Miguel came out a week prior and changed a board that was conflicting with Comcasts signals.  He was very helpful, but also offered to change out entire motor with keypad, and other accessories for about twice the price.  We went with the board only, but later decided to do the full overhaul.  They were very helpful and came back out to change the system and charged us the difference.  Gary and (I'm sorry but forgot his partners name) were both very professional and got the job done quickly.  There were some issues in what was included in the price, but they were easy to deal with and made everything right.

From all of the great reviews on this list I was very excited to find a company to work with.  When I called them to set up an appointment for an estimate the office staff were all very polite, courteous and professional.  They connected specifically to the person that was going to come out and do the estimate.  We needed the whole works right down to a new garage door itself.  The appointment was set for 2:00pm and I told him that I had a busy day just as he did (there was another appointment before mine).  2:00 came and went as did 3:00 without a call.  I called at 3:00 to cancel the appointment as I had other priorities scheduled.  They contacted Jason to see the hold up and they said he was still at his prior appointment and that he would call me in 5 - 10 minutes.  I waited until 3:35 and could wait no longer so I cancelled them completely.  I wouldn't have minded and I understand about being late but my time is just as valuable as theirs and a courtesy phone call would have been professional, but no phone call is not the kind of business that I give my hard earned money to.

I contacted Action on April 4th and desciribed that i needed a technician to fix my garage door opener.  They work on Saturday (a BIG plus, since i didnt have to take off from my work) and i made an appointment for between 9-11am on April 6th.  The person that made the appointment said it would likely be closer to 9am, since the tech only had one appointment prior to mine and she thought it would not take long.  I received a call from the technician, Jose, about 9:15am advising me he was about 20-25 minutes from the house.  i was not at the house at the time and i told Jose i would be there about the same time that he would arrive.  When i arrived, Jose introducted himself and quickly fixed the problem.  He offered to program the outside keypad and showed me how to set the password.  He then offered to program any vehicles that i had.  One vehicle is set up already to open garage doors, and he quickly had it programmed.  My other vehicle did not have such an option, so i told him i wanted to purchase a regular openor, which he set up.   The total charge was about $134.00.  Well worth the cost.  Would hire Action without question again.

Our garage door opener chain and cables were damaged and the door stopped working.  We called, and the next day Jose arrived to evaluate our problem.  The opener was 31 years old, and the unit is no longer made nor are parts available.  You could see the frayed cables, and we expected we would need a new system.  Jose went over various options, and we chose a Liftmaster Estate Series.  Jose fixed the door so that it would function until our replacement was completed. There was no charge for this service call.
We were delighted that he could come back the next day and replace the system. Jose with Jesus installed the system, and they explained everything well.  
Every interaction we had with Action Door was professional, punctual, and friendly.  We were very impressed and would use their services again and can recommend them to anyone who needs their services.

I purchased a home that had a garage door opener but had no remotes.  I purchased universal remotes from Lowes of Naples. I could not get the universal remotes I purchased from Lowes to operate my garage door even after calling the remote company directly and having them assist in the programming process.  I assured the many people that answered the company number that it was not operator error it was the remotes.  After unsuccessful attempts to get the remotes to program or stay programmed I decided to call Action for assistance.  There was a sticker from Action on the unit itself but I decided to contact them after reading the reviews here.
I called the office and was routed to the Naples  office for scheduling.  I spoke to the girl about what I needed to have done and she set me up with a service call the next day.  She said that the technician would call as he was on the way to the residence and that if I had any questions to please call back or the technician would be able to assist me during the service call.
The technician "Dennis" called on his way to my home.  He arrived at the earliest part of the service call window, which was perfect for me.
Dennis looked over the unit as I was explaining to him my situation and what I would like to have accomplished from his visit.
He secured the area above the garage door for safety and optimal operation of the unit.  He secured the wire above the unit which had fallen down.  He provided me two new remotes and programmed them as well.  He explained to me about the programming of the unit and remotes in case there was a power surge or loss of connection for any reason.  It was at that point I asked if additional remotes were able to be programmed since ideally I needed more than two remotes.  He suggested a keyless entry pad for ease and convenience.
 After thinking about the unit for a few minutes and having him go over the way the unit operated and the safety of the unit as well as it being exposed to the weather.  Based on his answers to my questions, I decided to go ahead and have him install it.
He then went over the programming of the keyless entry pad and the way it too could possibly need to be reset in the event of a power outage etc.  It was easy to learn how to use.  I couldn't be happier he had suggested it! Great idea! No extra remote to lose or to have to carry around.
Dennis was great! He was very explanatory of the service call and operation of units provided.  He was friendly and professional.  He did not make any mess nor did he leave any garbage behind. He was a pleasure to have at my home.  If given the choice I would highly recommend asking for him personally.
The company has its technicians supplied with Ipads so I was able to have my payment accepted, applied and emailed to me at the end of my service right from my garage.  A convenient and effortless service call in my mind.

Received three bids from different companies, Action was not the lowest, but the other company told me that Charlotte County required vents to be cut in the bottom of the door in order to relieve the water in case of a flood.  I found this odd, because it would defeat the impact rating of the door.  I called Charlotte Co. and was told that they would approve the permit without the vents cut in the door.  Therefore I decided to go with Action, as they seemed to know what the local and county permit requirements were.
 Showed up on  time, completed installing garage door, when finished they wiped down the whole door with cleaner, and did a really good job a caulking all around the trim.  Cleaned and swept floor and other areas where the drilled and used saw.  Very professional, spent 30 minutes or so, going over instructions and programming.

Garage door motor would run but the door would not go up or down.  So I checked Angies List and found Action Automatic Door. They gave a time frame when the Tech woud be out.  We explaned the problem and he quickly diagnosed the problem as a gear grinding.  He was right, the old plastic gear was ground to near nothing.  He had the part in his truck and he made the job look simple.  After he replaced the broken part he then tuned up the system and lubed the door joints and springs and adjusted the tension. Before he left he made sure everything was working to my satisfaction. I could not have asked for any better service. Johnathan was knowledgeable and fast! I recommend them for honest work, fast service and overall quality

Garage door stopped working and we called another company first. They did not respond within  2 hours so I checked Angies List and found Action Automatic Door. They has a Tech here within the hour. They quickly diagnosed my problem as a blown capacitor and fixed it quickly. Then they tuned up the system and lubed the door joints and springs and adjusted the tensioner. The thing that impressed me is that they actually checked their work before they left! Sounds simple but 
I could not have asked for any better service. The guys were knowledgeable and fast! I recommend them for honest work, fast service and overall quality.
