The project went great! I was not aware of the innovations that had taken place since my pool was originally built. Austin and his father brought my pool into the 21st century. From the Italian porcelain mosaic waterline tile, the StoneScapes interior with Abolone Shell, to the black return fittings and main drain (not your standard white) the pool design would rival the likes of Versace himself. The deck was finished in Travertine (Scabos) including double bull nosed coping to match. When the job was completed I asked Austin if we could update the equipment that would be suitable to improve quality of water while reducing maintenance time and costs. I now have a multi-speed pump (so quite I can hardly hear it running), a two-phase filtration that includes a device called a Muti-Cyclone (reminds me of a Dyson vacuum for water) that pre-filters the water before going to my cartridge). I use to clean my filter ever two weeks. Now I can go 4 months. And to top it off I now have a salt system with ozone to treat the water. The pool water is now silky soft and truly suitable for drinking. Needless to say I'm very happy with my better than new pool. My only regret is that I did not do it sooner. And now that it is done, I'm using the pool more than I ever have. Staying home on the weekend has become the preferred choice. My friends are envious and I love it!
