At first its seems like things were going along pretty well, and of course, we gave him a check for over half the total amount so that he could order supplies. He then began the demolition process. Various areas were damage during this process. Some areas were repaired, while others where not. My husband had flown down for a couple of weeks in hopes that the remodeling was done so that he could do the painting himself. The cabinets were not installed in time for my husband paint within his trip time restraints. At that point, the contractor wanted more money, so we left a 2nd check with my sister to be given to the business. On September 13th, we went to Florida to see what was supposed to be the finished job. There was tile behind the stove and on the walls behind the sink, but they did not repair the wall where the tile was removed behind the sink. They only repaired wall area behind the stove. The area of wall behind the sink was only painted over and looks terrible. In the guest bathroom, the hardiboard was not leveled and properly recessed and sticks roughly a 1/2 inch. We were told this was the best he could do. The end-covers on one of the handicap hand-bars in the guest shower will not snap on as they should. He said we were nit-pickers because we have issues with the lack in quality of the work done. I expected decent work and would have sung his praises if the work was done well. It was just wasn't.
Description of Work: He was to remodel our home. He was supposed to redo the master bathroom, guest bathroom and the kitchen, which included some demolition.
