I would not recommend Storm Smart. I started the process in the fall of 2023, with an install date of May 2024. I had ordered 5 very large hurricane sliders and knew it would take time to manufacture and deliver. Instead of May, they were installed in December of 2025. the quality is excellent, but waiting over a year for them was not necessary. I finally got the county permit to install them by calling the county office myself frequently in October. by the time I resolved the county problem, they were booked up until December for install. They realized that they didn't have any locks for the doors, and needed to order them. I have the 3 holes for the locks in each door, which allows dust and wind in. I unfortunately paid my bill, and now 6 months later, still have no locks. They also will not issue me a liability release letter, which I had requested once payment had been made. Never again!

We had six storm smart screens installed on our porch 2 years ago. They have since some out of the side grooves that hold the screens onto the side rails. They are now totally useless and screen smart wants nothing to do with it.

We had a 36’ electric roll down hurricane screen installed during the construction of our home in 2022. Storm Smart happened to be the subcontractor for the builder. The quality of the screen and functionality was very good. During hurricane Ian in Sept. 22’ we were very impressed and happy we had it. We even referred numerous customers in need of hurricane protection after the storm. However, due to our screen enclosure being destroyed during the storm the lanai roll down was damaged. The screen had only be installed for approx 6-7 months. We contacted Storm Smart in the beginning of Oct. 22’ and this is when everything went horribly wrong. We never heard back from anyone for 3-4 months after multiple calls & emails. They finally sent someone out to evaluate the damage and sent a repair quote. We immediately signed and sent back the quote, and again no response, no communication at all. Finally after multiple emails they replied “it will take about 6-7 months to come out and repair.” We weren’t happy, but understood due to the immense hurricane damage in our area. So we were patient and waited. They came out in the middle of this past July 22’. However even after just installing the screen the previous year, and having the estimator come out, they had the wrong screen cut. Then instead of leaving the screen installed they proceeded to make the situation worse by taking it all apart and leaving it on our pool deck and leaving our trusses and soffit area wide open. So now when we get the gusts of rain and weather it’s getting the trusses wet, insulation wet etc. They scheduled a crew to return in just a few weeks, but called us mid day when they were supposed to come back and said their workers didn’t show up and they needed to reschedule. This has been since mid July when they decided to make things worse. We are almost at the end of August and we still sit here. We have called multiple times about rescheduling, sent multiple emails, spoke with individuals on the phone telling us supervisors would call back, went to the office and the same thing. Not one person has called or emailed back as we sit here having the open area on the house being compromised to the rain, plus we are in the middle of hurricane season with no protection on top of it. This is ridiculous for such a large supposedly professional company. Their products are very nice but as for their service, communication and professionalism it’s some of the worst I’ve ever seen. It doesn’t matter how good their product is if they just install, walk away, and never address any of the service needs of their customers. Plus you can’t go anywhere else because they have the sole design on the system we had installed. You can see how they left us in the photos attached. We are almost at 1 year from hurricane Ian when this happened.

Terrible..terrible service, shutters installed April 21 Shutters were damaged during Ian, requested service in Jan 23 took 5 months for someone to come out tech was unable to make simple repairs. They sent another tech week later who again was unable to repair, rescheduled for July a no show! Called again and told scheduled for October, in meantime I’m unable to completely close. Now we’re in hurricane season and their totally useless

My experience with these guys are that they are big time wasters, horrible at communication and follow-up. Glad I turned elsewhere before getting too far down the road with them.

StormSmart hurricane shutters are great and really protected us through Ian. However, the lack of customer service from Storm Smart is astonishing and beyond frustrating. I have been waiting many weeks just for the written assessment of the damages to our lanai shutter. We're talking simple email with attachment. No response. their customer service is incompetent. They don't follow up or really listen to what you need. It is clear StormSmart was not prepared for a major hurricane. Ironic! There are now viable options to StormSmart. If you want a long-term relationship with a storm shade company, consider something other than StormSmart. They are not there for you when you need them. The best we can hope for now is that they will do the repairs before the next hurricane hits.

I received my hurricane roll downs for the lanai and accordion shutters for the window……they were th best investment I ever made. The roll downs were incredible and I didn’t even remove any items from the lanai….had bbq, couch, chairs and table and they didn’t move an inch during Hurricane Ian. I wanted to call and thank dawn for the best product ever. I had gotten a few quotes and though they weren’t the cheapest they had the best word of mouth and this has been proven during Ian. Thank you for top notch product, customer service from ordering to installation, everybody who I dealt with were completely professional and knowledgeable. I will always recommend your company above all others. As a first time home owner Thank you for protecting my home!

We have only had the storm smart curtain about 2 month prior to the storm. Now none of the damage done to it will be covered because of the storm intensity and duration. Over 12K was paid any and all repair will be out of pocket. One would think that for that much payout something would be covered. They will even charge a 135.00 per hour service fee. I’m not at all satisfied.

We had our storm smart 16 metal window and door shutters, and one huge storm screen, installed just prior to Ian hitting. This system really protected our house, in P**** Gorda Ian had winds in excess of 150mph and I was particularly concerned about the huge storm screen. Our Lanai screening and soffits took a hit. However every Storm Smart screen held up and protected our house I do not think you can go wrong with these!

Within a year the screens were hanging up (stopping midway) and they came out to realign the channels, all good. Six months after this two of the screens were stopping without fully closing. Upon inspection we were told that screens shrunk and had to be replaced. Two months later a team came out and said the wrong pieces were ordered. Two month after that the same thing happened - they couldn't do the job. Two months after that we called to get scheduling, they scheduled and didn't show up. Now they don't call back after we leave messages and this is the third time we asked for scheduling and are waiting for them to call back for scheduling.

Installation delayed due to shipment of windows. Communication was very poor. Once windows were installed contract specified payment due before inspection and final trim. After inspection (full payment had been rendered) it was almost impossible to get them to schedule trim installation. When they were scheduled they didn't show. The people on the phone lied about canceling the appointment. If you do use them don't pay until the job is completed.

The in solution went great, but after that the wheels fell off the cart. One mistake was that I paid for the job before the permit was closed. The customer representative was supposed to assist me with closing this permit, that didn’t happen. The email suggested that I am responsible for obtaining and posting the building permit. I have never heard anything so observed. The building inspector failed the inspection because the permit was not posted. After I paid thousands of dollars for a complete job, I didn’t receive. As of now I am still waiting

I would not hire this company if they were the last company on earth. The job was supposed to be competed Jan 4 and 5 and as of May 15 still not complete. Everything was made wrong the first time and had to be remade. No wonder they are the most expensive. They told me I had to be home all day for the inspector to do the inspection, so I stayed home all day, but no one showed up. Then they want to reschedule another day. The person did not know why it was necessary, I am guessing the inspection was never scheduled. I can't wait for this nightmare to be over!

Installation initially went very well in June of 2020. Installation went well. But, here I sit 7 months later with the job about 98% completed. They have not scheduled the final inspection yet and installed the strips to hide the bolts attaching their product to the house. In good faith I paid in full immediately after installation. Endless calls to the company have yielded just more frustration and a job that's still not complete. They were quick to take my money bit very bad on completing the job.

The installers for both the roll down and the second team for the hurricane windows and slider were excellent. The product is excellent. That been said the administration and the management of this company is appalling. Being promised installation 7-9 weeks from deposit paid and contract signed it was finally competed 19 weeks later. No updates unless we called. We wrote to CEO about our concerns and have never had the courtesy of a reply. They seem to work on the reverse principle of "Over promise and under deliver" - not a good business practice. The saving grace out of this were the installing teams, my hope would be that they get the bonuses come Christmas including those that would go to admin, sales and management.

One of the shutters was defective, they tried to jury-rig it to make it work. It didn't fix the problem. The technician forced the shutters to close with a lot of effort and said it was ok. Unfortunately when I went to use the shutters a couple weeks ago, it was very hard to close and extremely hard to open. I was schedule to have a service call this morning between 8:00-10:00, It's now 11:00 and no-one had called to let me know what's going on. I called several times and was told someone would call me back. No one did. Horrific customer servicer.... I would never recommend Storm Smart....

Scheduled an appointment and had to wait one month. A week before the scheduled service a very nasty service representative tells me that they do not do general service during hurricane season even though my appointment was for repair AND general service. Then the horrible woman says that we cannot come on the day that was scheduled. When I told her that she had screwed me over on the scheduling she refused to help me. Now I am still waiting for a manager to call me back. Beware if you plan to buy from Storm Smart and maybe you should buy elsewhere if you do not want to be screwed over on service SHAMEFUL they deserve a triple F service rating. Worst customer service ever!

We paid a deposit on January 14. The project was installed in late March. They asked for more money since work was complete and I gave them a partial payment. We finally got the inspection done in late May and it did not pass inspection! One of the 5 sections is not working properly. Despite numerous calls the company has not sent anyone out to fix the one section that is not operating properly and not resolved the issue with the inspector! HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! One of the managers keeps promising that he will have someone call me and nothing! When I called the scheduler, she would not come to the phone.

The very first question i asked was if they serviced the Clewiston area and they said yes. I created an appointment and they set a date for 3 weeks later. When I called to confirm the appointment, they cancelled because they said that they didn't service the Clewiston area. WTH!! The excuse was that the person who made the appointment was only there 3 days. BS!! I actually talked to someone else prior to me making the appointment asking about a product and this sales person also said that they DO service the Clewiston area.

Storm Smart installed Storm Catchers on our lanai and impact windows in our condo. We decided on the Storm Catchers, rather than Hurricane Shutters because we were impressed that they provide the same protection, but the special material allows us to see through them and light goes through. The installer was courteous, professional, knowledgeable and passionate about the product. The installers for the impact windows also did a great job. They made the entire process easy for us from the quote to the final inspections. I would recommend Storm Smart to anyone.

My salesman Bill sold me on the shutters, He was very professional and knowledgable. Answered all my questions thoroughly, did his job. I would highly recommend him. On delivery, Rafael Perdomo was amazing. He really put his best effort forward. I appreciated him asking when I wanted him to come in the morning and honering that. Both men praised the owners on how well they treated their employees, makingit feel more like a family. Kudos to everyone. Good job done start to finish. This was a refreshing company as, unfortunately, all companies are not out to do the best they can.
