I wish to make it clear that in "updating" my original review about Exclusive Consulting, I have left the paragraph above entitled " What did the provider do?" unchanged from my original review as it defines the reason for the initial bad review.

I set my appointment up on the phone with a woman, Christine. It was her 'too casual' attitude and behavior that prompted me to write the poor review. She is no longer with the company and that speaks volumes to the positive things I now can express. I never had a technician show up at my house initially because, as I wrote above, I was told by the woman that he had been in a bad car accident. That was it. She left me believing she'd get back to me as to when someone would be able to come to my house and fix my computer. I never heard from her again.

I do believe in giving people second chances and because of the "A" rating Angie's List has for Exclusive Consulting, I chose to set up another appointment. WOW, what a difference! The gentleman with whom I spoke with was courteous, amicable and very accommodating. An appointment was made for the following week. The tech, Ryan, called me to tell me he was on his way. That is such a positive, 'three thumbs up' move on his part. I wish all technicians in all fields of business would call before they show up on my doorstep. It's something so small that contributes to the rating I give when reviewing a company's professionalism. Just because an appointment time is set, one never knows about traffic, let alone where my appointment fits in with the time completing a previous appointment. Getting a phone call before coming gives Ryan an A+ for how he treats his customers and their time as well. He worked the full two hours on the job. He completed each assigned task and was gone almost as quickly as he arrived. He returned the following week with a back up machine so there would be no way I'd lose anything should the computer crash. One of those annoying things I'd think about all the time but not do anything about.  I could not be happier giving this company another opportunity.  It really is amazing how the incompetence of just one employee can affect the overall opinion of the company as a whole. 

Thank you so much for all your help to Mark-the voice behind the gentleman with whom I spoke initially to set up the appointment  and to Ryan, who completed his job at my home. I won't go anywhere else for help in the future with my computer.

Noel showed up for the job on a timely basis, went directly to work on the computer he was very helpful with any questions that needed to be answered. II feel very comfortable with him in my home and found him to be very respectful. I would most definitely recommend this company and employee Noel Barcellos to my friends associates. Thank you. DC

It took him more than two hours to clean it up. I am very pleased and I will call them in the future if I have anymore trouble. They are very good at what they do. In a time when it is hard to find honest people this company is worth calling.

It went just fine.

They only came out once, but they do the rest of the services remotely. I wish I would have had more time to talk to them this time around, but I like the guy that came out originally.

They were very prompt-called about 15 minutes before showing up and then arrived on time each time.  I appreciate that so much.  Were knowledgeable and courteous.  Seemed to understand the problems and fixed everything in a timely manner.  I would use them again!

They do not service my area. The deal specified that the work could be done onsite, but the company said they would only assist me remotely.

They had no one available to perform the service.

I purchased the Angie's list special for 2 hours of PC onsite repair or tune-up but was told that the technician was on vacation. I was asked to describe the issues I was having & was informed that they could take care of the problem remotely & was instructed to call Toni when I got home. When I called Toni she was very nice but was not available to help me. She offered to contact another technician to help me that evening and Ryan called me minutes later (this was around 5:30PM). It took Ryan over an hour to gain remote access to my computer & then another 3 hours to run all the scans he felt would get my PC clean of the viruses affecting it. Several times I noticed he was downloading some files to my PC & was told that he could not access the anti-malware programs from the internet, so he was dowloading the programs from his computer. As I watched throughout the night what was going on with my computer & noticed that he was not able to download the updated definitions for the malware detection program from the internet. It was after 9PM when Ryan called to tell me that he would still be working a bit longer but the good news was that the PC had been infected with numerous viruses but was now clean & running much better. The next day, my PC was even worse than before & was running even slower. I called a colleague of mine whose husband does some computer work on the side & arranged to drop off my computer for him to look at & see what he could do. I contacted Courtney Crine from Exclusive Technology to let him know how unhappy I was with the service & he had Toni call me. They offered to get their out of town technician to my house to help me with the PC & voided all the extra charges from my credit card (I was never given the total amount of the charges).  This is why I gave them an "A" in professionalism.  I told them that I had already contacted someone else & would let them know what happened. Luckily my colleague's husband was able to fix my computer. He found numerous viruses on my computer, including one or more that had affected my anti-virus program (Norton), which he uninstalled. I called Toni back to let her know what had happened with my PC as promised. Although they voided the extra charges & offered to send the out of town technician to my house, I would never use this company again. I am now left holding an Angie's list special for computer repair that I will never use & had to pay extra money to get my computer fixed.

I can not say enough good words about Exclusive Consulting.  They have helped me in the past and will continue to do so in the future.  Their reps are knowledgeable, professional and personable.  I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

My computer was really messed up and he fixed it. He saved me a lot of money.
