The president quickly came out to provide a quote. His workers did promptly remove old tile as requested. The grouting portion of the job was the issue. The new tile panels were a mixture of glass and stone. The Arratta president stated bone grout would be used on the job although he had never seen the tile panels I wanted installed. I purchased the grout myself since I did not want bone color grout. The primary tile installer insisted I purchase sand grout while the tile package instructions and the Home Depot employee stated unsanded grout was necessary for the job. After my purchase, the installer seemed happy to use the unsanded grout I had purchased. A second worker was brought in to help with the grouting portion of the job. The grout was applied but not sufficiently wiped off of the stone tiles. Many stone tiles were caked with grout! And I stress caked. I work and upon my return home and viewing the workmanship, I emailed pictures to the president. He stated he could not tell from the pics what the problem was. (I believe he could.) Since he was paid in full, he took that as the job was satisifactory and he was not eager to return. Consequently I told him I would re-clean the tile. I worked on a section and was able to remove some of the excess grout but too much still remained on the stones. I contacted the president again and he had the primary installer return a week later. The primary installer quickly gave up trying to remove the dried excess grout. He agreed the tile had not been wiped down appropriately when the grout was applied. I reviewed the tile instructions after the job was performed and read the paragraph that states the stone should be sealed prior to grouting. The primary installer told me this was not done, although he believed the other worker could have wiped down the tile sufficiently that this would not have been an issue. Next I contacted the president again asking him to come to my home to see the workmanshiip. No reply to date.

The services were excellent. The company was very professional. The employees were very knowledgeable and performed their job duties with courteous and prompt service.
