The son told me that my toilet was broken. I did not believe that  He tried to show me that the toilet was leaking and a whole new toilet was needed. I saw that he slipped his finger under a place and in fact, it looked like it was leaking. he charged me $125.00.  I told him to leave.  I got a second opinion and it took about 20 min. to replace a broken flap.  I called Thorton refunded my money.

Top notch service. Nate is very professional and was fair in his estimate for the work performed. They showed up on-time and did quality work. I will definitely be using Thornton Plumbing in the future.

Bought coupon for service call, didn't realize that no actual work would be included.  A little deceptive in their ad.

Nathan and his assistant were prompt, friendly, and knowledgable. They worked hard to do the job correctly.

He arrived before the scheduled time.  Nate and his assistant Justin were thorough in the work.  They removed a link of copper pipe that was no longer needed and replaced a corroded and unworkable saddle valve.  Before they started they drained the pipes as well.  They cleaned up afterward.

These two men are of the highest character, dependable, skilled, thorough, and patient with our questions.  We would not think of having another plumber.  They are the best.

They also previously did a great job recommending and installing our water softener.

They were very prompt and took care of the problem but the price was high.

UPDATED: Nate came to my house at 11am on a sunday morning to question my initial review.  I felt pressured into changing to a positive review.  This was completely unacceptable and unprofessional.  I would not recommend thornton plumbing to a friend.

As do most plumbing repairs one fix leads to another. Nate Thornton (owner) did a small service job for me the previous week and I wanted him to look at my water softener. After some discussion we agreed the best answer was a new softener. Nate and his assistant Mike showed up on time for the softener install and while installing they noticed there was a small hole in the pressure tank. So while Mike continued the softener install, Nate left and picked up a pressure tank. It was after 6:00 PM before they finished the job.

What a difference it made to our water quality. I thought Nate & Mike were very professional and did a great job.

By contacting Thornton Plumbing for a second opinion, I saved $500, MY PROBLEM IS ACTUALLY RESOLVED, and I have two brand new sump pumps as opposed to just running more PVC line to reroute water.
Nate Thornton the owner is a honest Christian man with a great work ethic.  Very hard to find nowadays.  His repair cost was half of what another company quoted me.  His knowledge and quality of work is above and beyond other plumbers I have hired in the past.   I wanted a second opinion on my sump pump repair and purchased an Angie's List Big Deal from Thornton Plumbing.  Nate contacted me the same day and they were available that afternoon!  I had previously hired Service Plus to check the operation of my two sumps and battery backup.  They sent out an inexperienced tech who told me everything was working fine just by holding the pipe to see if water was running through it.  However, my overflow problem persisted.  When Nate arrived he listened patiently to the story of the symptoms the system was exhibiting.  He told me he suspected the second pump was dead and that was why the battery backup system kept coming on and pumping water to the outside of my house instead of the water being pumped only through the two main pumps and into the storm sewer system.  I told him to proceed and upon opening the sump pit his prediction was correct!  I went ahead and replaced that pump but also decided to replace the primary pump as well due to its age and substandard brand of pump.  Nate gave me a discounted rate on the second pump part price and they also have a 3 year warranty.  If I had gone along with the Service Plus diagnosis, I would've paid them $1500 to reroute my discharge line away from my driveway and the problem with the pumps would have still existed.
As a second matter, Nate gave me a quote to run a gas line to an outside future fire pit.  His price was $1500 as compared to over $3000 from Service Plus. Thornton Plumbing will definitely be getting our business for that project and for all our future plumbing needs.

Nate was prompt & professional. He did a good job& we would use him again.

I called them to fix a kitchen faucet and the faucet in the bathroom. I got a quote for the toilets. I picked them out and ordered them through Economy Plumbing ($638). I was able to get them at a discount there but that is not the norm, I've found, so the Toto Drake water efficient toilets I bought would be more expensive. Thornton picked them up and installed them quickly and cleanly. There is a $25 charge for hauling the toilets away.
For all the interactions I've had with Thornton, I've been very happy. The people have been courteous and knowledgeable. The work is done quickly and they don't leave a mess. Additionally, they are happy to explain anything I don't understand. We will use them in the future.

I have a fear of working with gas! The tech was very understanding and did an excellent job of explaining how to start the pilot light and what to do in the future should the light go out. I prefer the "smaller" business companies over the franchises. I will definitely use them in the future if I have any plumbing needs.

Noticed water build up around the sump pump discharge outside the home. Bought a sump pump inspection and called in the work to repair the line. Scheduled for 9am; they thought they had me down for 9:30. No biggie; as long as the line gets fixed. Quoted $450, but payed $499. I don't know what the other $49 was for, but as long as the discharge works, I didn't care. Now for the inspection.... Stated that the sump pump was "aged" & may need to be replaced soon. Also the back up pump was not functional. Ok, how much??? $2,098!!! Checked Lowe's, and Home Depot. Both have priced well under half of that for the most expensive combos they carry. What I like: Responsive; Accessible: They answer the phone. They call right back. If I have an emergency I will use them again.
