Suntech Air Conditioning Inc came out to my home for an emergency visit. The owner of this company was very nice and considerate, due to the the specific job that needed to be fixed he could not perform the service. The owner provided a service mechanic by the name Andre. Andre was at my home for a few hours, but was very thorough, professional, accommodating and courteous. He checked everything to make sure it was all fixed and handled properly. I could not be any happier with this company.

I bought the house is April 2012 and after a few months I noticed water in the garage. I thought there may be a leak somewhere with the pipe running down the wall in the garage but it was behind a sheet metal cover and so bought the big deal to get the unit looked at and ascertain the root cause. I decided not use this company because, after we went outside to look at the PVC pipe coming out of the house, he was picking at his bandaid and not looking at me the entire time while proceeding to tell me it could cost me approximately $750 because the coils should be cleaned. I don't trust people that can't look me in the eye. I decided to contact another company. Root cause of my issue: the PVC pipe coming through the wall to the outside of the house was too short and so most of the water was simply dripping back into the garage (I was collecting a full bucket of water approx every 12 hours). The other service provider installed new PVC, extending it out further from the house, wrapping it well with that foam insulation tubing, added an elbow and another piece of PVC to run along the ground, directing the water away from the house. They also removed that sheet metal cover in the garage to check the pipe running down the inside garage wall to verify no issue there, and once confirmed no issue, then re-attached it. No more water issue in my garage!

Everything went well.  The technicians arrived on time, were friendly and professional, and did a good job.  There was, however, some confusion about the job's pricing, but that was resolved satisfactorily.

I called Suntech when my A/C was freezing over and no longer cooling. Their customer service was great and they were to my home within hours.
A mechanic showed up and began looking at my unit. He told me that I had a freon leak and needed around 10 lbs of freon. I told the tech if I spent that much on freon, I wouldn't be able to afford any other potential repairs. He charged the unit with about 5 lbs of freon instead according the the bill. The unit still was not working, and he explained that I needed a new expansion valve. After installing the expansion valve, the unit began cooling again, and the tech cleaned up and left.
They worked with me on the bill, and the total was $574 at that point.
A few days later, the unit stopped cooling and was completely frozen over again. I called Suntech, and they promptly sent the same mechanic to take another look. He flushed the system but told me I was going to need a new compressor at around $1,400. He was able to get the unit cooling again but insisted there was nothing more I could do besides buying the new compressor.
This next bill was $88.
Several days later, the unit again was not working. I decided to call another company who a friend referred for a second opinion. The other company came out and did a thorough inspection. They said the issue was actually to do with the evaporator coils as they were deteriorated and rusted over. They explained that I did not need a new compressor, that the expansion valve that was replaced was not in good condition, and that my unit didn't even hold 10 lbs of freon (as opposed to what the tech told me).
Needless to say, I hired the other company, they put in new evaporator coils, replaced the expansion valve work, and I've had a flawless A/C unit running for almost two months now. All this for a fraction of the cost I was quoted by Suntech.
I'm not sure what to make of the whole situation but I was not satisfied with the work Suntech performed of the information they gave me. At the same time, no one is perfect, so maybe all this was just a miscalculation on their end.

I bought an offer from Angies List to have an air conditioning tune up from SunTech.  We are new to the area and wanted a professional opinion on the age and condition of the air conditioner that came with our home.  The Technician was prompt, described the adequacy of the air conditioner for the size of our home, and current condition.  We were pleased with his report and will consider calling SunTech for any future needs re: air conditioning in our home.

The technician emptied the pan and cleaned the line, which he said was
clogged. That process took almost an hour.  Then he tuned up the A/C and
completed an acid wash on the condenser.  He said that the condenser was
just dirty from the elements.  The tune up took about an hour also.  It
was a very hot day with some cloud cover
making it humid.  The technician spent the entire time on the roof with no break.
I think he did an outstanding job.

Tech arrived right on time.  Service was performed very quickly.  He did inspect and test the outside unit, but not sure he ever opened my air handler to inspect fan and coils.  It is a newer system - 4 yrs - so he may have anticiapted all would be ok.

I  was not home when Andre' returned to service orAir Condition Unit which is above ground.  Andre'  like before was right on time.  He thoroughly cleaned our drainage system for our Air Condition unit. He also added 5lbs of Freon for our Unit.  It's much cooler in my house now and our Unit is working just great.    THIS IS MY SECOND TIME USING SUN TECH AIR CONDITIONING, INC.          And as before I was VERY, VERY SATISFIED WITH THEIR WORK.                       Signed a very satisfied customer AGAIN,  Grace Stallworth-Papino

The person came on time and did the chech up of the unit on time as schedulled. He told me it was necesarry to change some parts to give to the ac some more life.
The job didn´t work. I knew it was an old unit but he told me it would still work and did the tune up and put a new parts in it which also charged me. At the end I had to buy a new unit anyway because it didn´t work. I would prefered he would told me that they couldn´t do anything and not charge me the 150 that make me throw this money to the trash. Anyway I had to buy a new unit one month later.

Still the persona was kind and cordial but the job didn´t work for me.

I contacted Suntech after seeing the deal on Angie's list for an A/C tune up. I contacted the company on Thursday afternoon and set up the appointment the following day between 12 and 2pm. Mark showed up around 1:40 pm. My husband was at the house waiting for him. Mark did not do any kind of tune up whatsoever. He basically looked at the a/c unit and said that it was working fine, then told my husband that we were a 1/2 pound low of freon and claimed to fill the unit up. He also told us that the coils inside the a/c unit were dirty and could use a cleaning which would cost $385. Mark then left about fifteen minutes after arriving. He never opened the a/c unit to actually inspect inside. Approximately two hours after Mark left, our a/c unit quit working. My husband and I returned from dinner and noticed it was hot inside the house. We checked the unit outside and found that the fan was not working. My husband contacted Mark and left a message. In the mean time, we found an a/c contractor who happened to be working down the street, Cooling Experts. The tech from Cooling Experts, Steve, came over and tested the unit. He immediately was able to tell us the fan motor had quit working on the unit. Steve also told us that the outside unit coils were incredibly dirty and should have been cleaned by Mark when he did the a/c tune up. When Mark was at the house he never even took the panel off of the a/c unit. Needless to say, Steve from Cooling Experts was able to fix our problem by the next day, which was a Saturday. He didn't overcharge us and even cleaned the coils that Mark should have cleaned while he was here. Steve also offered to check the coils Mark said were dirty just for a second opinion. Steve checked the coils and said they were very clean. Apparently Mark thought he would try to rip us off by charging us $385 to clean coils that were not dirty. I am extremely dissatisfied with SunTech air, as I had to spend about 12 hours in the Florida heat because of their incompetence. Please do not use this company!!!

I purchased the A/C Tune-Up from Angie's Big Deal offer.  I expected a bit more.  I had checked on google for what to expect in an A/C tune-up to get an idea.My A/C is about 4 years old and according to Sun Tech (Mart), it is running really well.  The drain line was clogged and he tried to unclog it but was unsuccessful.  He suggested I buy something like Drano to unclog the pipe and if that didn't do it to run the water hose into the line and force the water through.  He came inside, opened up the return, used his flashlight to see the coils, and said they were clean.  I asked if he was going to open up the unit to inspect the coils and he said it was not necessary.  I don't know, but I found it hard to believe that after 4 years of running the A/C and Heat, that those coils would be clean; but I am not a professional.  The drain pan was not touched.  I asked about the algae tabs but did not follow-up; I expected the algae tabs would be replaced.Mart is a very nice person, but I will not use this company again.  I expected that things would be opened up, cleaned, - tuned up.

I called Suntech Air Conditioning on Monday, May 21, 2012 to schedule the appointment for the $39 A/C Tune-Up, Safety Inspection and up to 2 lbs of Freon if needed.  The appointment was not scheduled until Thursday, May 24, 2012.  They indicated that they were very busy.  On Thursday, May 24, 2012, they called to say they must postpone until Friday, May 25, 2012 due to rain.  I called a different company and they were there within an hour to do what was needed.  I did receive my refund check promptly the following week.
