Showed up on time, did a good job. I questioned him about charging $150 labor plus $65 service call. He was here less than an hour. I explained the service call fee should be applied to the labor charge, especially since I told them exactly what I wanted done before they got here. I property manage 62 properties in Indianapolis and this same service would have only cost me $90 total labor and service call fee using a plumber there - that is my complaint. This service was performed in Noblesville.

Were very prompt and professional when scheduling an appointment and providing an estimate.  During the installation, everything went well and they were timely and very neat throughout.  Would use again.

The outside line was attached to the water softener and not the water line.  We paid someone to fix this later.  They caulked the sink with the wrong material and did a sloppy job.  This also required re-doing.

We have used him 4 times in the last year and we decided that he’ll be our plumber. He is excellent. My experience with him has been fantastic. We had a lot of things going crazy and we just decided to go ahead and have him because we like his work.

Quick and easy

Nate and his partner showed up promptly and VERY quickly (morning after initial call to them), took time to understand the issues raised by the inspector and discussed options with me and information on what the problem was (and in some cases weren't).  Got an estimate  to me within hours and scheduled the work to be done.  Previously used Thornton Plumbing multiple times over 5 years and ALWAYS had a very good experience.  Fair prices, professional, helpful, great quality.  Best part was they treated me like an intelligent adult and not an uninformed female like a lot of contractors do.  Helped me find other types of contractors that would treat me equally fairly and with respect.  HIGHLY recommend Thornton Plumbing--have them in my phone book and will never delete!  Nate's definitely my "go to" guy!

They were professional and on time. They were very informative.

Everything went as expected. They showed up on time and the water heater works well.  The only thing that I wondered about was the fact that they left me no paper work or manual for the water heater.

We set up the appointment the night before and he arrived at the schedule time.
He also offered the extended warranty rather than including it in the quoted priced.
During the installation he identified a defect in the vent valve for the water heater and did not install it.  He took the time to make a special trip to the plumbing store to get a replacement valve. 
He also cleaned up the area and before he left.

Thornton Plumbing came on a weekend when I had an emergency. They came and cleared out the drain and it was still sluggish and they came back and redid it the next day. I liked that they came very quickly on a weekend. The quality of work was fine. They were professional because when they didn't do it right the first time, they came back.

Prompt response to my morning voice message.  Very courteous and informative; explained exactly what work needed to be performed and costs.  I would Thornton again without hesitation.

The check valves were noisy. When I came across this big deal on Angies List I purchased it. I have a backup sump pump as well. So I had him replace both while he was here and paid additional $75 for the second valve. However, even after replacing the check valve  it was still making the noise. The plumber told me that a the original installer did not open the weep hole and therefore the new silent check valve wasn't working silently as expected. Then he suggested making a hole in the pipe that takes the water out without taking out the entire unit which would have been an expensive job. I had no option but to proceed. The hole did fix the problem. i.e. the check vale doesn't make the thud noise anymore. However, everytime the sump pump runs the water gushes out and hits one side of the sum pit wall with great force. I am not sure what will happen in the long run due to this. And I am also not sure if indeed the original installer (many years ago) did not open the weep hole. Anyways, I am left with a sump pump that gushes water from the side of the pipe every time it runs. Even though the water is contained within the pit, it does bothers me and I am not sure if what the plumber did to fix the problem was correct or not?

Great guy.  Provided a quote on the phone and delivered a top quality job at the agreed price.

He looked at it and said it was working. I did not have him change it. He checked out a toilet instead. I called him later to check the toilet and has not responded.

I was impressed with the prompness and the professionalization of Thornton. Although the original service was for an inspection, the sump pump was very old and needed replacement. The services was preformed quickly and during the same visit.

Did a sump pump tune up.  However, I was not home and our cleaning lady was.  Did not realize that we had 2 sump pumps to be tuned and he refused to go ahead and just do the 2nd one and charge me.  Live in expensive custom home and the incidental charge was minimal but he wouldn't even wait for our cleaning lady to call me to let me give him a credit card to bill him.

Good overall I just thought $1800 plus labor for a water heater was expensive.

He wasn’t able to fix one of the problems that I had. He was upfront about it, but I wasn’t happy that the work wasn’t able to be completed.

We called the company on  a Friday evening after having our water heater leaking and we were surprised that he even answered the phone that late on a Friday night. He scheduled us for next day Saturday afternoon he was very prompt and took him a little over an hour to replace our water heater. We were very pleased with how fast, responsive and smooth the whole process went. We would definitely recommend him and hire him again if needed. The price was the most reasonable we found also.
