+ -1 moreWe came home from week vacation late Saturday night to a 90 degree house with the AC fan blowing out hot air. I searched Angie's List, found good ratings on Air Conditioning One, and called Mr. Roger on Sunday afternoon (expecting I would have to leave a message), but he answered! and told me he could come out Monday afternoon. He called to let me know he would be about 10 min late, he showed up on time, and went straight to work. He replaced 2 burnt breakers (BURNT!), and filled our ancient AC with the bad old school ozone destroying freon. Our AC unit is probably late 1970s, early 80s. Time for a new one. His company sells and installs AC units, but he did not pressure us to buy one from his company. He did recommend we get an electrician to check out our breaker panels, and recommended a larger unit for our ranch style U-shaped house. We do have problems wth back rooms getting cool. He was very nice, professional, and we would use Air Conditioning One services again.

+ -1 moreThe contractor was prompt and responsive and professional, but the contractor didn't really perform any tune-up...they accessed the AC unit and told me I needed a new one. They didn't clean coils, they didn't test freon.

+ -1 moreI called Roger Rogers on or about 5/5/15 and as suspected he determined that some type of animals had invaded my attic and burrowed holes into my ductwork. He said he could either tape up the holes or replace all of the ductwork. He also noted our unit was about fifteen years old and could be replaced with a more modern and energy efficient machine. My wife and I elected to replace the entire system and all the ductwork. On Friday, 5/8, Roger arrived promptly and replaced the ductwork and even helped me by removing a few items I had stored in the attic and forgotten about. I was surprised that he was able to complete this portion of the work in about 6 hours. On Monday, 5/11, Roger and his helper arrived promptly on schedule to replace the unit. The work seemed to go without a hitch and the entire unit was installed before noon. The new unit is much quieter and hopefully will quickly show a decrease in my electric bills. Oh, I should mention that Roger gave us a senior citizen discount, something that I forgot to ask about.
Description of Work: Replaced all the ductwork in the attic and replaced airconditioning unit.

He gave us a solution to our problem without trying to sell us anything extra. Our unit is getting old, and we will definitely use him again if it has a problem, or when it is time to replace it.

Came back a month later to rewire my whole system. on both occasions they were available and on time. did a great job overall and am happy with the work they did. would recommend them to anyone. .

+ -1 moreRoger Rogers, owner/operator of this company, came out, surveyed the problem and gave me options and estimates. He then wrote down a price on which we agreed and went into action. Within 24 hours, he had ordered all necessary parts and installed a brand new AC Unit in my parents home. He was on time, professional and efficient. His price was good and most of all, he took care of 2 Senior Citizens in the process. He'll be my AC man from now on!!!

+ -1 moreWe called Roger early Saturday morning for an air conditioning service call. Besides the A rating on Angie's list, Air Conditioning One is one of the few HVAC service companies to have normal Saturday hours, avoiding the "Emergency Hours Surcharge" of other companies. He was prompt and personable. Within 5 minutes he had the problem narrowed down to one of two causes. Fortunately, it was the less expensive problem. Additionally, he gave the unit a good once-over and found that the R-22 charge was low. Within minutes the house was cooling and much faster than it had been in previous months. Through the years we have dealt with many companies and Air Conditioning One is absolutely the best HVAC company we have ever hired and will be our go-to company for any HVAC issue. Besides the outstanding service, Air Conditioning One is extremely fair with their prices and service fees.

Description of Work: We recently moved into a new home. On the second day after we moved in we noticed water dripping from an A/C vent in our seventeen foot ceiling. My husband went into the attic but he couldn't find anything. As the dripping continued the ceiling around the vent starting getting wet as well. We called our home warranty company but they couldn't get anyone out to us for a few days. Later in the same day that we noticed another vent in the same room had started leaking and then a few hours later the third vent in the room was leaking. The ceiling around each vent was wet. I was terrified my ceiling was going to be destroyed. After the second vent started leaking I called Roger at Air Conditioning One. He told me he could get out that evening at 6pm and to shut the air off until then. I told him the air was actually still working and blowing cold but that we had water dripping from our vents. I asked if I should turn it off and he said, no, in that case go ahead and leave it on. He arrived around 6 and all he did was go in the room where the vents were leaking. He told my husband it was going to be very expensive if he performed the work and that since we just bought the house we should go through our home warranty people. My husband explained that we had tried but they couldn't get anyone out for days and we wanted to save our ceiling. We would pay for his services because we wanted it fixed. Roger declined, saying it would be too expensive and we should wait for our warranty people.

+ -1 moreMy wife and I woke up to a non-functioning A/C and suspected the worst, since this would have been our 5th a/c in the last 15 years. Roger answered the phone, took my info, gave a time later that day when he would arrive (arrived early). He then diagnosed the problem, fixed it and it cost far less than what we anticipated. This was due to our past experience and other A/C repair companies assuming that a new compressor is the answer to all problems. Sometimes, its not. Roger knew that it was just a minor repair and we will never use anyone else, and appreciate his honestly, skill, and professionalism.

He arrived as scheduled and got right to work. He and his associate were great. They got everything up and running in less time than expected. They cleaned up after themselves and hauled our old unit away. Roger called a few days later to make sure everything was working and to make sure we were satisfied. I would recommend this company.

+ -1 moreThe unit stopped working on a Friday evening. So it was difficult to locate anyone for a Saturday appointment. I called a couple of places and got recordings about being closed on Saturday. Called Air Conditioning One and Roger picked up. He said he could be out before noon. Around 11:45 Roger arrived. He had to get up in the attic to checkout the unit. He reset it and it started working. He went on to checked the coolant pressure. Was done in a half hour. Roger was extremely courteous and a pleasure to talk to. He offers senior discount and military discounts. I will definitely use him again.
Description of Work: Air conditioner was not running. Its a heat pump and the outside unit would start, run for 15-20 seconds and then stop. They came out and checked out the unit.

+ -1 moreAfter waiting all day for the repairman that had worked on the unit last, and no phone follow up, I got Air Conditioning One from Angies list, called Roger, and arranged for a SAturday 9 am appointment. He showed up 10 minutes early, quickly found one problem, fixed it, identified the need for gas, added some, and left. This is the way repairs should be.
Description of Work: HVAC not cooling. Roger did troubleshooting and replaced bad capacitor and added some freon.

Roger was extremely busy but sent out an assistant named Stan. Stan was very kind, polite and professional. He located the problem right away, repaired it and I am very satisfied. This company comes highly recommended.
