"Hi [Member Name Removed], I'm sorry you feel disappointed in the service. However, I personally spoke to you and explained everything to you clearly. I have your call sheet. You called in at exactly 9:00 am on 12/11/18. I asked you how long its been since the last pump out and you told me about 5-7 years as I noted. I explained pressure washing to you due to how long its been. I quoted you $295/1000 gallons and $250 for pressure washing. You told me your situation about coming to an agreement with your employer about not getting a raise in exchange for health insurance about 10 years ago. It has nothing to due with the work we performed, but I clearly remember the conversation. I told you the tank may not be able to be pumped without pressure washing, if the tank has solidified. The septic system functions at what is called operating level. The septic system is full of liquid within a few days to a week after service. Once the tank fills up the liquid begins draining out to the drainfield portion of the system. You were having issues/smells with your system because the tank was filled with solid waste. There was no more room in your system to have the liquid pass through it and out to your drainfield so it begins to backup. Technically we can pump liquid out of a tank as long as the access is 4 inches, which is the size of the hose we use. The hose is not very flexible at all, as it needs to be thick and strong enough to withstand the pressure from the vacuum. We cannot stick the hose through an access point and somehow move it to the other side of the tank. The smallest size tank is going to be about 8 feet in length. The only way to remove all of the solid waste would be to stick the pressure wand into the tank, blast the waste from the opposing side so the hose can suck it out. 9 inches gives us more than enough room to perform this service. Technically, we could also dig up multiple access points (if possible), but that would cost much more in labor and take longer to get your system up and running. Your neighbor who used us on 4/25/17, had his tank pressure cleaned. I know this because when he called saying he had never heard of the service, I pulled his account from the caller ID. I had also had his attached signed receipt scanned into the system as we do with every customer. It also happened to be the same technician to perform both your service and your neighbors. You called in at exactly 9:00 am and your call was sent to our technician at exactly 11:41 am. I have the photo of your call sheet in the text messages to my tech with him confirming he received. I also have it on our call log. I did tell you we should be able to have someone there within two hours from now. I do apologize for the slight delay, but in our business there are numerous unexpected issues to be encountered that can slow down our day. However, everything we told you and explained was accurate. I would recommend calling the Health Department if you want any further clarification. Best regards, Bailey Burgun"
