We were very unhappy. They delivered the wrong color bricks and didn't match them to the previous brick colors. When they delivered additional loads of bricks they brought the wrong color. When I came home the bricks were all a jumble of mixed up colors throughout the job, it looked as if he used what he had at the shop instead of ordering bricks that matched our last job. He uses crushed shell as the foundation for his paving work and we later learned this is not the best foundation to use in Florida because the rain erodes the foundation, crushed concrete does not erode so works better. We had some potholes developing in the pavers, All of the cement used on the exterior edges of the border bricks was bad quality cement and it started to crack away from the bricks, the bricks then sagged away from the driveway several inches. I had to use a different company so crushed concrete would be used as the foundation material for the repairs. I wish I would've selected the other company in the first place so I wouldn't have had to redo the job. Our front walkway and driveway is a different color than the bricks they installed in the back and a third different color was used on the front porch. We had leftover bricks from a pool remodel and I asked them to use them on the side of the house, when I came back they had used the bricks on the front porch but it was too late to change it because it was all finished. I think the installer did nice detail work but the foundation material and lack of uniformity in the bricks made this a poor experience. They were unwilling to pull out the yellow bricks they installed when all of the other bricks were red and gray, you can tell where they've added different color bricks in. They also installed a front fence for us. The fencework was ok except that the person doing the fence work didn't coordinate with the person doing the driveway which made for an awkward entry angle into the driveway and we even scraped our car on the post because the angle is too sharp. We had a different company replace the gate entrance as well. The other company had a higher bid but that would've included all the paving, this company told me making the driveway go from the gate to the street would cost more than my original estimate.

I contracted this company to install vinyl fencing with a single gate and a double gate. I am very sorry that I contracted with this company. Within 2 weeks the gates were misaligned and wouldn't close. I have contacted the company many times. I leave messages and I do not get called back. The one time I actually spoke to the owner, who calls himself "V", and advised him that there were problems with the gates, he promised that he would get back to me and fix the gates, But he never did. It has been 3 months that I have been suffering with this problem. I am miserable and feel like I have been ripped off. I called again last Friday, 2-22-13, and left another message asking them/him to call me back today, Monday 2-25. No call back. Tomorrow, I have no choice but to call another fence company to repair the slipshod work Fences and Pavers by Design performed. The gate hardware has actually fallen off and the fence is leaning. The work was completed only 3 months ago! Do Not contract with this company. When things go well, any company seems satisfactory. It's when things go wrong that the true nature, professionalism, and trustworthiness of a company and its owners and salesmen are put to the test. Fences and Pavers by design has failed and failed miserably.

I paid 50% upfront for the work. The owner came and explained what they were going to do, using lasers and the best materials. They gave me an original price and I told them I would need to shop around as it was too expensive. They said they could offer me a discount.

The first day they came and did not have a level. They have a 1 ft. level so I let them use mine and I have never seen my level since then. They did not even put sand between the stones before they started the seal. I did my homework and realized they were not necessarily helping me. After removing the chemicals, they started to seal even though they hadn't fixed the hole and were using expired chemicals. I specifically asked them to use a particular seal, but they purchased another seal and asked if they could use it. Obviously, I said no as I had already purchased an expensive seal that I asked them to use. They were furious and did not come back.

They did not show up one day when my husband had taken off work. I called 3-4 times one week when they hadn't shown up and he said that I was abusing him by calling him constantly. They left on a Monday and I hadn't heard from them. I called and they told me there would be no way that I could get my money back.They were very unprofessional and their work was of quite poor quality. I could not believe they just left everything as it was and took my money. We ended up having to pay all over again to have another company fix the work.

I got estimate from company in mid November 2009. After agreeing to price the company proceeded to install fence. Work was done in two days. I was satisfied with job after the company fixed a few minor errors I found. A few months after the job was complete (March 2010) I noticed fence gate was leaning and the hinge bolts were ripping out of vinyl support beam. The Gate was also cracking where the bolts entered the vinyl that held the gate latch. I tried for 3 weeks to get in touch with company owner. I left numerous messages. I finally was able to get in touch with company after 3.5 weeks. They agreed to come out and fix. An installer came out on agreed upon day and fixed most of problems but told me that he felt there was a material flaw with gate and he would need to replace the gate. I was told they would be out in two weeks to replace the gate. After waiting 3 weeks, I again tried to contact the company. Again numerous calls and messages with no response. I finally had to hide my phone number from his called ID for them to answer. When they did I was told they were going through difficult times but would be there the following week (First week of May) to repair gate. They never showed up. Again I started calling and leaving messages. I was able to track down another phone number they use under a similar company name. When my call was answered today, 5/28/2010, the owner laughed at me and hung up and is once again not answering or taking my phone calls.
