I think they did a very good job all the way through. I had had problems with my air conditioner not working. They came out like 4 or 5 times to try to keep it working, it was on it's last legs. We were trying to put a new roof on our building, and we were trying to keep it going and they were able to keep it going for a while. They never even charged me for those visits. They kept me going and then when we decided this is finally it we have gotta get a new one. They were out here put it all in and did a great job. They've got a program where they add their own filters that you can purchase and they fit perfectly in there. It was just a real good experience. When they came out to check on the unit I said it was a little loud, and they tuned it down some. They were able to lower it and so it runs better now. They have just been very responsive and very nice people to work with.

They are fine. I have no problem with them at all. They keep up on my maintenance. This is the 2nd one that I had installed by them. The first one lasted 11 years. They are very good. Pricing was pretty good. What they did was that there’s a financial service through where I got my air conditioner from so I was able to get on to that plan. When they had said about installing a new air conditioner, I said I don’t have the money right now and they said they have an instalment plan and that’s how I got it. The service was fine. They were here the day before when we were supposed to have the hurricane and were supposed to be horrible and he had pulled his men off of a job to come in to install my air plus he knew I’m elderly and the whole bit. They are very good. Even when they come to do my maintenance, they are very, very respectful and they are very clean. They put their little booties on. They are very great.

Randy was dispatched on a Sunday afternoon to service our unit.  We selected the company because they left their information on our fridge, thermostat and unit outside.  He was professional and on time.  After assessing the problem, he was able to replace a capacitor and cleaned our coils. The unit was working fine until the following morning when it was blowing hot air.  When I emailed the company that there was still an issue, the owner replied as follows:  "The unit needs to be replaced. The condenser coil cannot dissipate the heat and is causing the unit to overheat. Would you like us to call your Landlord?"  Our landlord dispatched another AC technician from a company they had previously used who came out and fixed our unit.  According to the second technician, Ambassador may have accidentally left open the valve stem at the suction line and leaked out all of the Freon from our unit, which is why it was then blowing hot air again.  The second technician then had to fill the unit, costing us an additional bill of several hundred dollars.  Ultimately, when we contacted Ambassador about a potential refund, Andy and Tina were very responsive, polite, and understanding and did refund $100 from their invoice due to the inconvenience. A small oversight did, however, cost us additional fees and another day of no air conditioning.   In the future I would recommend calling out the same company when these issues arise.  If Ambassador had done the subsequent service call, perhaps we could have avoided the need for a refund or additional bills.

"The review from this customer is very unfortunate. We were told that another company came out and claimed that the refrigerant in the unit leaked out and we were to blame as the cause of the leak. I don't know if this was the case because we did not return, but if any mistake was made we would have taken care of the problem. The repair made on Sunday evening was not related to freon and due to the inefficiency of the unit I asked if we should contact the landlord to submit a quote for replacement. I have taken them at their word and adjusted the bill by 100.00 for the inconvenience."

I contacted Ambassador Air to give me a quote for a change out of A/C. The gentleman, Jay, came out and was very patient with me and answered all my questions thoroughly. He then sent a estimate over a few days later for me to look over. The estimate was through and very detailed. I highly recommend them because of the detailed estimate.

I have been doing business with a different AC company since 1998. I was displeased with the price they quoted me on a new system for a 5 ton unit. There was no attempt to do any kind of scientific assessment of what the house really needed. We went with a five ton unit in 1998 because the house wasn't cooling efficiently. Back then is when that company should have suggested new ducting, but they didn't.
I called Ambassador out of the blue for a quote and they sent Jay to my home within two hours. He was knowledgeable and insisted on doing a computerized air flow assessment of the house (built in 1972) before settling on a unit or installing anything. Turns out that my house did not need a 5 ton unit, it needs a 4 ton unit. This saved me quite a bit of money. I also knew that I needed new ducting and decided to do that at this time. I was completely satisfied with the quality and extent of the work done on the new ducting -- it's a whole different design from what was there from 1972, and the whole house is evenly cooled now with no hot rooms (this was one of the problems). So we have a smaller A/C unit, with a higher seer rating which cost less money and will lower electric bills, and we have better cooling. I will not do business with anyone other than Ambassador from now on.

I called at about 5pm 5/23/2013 and they were able to send someone out first thing in the morning on 5/24/2013. They fixed the issue by early afternoon, we had a clogged pipe and the drain pan needed clearing too.
I purchased the maintenance plan for $180, which is a fairly good price (a little higher than others), but then I had to pay a $65 callout fee too.
I had heard of Ambassador from a friend, and had gotten an estimate on a different property a few weeks ago and Tina and Jay were really professional and responsive, so I used them for this service.
The only downside to me, was that I have used other companies in the past (who also did good work) who would apply the diagnostic/call out charge to your service fees if you had work done, and this was not the case with Ambassador. I thought it was (apparently I confused that issue) and in all honesty, I would have stuck with Air Around the Clock who has been servicing my properties for years with good results, to avoid that extra fee.
But, I felt I would get more personal service from Ambassador so I gave them this opportunity.
The only other disappointing issue, was when I got home and saw the receipt, there were some recommendations (I'm guessing) that were outlined and the person I spoke to (either Sam or Curt, I cannot recall now) never mentioned these recommendations when we spoke on the phone.
Plus there were other things listed on the receipt related to the maintenance that I had no idea what they were, so it would have been nice to also have this explained to me. Also I was supposed to receive a receipt showing my payment via email but I never got that (minor detail, but still...when someone tries to sell me that they are better than other companies b/c of the personal service and this gets dropped, it makes a difference to me).
That is why I'm giving this company a B overall--everything should be explained in detail. They were very nice and professional, and they did fix the problem but I would probably call ATC in the future once my maintenance contract is up because I would not want to pay the extra $65 every time I need service.

UPDATE 4/23/2014 - I received a call last week from the owner, Andy, regarding this review. He was very nice and expressed that he was sorry that we had any issues, but...calling me nearly a year later? Wow. I guess better late than never? But I still went back to Air Around the Clock for a recent issue I had. At least Andy reminded me that I have a maintenance contract with this company, good to know before it expires next month as I had honestly completely forgotten. Would be nice to get a notice or reminder about that (which I did suggest to Andy).

Andy Keith and his entire staff were a pleasure to work with. Andy came out and did a thorough analysis of my home. He asked questions about what my needs were and any problems we were having in our home regarding cooling, humidity, etc. He was very detailed in explaining everything in a way a lay person could understand. His was the final of six estimates I received.

Along with performing a load calculation analysis and sharing the results, he sent me a complete estimate of two units. He did not try and force me to buy a specific unit or brand, as many other contractors did, but gave me options which allowed me to research and make an informed decision.

I called him several times on the phone and left a message. He called me back promptly and was happy to answer all of my questions. At no time did he make me feel like I was bothering him. Once all my questions were answered and I chose the unit I wanted, we scheduled the install for the next week.

Ambassador's installers, Steve and Bo arrived promptly and worked efficiently and neatly. They spent the better part of the entire day working and checking to make sure everything was done correctly. My air handler had to be installed in a very tight spot in the garage and they did an excellent job working in such tight quarters. They were very conscientious. At one point near the end of the job, Steve was sweeping up the garage. I offered to help, at which point he said not to worry about it, that they would take care of everything.

Andy and Ambassador's office staff, Tina and Jody, kept on top of things throughout the entire process, from purchase, to installation, and through inspection. Overall I was very happy with their service and quality and would be happy to recommend them to my friends and family.

They were recommended by friends and were competetive w/ large companies on their estimate. They showed up on time, were clean, professional and finished when promised. Andy also sent a team back by a day or so after the install to make any adjustments to air flow etc..I'm very happy with the work they did and would highly recommend them.

It was a service call and I did not have to pay anything. They are honest and good people. They explain exactly what they're going to do. They were very prompt in their response and were very quick to come up. They cover their shoes and also clean up after themselves. I think they are fantastic. I cannot say enough about their service. They don't besiege us with phone calls constantly like some of the other providers do. They also don't push us to have a contract with them. They are not exactly cheap, but I think they are middle-of-the-road when it comes to pricing. I pay them an amount that I consider to be decent, and I am satisfied with what I pay. Their service is accurate and good. I might find a cheaper provider, but I don't know if I would get the same kind of workmanship, honesty, and promptness. I will stick with them, and I recommend them.

This company is very professional.They explained everything precisely.The work was done correctly. I chose them not knowing who to call as I was not on Angies list at that point. I was taking a big chance but didn't have any recommends from anyone. I liked how they worded their advertisement in the Yellow Pages. They didn't have to come back to correct any work. They also came by at night after hours to drop off the filter I needed. I appreciated that.They ordered for me the correct size of filters I needed as I was not using the correct size, and these came very quickly. They called me back after several days to ask how everything was.
