GASTON'S TREE SERVICE

I had a large tree branch resting on my roof. Gaston's tree service were very quick to respond, were professional, and worth every penny. I plan to use them in the future and would recommend their service to anyone!

They were very efficient and good. Very prompt.  Some body comes to checkout the health of the tree. They always clean up the sight.

"Job took 4 hrs. (est. to take all day).  I asked that they bring mats, if possible, to lean against corner of pool screen--they did (The arborist, who estimated, previously suggested that we provide plyboard or something for this--I wouldn't have considered, as I've had a fair amount of tree work & landscaping done back there w/out such.... When I called, saying that we couldn't provide that & asked if they would if poss., he said "no problem." Wondering why they didn't just offer in the 1st place?) 
Tree removal went smoothly.  I have used Gaston's before and was very pleased, and might use them again, but next time I will get a couple more estimates--I feel like the price was high. A "B" in overall--above average (I've had lots of different tree people), but not really excelling.

They are professional. They have safety first for their employees. They came when they said they would be here. They finished in one and half hours and used a new crane which facilitated their work. They cleaned up impeccably. The price was competitive.

Gaston's quoted $3,000 for the canopy lift, which was four times higher than the next highest bid ($775). I obviously chose someone else. Four other providers quoted much lower prices and said the job was routine. Gaston's made it seem like a huge operation that would be difficult to complete. The representative returned phone calls and arrived on schedule, but the price was unreasonable..

I didn't use this company because I felt that the person who came out to give me the estimate was patronizing. He kept harping on the fact that I will need to move my plants so his truck can come through, just like if I were installing a pool. He must have mentioned that point 5-6 times and in a most patronizing way. The tone of his conversation with me was much different than the tone from the other companies who sent someone out for an estimate. I just wonder if he would have spoken to a man the same way he spoke to me.

Wow, couldn't be more impressed with Gaston's. We've used three other tree trimming services in the past and had horrific experiences and/or astronomical estimates. Gaston's came out to this investment property and gave us a quote of $0.00 with a recommendation to do some small trimming ourselves, but there was no need for their services. Now how often does that happen?
We were certain some branches hanging over the house would need trimming and our home inspector suggested the same prior to purchase. Gaston's put our mind to rest as they walked the property and educated us about the various trees and what didn't need to be done.
Since this, we've had Gaston's come to another property and will be using them exclusively for all our tree trimming needs. Well done!

They did a good job with the trees. They did leave some sucklings that should have been removed. Attention to detail. They showed up when expected. While the work was being done, they did some minor damage to the carport metal overhang but failed to mention it before they left. Since it was obvious what happened, we called the manager and it was resolved pretty quickly. The manager was very responsive. We would use them again, but probably take a look at everything before they leave the job site.

Price was agreeable. Work was done by an exelent crew. I would recommend Gator Tree Service.

They cleaned up well.

The overall outcome was exceptional. This was a very difficult job due to the size of the trees and how far reaching the limbs were, hanging over not just my house but my neighbors. Obstacles included other trees, shrubs and fencing.
They first carefully removed the fencing (saving all the fence and most of the posts and wood). They trimmed up a large Live Oak in the front yard to allow the cranes and other machinery to get to the backyard. They removed as many of the big limbs possible swinging these tree-sized limbs over my house (avoiding damaging any of my front yard trees).
Then a problem presented itself. The large crane could not fit between homes without removing my neighbors beautiful azaleas and more fencing. They took it upon themselves to go to my neighbor in the back and worked out a way to use their yard to bring in the crane. Some concrete pavers had to be removed and then put back in place. From that position they were able to finish removing all the large hanging limbs and the higher portions of the trunks. And that was the first day.
Next day they arrived bright and early cutting down the remaining trunks, leaving some of the trunks, leveled off for me to use as raised herb gardens. It is going to work perfect!
They then cleaned everything up, including raking and blowing off debris and leaves from around the driveway and front of house. To be honest, it looked better than before they started. After all was said and done I think only one azalea was damaged.
I cannot say enough to really describe what great people these guys were. All were considerate, polite, professional. I am sure there are other tree services in the area that can handle smaller jobs but I would not trust anyone else for "monster" trees like I had.

I contacted them in December for an estimate but they couldn't do the job until January. They were up front and said they couldn't get to it right away. They were cheaper than everyone else. They did an excellent job and did everything that they said they would do.

I got them from Angie's List. I haven't started the work yet but I still may do it. It was a very good experience. They were very professional. Their price was good. They were very responsive and they came on time. The quote was good. The quote was for $730 or something like that. They were very good. They've been doing this around for a long time and they do excellent work.

2nd company called (after one didn't follow through on estimate)--recommended on Angie's and by neighbors. An arborist came to make estimate, and he both listened to what I wanted done and gave helpful feedback--we agreed upon work to be done and he gave us an estimate I felt was good. The two-man crew arrived on time and completed the work as outlined. Cleanup afterward was excellent. The job took much of the day. Everyone I came in contact with from Gaston's was courteous and professional, and we are very pleased with the work.

Overall, Gaston's Tree Service was a great disappointment. I find their behavior very unprofessional and must conclude that they don't need the business.
