It DIDN'T!! I was contacted by Cici , who ASSURED me her price was accurate and actually went to great length in explaining the "board" where a bid could be made on a transport. When I asked her why her quote was so low ($675 vs. an average of $800) she told me the $800 quotes were trying to take advantage of me. Well I gave her a deposit and a pick up date for a week later. When I hadn't heard back in a week, the DAY BEFORE the pick up she told me NO ONE TOOK THE BID and I'd have to try $900-$1000 !!!! I was left with no pick up and had to fly back to FL !!! I was lucky enough to have kept the other bids and lined something up with Edwin ( a real pro) with Nationwide Transport Services who quoted a guaranteed price and delivered the car ( see my review)

It went well. They were very professional.

On picking the vehicle up in Maryland, I had all kinds of problems with where their truck would go in order to obtain the vehicle. I couldn't park the vehicle in the airport surface lots because their trucks couldn't get in it easily and had to park it, unlocked with the keys under the floor mat, in the parking lot of a shopping center in a not so good neighborhood. When the vehicle arrived in Denver, they required the balance of their fee to be paid in cash. I was in training for my new job on this day and they wouldn't bring the car to my office building because they didn't like having to drive in a downtown location so I had to run to an auto repair shop (which I was going to bring the car in for service at some point), give them $800 IN CASH, and ask them to receive my vehicle from this company. While my car was not damaged and the delivery timeframe was good, I had too many headaches/problems with pick up and drop off locations that I would never again use this company for my transporting needs. In fact, I didn't even tip the driver. I was really annoyed with the incompetence. I mean, really, you haul vehicles for a living and you're gonna be scared to drive down a downtown street? It was all about making it convenient for THEM, not their customer.

Quoting process was good. Very fast response. Company gave me an estimated timeframe. They called and left a message the day before the work. I had hoped they would have given me a little more notice. I was not available that day and when I called they gladly set another date. The work was done fast and efficiently. They were carefull not to impact the lawn or my neighbors yards. They cleaned up very thoroughly. The office staff, workers and managers were all friendly and professional. The price was more than I had expected but the results offset the cost.

I like that they told me upfront everything, their whole process. The other companies that I got quotes from told me a little bit but they didn't go into detail they way they did. They actually called me and told me, the other just sent a quote an email quote and that made a difference as well as the way as they work as brokers. I really liked that. The pricing was better than the others. I think they were in the middle but I just liked the service that they had given me at that point. My car was maybe 2 days late getting here but that was okay. It got here safe and sound. They did a good job and they stayed in contact with me.

Understood and followed up on all details and time frame of moving the car. Easy.

I was pleasantly surprised that I had chosen the right company to handle the job. My initial intention was to drive the car myself, as I was concerned about choosing the wrong company which could lead to my property being damaged, etc. Too many bad players in this field, but Jim with MAT won my business with his professionalism and integrity. I felt safe leaving my property in Jim's hands. Jim with MAT has been added to my phones directory for next time I need his service.

Excellent service start to finish

The service turned out just fine. There were some issues while getting the car here but the company and the driver maintained really good communication.

I had absolutely no problems whatsoever. Everything worked out fine.

I sent out and recieved 3 quotes based on Angie's List reviews. I chose Parker based on user comments. All went well, read my comments on Parker, until I get an email asking if I had signed a contract with Mercury and paid with a credit card. Apparently, someone at Mercury had contacted Parker and claimed my business after the car was already delivered by Parker. Someone at Mercury lied, and I dont enjoy being thrust into the midst of this baseless claim, I have better things to do with my life. I dont know if this is standard company policy or just a rouge individual at Mercury, but I sure am glad I did not use them, and am very glad I went with Parker, Joanne is a wonderful person to work with.

Mercury Auto Transport was fine and got the job done. The individual who I dealt with was OK, but lacked a little professionalism, and I think he was young, but they got the job done.

The experience was ok. He advised us that they would be able to deliver the car in the evening but the driver advised that he couldn't do that. They did keep in touch with us so we knew when they would deliver the car but we were scrambling to get someone to be home to sign for the car.

It was terrible. Made all kinds of promises and never met a single one.

My experience with Roman of Mercury Auto Transport was first class. I had never shipped a car before and was very gun shy about the entire industry due to the number of negative postings I had read. Roman sent me an email with step by step expectations that greatly simplified the process for me. Once set up, I received reminders and updates in a timely manner. The follow up was excellent. My car arrived early and in perfect condition. The driver was polite and professional. I would not hesitate to use Mercury again.

The delivery was fine, but there were issues with communication. I could not get in touch with them easily and the driver could not speak English very well, and did not understand some instrucitons.

They didn't get back to me when I was trying to get a date for the move. It was getting frustrating because I agreed with them, and they couldn't give me a date. Once they gave me a date, they told me it wasn't final. They told me the driver would call me, and he never did. Once they picked up my car, everything was fine.

They simply contract with private carriers. So they actually go out and find carriers. They charge a commission for the carrier to the customer and then we pay the carrier. So I think their commission was maybe 200-250 of the thousand that we paid. I will say that one of the cars had a pretty good size scratch that was caused (in my opinion) when it was moved onto the carrier. I actually spoke with the gentleman at Mercury prior to because I had gotten on line and read about these auto transport companies out there. You really have to be careful. He the gentlemen I spoke with to assured me the fact that is he only dealt with very reputable auto transport companies and carriers that he was familiar with. As it resulted there ended up being probably a good foot scratch in the car. So were not very happy with that. Was it this guys fault? Probably not but it was something we were concerned about. The carrier swore that he didn't cause it but it was fresh and it was the same color as the carrier which was blue and the car was white. So it was frustrating. It was one of those things that we kind of though might happen and it did.

Everything went pretty smoothly, and they were very responsive. I really don't have anything to compare their prices to. I would use them again.

I recently shipped my car across the country and initially went with Mercury. I shopped multiple carriers and Mercury came in the lowest and seemed to have a good reputation. I soon realized this was not the case at all. Mercury acts as a broker, like many transportation companies. The reason they came in lower than most other carriers is because of pure lack of honesty. When I signed with them (a contract that says you will use soley them and no one else) I soon realized that if I actually wanted my car shipped I would have to dramatically have to increase my price. After multiple conversations with representatives they blamed me for everything saying that I needed to raise the price when they would come to me for offers that were significantly higher than the quotes I received and said I was being difficult. The customer service was one of the worst experiences I had. After over a month of nothing happening expect harsh conversations with the company, I finally was able to break my contract and choose another carrier. I did not end up shipping through this company and cannot speak on the actual transportation. I want to give a heads up that if you are shopping multiple carriers and Mercury happens to be the lowest, please be aware that you will expect to pay MUCH more than quoted if you actually want your vehicle moved My recommendation is to go through a company that actually performs the shipping and does not just act as a broker....even if it costs a bit more.

Overall we were happy with Mercury Transport. The only negative thing in our experience was that the broker did not return our calls or texts when we were trying to find out when the cars would be picked up. After numerous calls on our part, he finally returned the call and gave us a date. However, when we called to find out when the cars would be delivered, the broker and the driver called us promptly and communicated clearly where the cars were and when we could expect them. Besides that one small negative stated above, Mercury Auto Transport was punctual, professional and delivered our 2 cars for a good price. The driver was a great. He was on-time with both pick-up and drop-off. He was very friendly and professional. We paid him exactly the amount we were quoted; no dirty dealings. We would recommend them.

Once I found Mercury Auto Transport on Angie's list, my husband spoke to Jim Gozde on 5/14/12 and selected Mercury to transport his Mustang. Jim assigned a transporter and vehicle was picked up on 5/15/12 and delivered on 5/19/12. My husband was kept apprised of where vehicle was and approximate date and time of delivery. My husband had to have a three hour advance notice since he was working out of town. Fortunately he was home when driver called and advised his current location. We were able to meet driver Saturday evening at a mall close to our home.

They did not give the carrier we asked for. We were very specific on how we wanted the cars shipped. They said that they had an open transport which was not what we wanted. We don’t know if they even carry those kinds of things but if they hired or subcontracted those kinds of companies they should have told us. We would have moved on. We probably won’t go through Mercury again. The price was inexpensive but that was not the problem. In order to ship two very good cars we would have paid twice the price to get what we wanted and we told him that but he wouldn’t listen. They don’t hear what we wanted. They kept us waiting for weeks and weeks and weeks and they didn’t give us what we wanted.

Auto picked up on 5/13/12 and delivered to Maine on 5/18/12. Jim at Mercury Auto Transport was great to deal with and kept me informed.
