Founded in 1981 by Steve Marino—who still serves as CEO and Chairman of the Board—Home-Tech has grown into a leader in home services throughout Southwest Florida. We had been members since 2001 and never used their services on our rental property. I called them recently to have them come out and perform electrical work, and they ended up charging me another $700 on top of my $700 membership to do the work. If I had to rate them I would give them an A in the past but after this most recent experience I would give them an F.

I have had an annual contract with them for around four years. Their price is great. They are punctual and always here within the time frame they give. Their personnel have been excellent. We have had nothing but positive experiences with them.

Our customers are very important to us and we do want to keep them. Home-Tech is an employee owned company and therefore each employee owner is vested and very interested in doing a great job for our customers. Service Agreement pricing is based on the ages of the appliances and air conditioning in the home. As the equipment ages, the pricing does increase. We do offer our customers the option to lock in their rate for 4 years and many choose to do so."

They do a good responsive job. We have a whole house appliance in the contract too. They also do plumbing and air conditioning annual contract. I highly recommend them. Their price is reasonable. I am very pleased with them.

I've used them in the past for my appliances and HVAC units. The repair to the dishwasher went well and he knew what he was doing. They were here within a couple of days. They do a good job and the techs call you with a three hour window and then call again when they're close to the appointment.

They have very reasonable pricing! They came out three times to repair a broken A/C unit. They also came out once to replace a fan in the microwave. They have been excellent, except one instance when the technician attempted to hook up 220V electricity to a 110V outlet. I would recommend their services.

We had been using another AC service for 10 years, and they recently serviced our AC, broke a part, and refused to take responsibility until we finally negotiated they would pay half.
So we were looking for a new service. We called Home-Tech because we thought we might want to get a service contract with them to cover AC, major appliances, plumbing, and electrical. We wanted them to do a service on our AC and give us a price for the yearly service contract. Before they came, we agreed to the yearly contract.
When the tech did come to do the system, he was professional and knowledgeable. He found he needed to replace coils, and do some major work on corrosion. When we asked what we owed, he said it was part of the service. The part he replaced was more than our yearly contract with them cost. Because this was a first visit, we thought we would surely have to pay for an existing problem. But no, they were true to their words and we are impressed by their integrity.
We look forward to having 7-day, 24 hour service.

They were/are helpful in selecting items and the prices they quoted me already included tax, delivery and installation. They have always arrived when they said they would (have service contract, they Installed, Nest thermostat, do maintenace/repair on air conditioner) they call day before to verify appointment or delivery time, courteous, answer all questions, and gave me information on appliances I did not even know I needed.

They went out of their way to obtain a new control board, which was on national back order from the manufacturer and they charged me an initial service call fee, but they did not charge this on the two subsequent visits because they were still working to resolve the original issue. They only charged me for the cost of parts.

It went well for the first few years. The last couple were a nightmare. Their service went down so they started gouging their existing customers. They added charges to us every time they would come out saying we had a premium appliance or and quot;that wasn't covered under your contractand quot;. Originally it covered everything in your house. The yearly service price had gone up double. Even after we completely tore down and remodeled our kitchen buying all new appliances from them, they wanted to charge us for their service at the old appliance rate. The final straw was when we had a problem with an air conditioner and they wanted $1500 to repair it or $5000 to replace it. I called another company and got it fixed for $150. It is still working well and has had no additional problems in almost 3 years. I don't trust them any more and wouldn't refer them to anyone!
A friend who had gone with them because of my referral when they were doing well also cancelled them shortly after I did.

They are good. They are responsive. We have a contract with them and if we have a problem, they generally show up that day within a few hours. The price of the contract depends on the ages of the appliances and air conditioner. Their prices are reasonable.

Not good at all!! The tech said ice maker was broken and took it out,Said it had striped the gears in Ice maker.because it just kept trying to make ice.But he did not see the it was leaking water from the fill tube. I saw it a couple hours later.We
called them and they came out the next day. and found out it was a leaking valve on refrigerator,which the first tech missed completely; The first tech talked us in to purchasing a service contract..and we thought we where covered. they came back and said no it would cost us 168 dollars...because it was a per existing condition. I throw away an ice maker that i donand quot;t think now was broken, just full of frozen water because of leak that was totally missed.They can not accept the fact that their tech missed thr whole problem. `USE THIS COMPANY AT OWN RISK!! THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF!!

The tech was very professional in his appearance and work habit. He assessed what he thought was the problem (bad relay switch) and 'repaired' it. Unfortunately, the tech had to make a return visit the next day since his repair uncovered a more serious problem (a bad compressor). Not only was the tech helpful in his suggestion on what to do next (new refrigerator or new compressor), he had the office call with more details about the options. We were so pleased with how they conducted themselves that we chose to not only purchase a new refrigerator through Home Tech but also a service agreement.
