Company kept me up to date with permitting status, HOA application status, and job commencement. Installation day Chris and Cory worked non stop to get job done. Excellent job

Use this company to install accordion shutters in early May, 2018 at my parents' home in Davie. Excellent service and highly recommended. Installer Chuck and his helper work for two days under hot sun to get the job done. I don't have to rush over to put up heavy shutters for my folks anymore next time a hurricane approaches.

I’ve worked with dozens and dozens of service providers here in South Florida over the course of the last 20 years and multiple properties I’ve improved. Dependable Shutter & Glass has proven themselves to be in a class of their own when it comes to the way they treat their prospects and customers. It began from their first impression with me in a local Homes magazine ad. It wasn’t the typical picture of a window or shutters with some dollar price or claim of being “the best”. Their ads really speak to who they are as a company… a family. They make you feel like a part of their family from the first meeting. Their Sales Rep, Rob Frye arrived on time and took a highly consultative approach to helping me determine whether impact glass or accordion shutters were the better return on my investment. Before we even spoke about product, he told us about the history of the company, discussed the advertising campaign at length and then we spoke openly and honestly about my needs, my budget and my desires. It was only after a dialogue that lasted about 30-40 minutes that he began to “pitch” me and lay out each option. As a sales professional myself I appreciated Rob taking the time to listen to my needs before just TELLING me what he thought I might need. Anyone else who just shows up and throws up (and I’ve dealt with tons of them) is missing out on how to win a customer FOR LIFE. I ended up choosing Dependable over 4 other providers. Their quote was in the middle of the pack price-wise and others offered the same or similar product, however it was the interaction with Rob and the fact that Wayne, the company owner, hand delivered the contracts and sat with me to review them while reiterating the same stories about their reputation and focus on customer satisfaction was what gave me reassurance that I had made the right choice. Notice how they don’t hide from any neutral/negative reviews here and are looking to make things right? Product is only half the story, service is the bigger more impressionable part of reviewing any provider. I had no fewer than 50 email exchanges with the Dependable team over the course of about two months from signing to job completion. They kept me advised on the status of the permits, the arrival and delays on materials and generally checked in with me about every other day during the install to give me an opportunity to share feedback along the way. The install team arrived on time EVERY SINGLE DAY and treated my home quite frankly, better than I do. They laid plastic throughout any work/traffic areas and at all times throughout the day were picking up their mess as they went. No chunks out of the walls or surrounds, no construction debris laying around in the driveway or back-yard and everything done better than code. Every night they swept up and packed up and it looked as though nobody had been working there at all. Jairo, the jobsite manager, orchestrated the teams and they meticulously removed and replaced all the doors and windows not once showing any hesitancy. It was pretty impressive to see. Over the course of a week and a half this team came and went and installed everything perfectly. Inspection happened with no issue and I have to admit, while it was a tough pill to swallow to spend significant dollars to have impact glass installed, the Dependable team somehow made it just a little less painful to stroke a check knowing I had received such a tremendous experience in working with them. Please take my above summary as my glowing recommendation on Wayne Thompson, Rob Frye and the entire Dependable Shutter and Glass team. They are a trusted service provider to me and will most certainly get my business again if the need arises. I encourage you to give them a chance to win your business like they did mine.

Chuck came to do my annual maintenance and was very helpful beyond the expected service. As all my shutters are on the second story a lot of effort is required to move the ladder around and properly lubricate and check each window. Chuck said mine were obviously well-maintained (which has been done throughout the years by his company), but when I told him how I’ve struggled with some of the locks and gave up and just used the pins, he showed me something no one had ever shared before - that each end fits into a narrow channel from top to bottom and magically clicks shut making the closure of the lock easy. I appreciated being made aware of this as I had handwritten instructions saved from the initial installation, but no mention of this little secret. Additionally, he told me that the corner window (the only one which cannot be closed from inside) should be pinned from the left first, then pinned on the right and locked last, which is opposite all the others. It worked like a charm. Many thanks - hoping not to have any use for the hurricane shutters this year!

The overall end result was excellent. The process was very stressful as a homeowner, but The staff was excellent in helping me with whatever I needed when I called. The technicians were very responsible and punctual. Staff was great with helping me with a follow up issue when I needed to remove shutters. Special thanks to Surita, Nina and Ian!!!

I am very impressed with this company. Everyone from the salesman, to the office workers to the installers were excellent. I had all the openings of my home redone and all the installers (Tommy, David, Jairo, Denny, and Chuck) did it with no mess at all. Everyone arrived on scheduled day and worked diligently and professionally. The windows/sliders/front door are excellent. My home is sound proof, theft proof, and hurricane proof. The customer service of this business is excellent and always available to answer any question of mine. I recommend this company if you're planning to get impact windows the glass themselves are great quality.

I recently purchased a condo in Hallandale Beach in an older building and the apartment already had hurricane shutters installed. Being proactive and not wanting to wait until hurricane season I scheduled maintenance appointment for today. It turned out that these shutters had not been serviced in ages and many of the wheels on top were broken and need to be replaced. Eisman who did the lubrication and basic maintenance today was extremely professional and explained everything that he was doing and also what follow-up work was needed to repair the broken parts. I was impressed with his professionalism and would ask for him again for future visits.

Called DS&G in morning and they sent out a repairman by early afternoon. Great service. Repairman Mr. EISMAN was knowledgeable and solved problem within a very reasonable amount of time. I recommend this company for any shutter need.

Impact Windows and door were installed on my home. The project took two days for the installation and the technicans were very polite, considerate, and were careful to protect my furnishings. The office staff, especially Paula was always available to answer questions and assist me through the process. I appreciate Mauricio's knowlege of the details in seeing the project to completion. I am very satisfied with my new windows, they are quiet and I feel safe!
