Bad experience to say the least!!. Original consultant sent out was quite pleasant and appeared very competent. He addressed the list of setting changes I needed which unfortunately did not function as requested after his first visit. His second visit was to replace and upgrade the RAM memory and solid state hard drive (SSD). He had the RAM memory upgrade with him but SSD was not with him and he had to re-order it and come back yet a different time. Then the fun started!
I essentially was bait and switched that the $200 SSD I agreed to was not available at their supplier so now I had to buy a $275 one which by the way sold online for $199. They then made appointments to install it and continued to cancel or never show up. Then I am told the consultant was supposedly in a hospital somewhere which I have never been able to confirm. The Director of the business, Courtney Crine, was very quick to interact with me when they were actively showing up but when I complained that I was being left high and dry with no SSD and no correction of the errors made the first time they visited, she went radio silent and did not or would not address/answer my emails. Luckily a delightful woman named Toni Clark who was an Assistant Director got on the case an arranged for a new consultant from the Orlando area to come to the house on 10/7/14 to install a new SSD and rectify the problems created during the first visit.
The new IT consultant showed up yesterday with yet another different SSD and proceeded to replace my current one and install and set-up the new one. The original estimate from Exclusive Technology Consultants stated the installation and set-up process was at no charge if the SSD was purchased through them. It was supposed to take 60-90 minutes. This new IT consultant was at my home for 6.5 hours yesterday and could not figure out how to get it installed properly and left my home after 5PM without a successful installation and re-installed my old SSD with a comment that it "should" work OK until he can get back to try to re-install the new SSD once again.
This will not happen since I cannot afford to have someone take up another 4-6 hours out of my day to attempt to do this again. I have no confidence this will be done properly after the problems I have had with this company. Additionally I lost quite a bit of money being home what ended up all day for an unsuccessful attempt to correct the computer and now they want to come over again tomorrow and try this again and I am supposed to be prepared to stay home another day for this and lose another day of income?
I would be very, very leery about using Exclusive Technology Consulting Inc. after this frustrating and incomplete experience. When you hire a computer consultant, you need technically proficient, timely and reliable service, all of which were lacking here to say the least. The client's time has value and clearly the consultants provided have delivered little of the desired results I was interested in and wasted a lot of my time while costing me my income with no clear indication that the work will be completed in a correctly functioning in a reliable manner. Time to cut my losses and move on.
"Unfortunately, we did have some bad luck with getting the necessary part for this client and we are truly sorry what he went through. We are working on reaching out to him and offering some free service, perhaps a pick up and drop off, free of charge, to try and help remedy the situation. We always want our clients to be 100% satisfied and we will do anything within our powers to right a wrong situation. We hope that this client understands that we will work with him until this is 100% resolved and he is happy."
