They were very understanding, we had to put a cat down. Their pricing and promptness is very good and they are very understanding. They were very compassionate.

Have been going to them for 30 years. What I like most about them is the doctor himself, I think he’s fantastic. He’s quite good at diagnosing the problem. They’re a little pricey, but that doesn’t bother me.

Dr. Cooke was very thorough. The staff was nice, quick, professional - and all were concerned with the dog's best welfare. Dr. and staff also sensitive to pricing of medicines.
Dr. and staff made suggestions and made sure we had ALL of our questions answered.

Their kindness and professionalism stood out to me.  The staff is tremendous.  They have about five or six doctors on the staff which is good because you can always get in to see somebody and everyone of them is top core.

Both myself and the dogs were greeted in a friendly, courteous manner. Upon completion of the intake form, we waited just 5-6 minutes before being shown to an exam room. Once roomed, a Vet tech took data to create new client profiles. The Vet came in promptly and provided fast, friendly service and took the time to ask questions to get a thorough history on 2 new pets. The Vet listened carefully to my description of the history and health history for my 2 pets and asked if I had any concerns about the welfare of my pets. The entrance door and exit doors are separate for everyone's safety to reduce the chance of dogs interacting at the front desk while people are coming and going. Also, bills are paid in the exam rooms via computer so there are no pets milling around at the front desk. Again, client safety is no. 1 concern.

I would recommend them to anyone looking for a Vet for their pets in the southwest area of FL.

Really excellent. I thought that that was absolutely professional. He wasn't pushing extensive service that wouldn't have really helped the animal. He actually recommended against doing anything but keeping an eye on it. I was just totally impressed. They treated us very well. They were absolutely great. Definitely, we'd go back there. He spent a lot of time with us.

They are fine with that as well as giving me prescriptions as well. They are nice and it is pretty easy to get appointments. They got us in when I had a special problem. They were accommodating so it was good.

Great staff and very understanding doctor. Both cats happy!

I originally went in there with my dog for neutering. I have been going to South Trail for about 2 years. They are very good. They are conscientious and checkup on the animals after we bring them home.

My cat had been diagnosed with Diabetes 18 months earlier. He had gone from a very skinny, very sick boy to the cat we knew and loved, regaining weight, and his long glossy coat.
Dr Golden had explained in great detail what caused Diabetes, the medication required, and showed me how to test blood sugar and inject Insulin.
I had many questions, of course, and Dr Golden always returned my calls the same day or if she was not scheduled to work, the first day she was back.
When I adopt another furry friend, Dr Golden and the staff at South Trail Animal Hospital will be the first visit we make.

They are really good service and easy to get an appointment. They have several different doctors so I don't necessarily see the same doctor every time. That probably what makes it so easy to get in to see them.

I called to get a quote for removing a Mass from my dog and they required seeing him before giving a quote. Took him there and they were very professional, treated him and gave a quote for surgery. They appear to be very professional but was pricey.
Why the year my home was built has ANY bearing on a review for a VET is totally beyond me.

I do find that I sometimes have to wait a while, most often in the examination room--which is much better than being in the waiting room because my dog barks at all the other dogs. Since they are always willing to fit me in for an emergency, I assume they do as much for other patients too.
The exams are always thorough, and even though my dog is very excitable, they are willing to work with him and keep him calm.
If my pet was in for an illness, I always get a follow-up call to make sure he's ok. When I've been there for sadder occasions, I appreciate the condolence card that comes a few days later.

South Trail Animal Hospital has a friendly staff and the staff is very competent. The office environment is good.

We had a very good experience with them. The facility was very clean and the staff was very professional. They were not the cheapest but the technology they had was superior to some of the others.

Recently moved to area and was recommended to South Trail by a friend. Had all needed dogs' records from prior vets, plus information on just what boosters and other treatments were necessary. All three dogs are rescues and all are healthy -- none has ever had a significant illness. Arrived for visit on time; found the clinic clean and pleasant and the staff responsive. Had faxed information in advance so as not to have to do forms on day of visit, but still needed to do one page. Was kept waiting for a little while before being able to take first dog into an exam room (friend kept the others in waiting room). Did not get to see doctor for quite a while -- technician did all preliminary talking and work (would have been better if doctor had at least said hello at start). After doctor did come in, the exam was thorough and took a reasonable amount of time. The doctor stayed in the room from start to finish of the exams of both other dogs. Those dogs are younger and the exams seemed more cursory but were still done professionally and appropriately. After the exams, a technician gave each dog a soft chewable toy and went to prepare the bill. The bill was extremely high -- higher than it should have been based on my calling in advance to ask the price of various services. The toys, which had not been requested, were listed as being charged for (at $5.85 each) but then taken off at the end. There was a wholly unjustifiable $15 fee for disposal of biological materials -- other vets charge at most a couple of dollars for this (and it's questionable whether it is justified at all: it refers to needing to throw away needles, but that costs only pennies...if that much). The bill was higher by far than at previous vets' offices for comparable services. However, the professionalism and pleasantness of the staff are big pluses, and the quality of animal care seems high. Unfortunately, boarding costs are so high -- I was quoted over $50/night for the three dogs, and even more if they are kept in the same run (an arrangement that has always been less expensive than individual boarding at other vets' offices) -- that I cannot see using South Trail for boarding. But the facility seems very good for medical care, has a compassionate and interested staff, and appears well equipped to handle emergencies.

It went fine. I think they are very efficient, the doctors are very good and know what they are doing. The staff is very nice and they are efficient.
