guy showed up on time and was nice.  He gave me my quote and that was good.  There was nothing to dislike about it.  The price was comparable.

Contacted the provider who tenitively scheduled the repair for the next afternoon.  He called back and reset the date for the following morning.  He arrived 10 minutes early, fully prepared for the job and went right to work.  He completed the job in about 90 minutes, adjusting and setting the door when the repair was finished.  He cleaned up after himself, and took all old pieces.  He was very professional and competent. We would definitely use this company again and would highly recommend them.

They performed the work quickly and neatly.  No complaints here.  Very nice group of people, would choose them again if I had more work to be done.

Excellent setting appointment that fit our needs. Great choices for products? Will more than likely purchase product in near future.

We have waited three weeks to get an estimate to have work done at our home. We requested prices on a covered patio, pool enclosure, hurricane shutters, and a few small repairs around the house since they would be here anyways. After having the owner come out and see the work we have not heard back from him. After waiting two weeks we called and left a message. We have still not received a call. He seemed very happy to be here and willing to give us an estimate so we are not sure what his issue is. We are left to assume he must not need work in the area. Three weeks for an estimate without a return call is unacceptable. Big waste of our time!

UPDATE: We previously submitted a negative review because we were not getting an estimate back. The owner came out and apologized for it and has more than corrected the problem. His estimate was not the lowest that we got from contractors. We still  went with him because of his professionalism and his knowledge of his products. He seemed very honest and he addressed all concerns before the project was started.The crew arrived on time and were very professional. The work is complete and we are very happy we went with this company.
