"We are terribly sorry that we wasted your time that is never our intention. I do see that you scheduled an appointment and it was booked. It is to my understanding that we called back right away to tell you that your address is out of our service area. The reason being is because you are located Down town Indianapolis, and our shop is located in Noblesville. We serve all Hamilton County and Northern Indianapolis. Sorry for the misunderstanding. Appointment was scheduled promptly for same week. Service was quick and they cleaned up afterwards. Provided good operator instructions offered other home services.
"This customer bought a $35 coupon for a service call. We normally charge $49 for a service call. A service call consists of us coming out to someone's home, and looking at there problem, and give professional advice on how to solve the problem, and give a price to fix or replace. In this case the customer had a handy man over to fix a builder grade cheep outside hose bib. The customer explained to us that they had it fixed by the handy man and it only lasted for a week or so. We explained that the seat in the hose bib was bad and it was wearing out the rubber inside the hose bib. Again this a builder grade cheep hose bib, and it was not worth the money to even have us try to fix it. When a hose bib is acting the way she describe it is unfixable. We were trying to save her money. We explained that if we go though the motions to try to fix the hose bib that it was going to cost her $189 or we could replace it for $371. I have 15years experience as a plumber. This customer was unreasonable person which we run into from time to time. She was not willing to even listen to our advice. She even asked us "how do I know that I can trust you guys." She explained that she paid a handy man to fix the last hose bib, and it cost $100.00. We explained that we are NOT a handy man we are PROFESSIONAL PLUMBERS. Taking into consideration that she had never hired a plumber before and misread the coupon we have offered her a refund of her $35. I got the feeling when I was there that this was going to happen form the way that she was treating us. I think that we will be taking down the chance to save money from Angie's list because we keep on getting bad reviews from unreasonable people that want something for nothing. We are sorry to those customers out there that want to save money on our service call, but we can no longer go on dealing with this type of customer."
"[removed member's name] called my company and asked that we change out her water heater told us it was leaking. We showed up at the appointment time. I agreed that her water heater needed to be changed. Its an electric water heater so its not like a gas water heater where it is OBVIOUS if it is leaking or not. Which we believed her request because there was water all over her floor by the water heater. We are a honest Plumbing company we will not take advantage of anyone. Some Plumbing companies would have NOT told her about her warranty, but we did. There was an upgrade charge on warranty water heaters now a days due to the new Water Heater LAW passed by CONGRESS APRIL 15 of 2015 she was told all this upfront. [removed member's name] is RIGHT on one thing that we did make a MISTAKE it was her FURNACE that was leaking all over the floor. We are a PLUMBING Company NOT Heating and AIR company. I have run into this before, but it is a RARE occurrence. The next day we came back to her house and fixed the problem for FREE. We talked to [removed member's name] on the phone today she demanded her money back, and said that if she did not get her money back she would post a BAD review. We offered her $75 back We also Fixed HER PROBLEM FOR FREE. She refused the $75back. We are all about being fair but her request was unreasonable to us. [removed member's name] Now has a NEW TOP OF THE LINE ELETRIC WATER HEATER, A THERMAL EXPANSION TANK, AND HER FURNACE DRAIN LINE CLEANED FOR $975.00 NOT A BAD DEAL. I don't know what else to say to this, but WE DID THE RIGHT THING."
"Upon notice of this review, we were immediately concerned. We received a C for overall grade, and had NO description of the work preformed. Later investigation revealed, we had no record of doing ANY work for this specific customer. We have checked all records of jobs preformed, and still cannot find the customer name or address. If this customer exists, it would sound like they paid for a coupon for a 35$ service call. According to Angies List records. This customer did not like our price. We apologize."
"We came out and met with the customers Mother. Who was a very nice lady. She informed us, that her son "The Customer," had purchased an ACE HARDWARE battery back-up sump pump. At no time did we ever refer to her product as "No Good," we simply informed her that there were better quality, professional, reliable products available. We gave a quote on putting the customers battery back up sump pump, or installing a far superior product, at a reasonable price. We apologize if our prices were not up to your standards."
