A/C was out and the unit was old and unique shape due to being in a condo. Called one Angie's List A/C repair, quote was right away and price was almost really high. Called my A/C repair, took weeks because of the unique size and shape for a quote and price was a little lower. Friend referred Shades and that he and all his friends/family use them. Called and he came out for a quote which he was able to give me right away and able to install that week. Price was $2300, which was significantly lower than the other 2 quotes. 6 months later I am still pleased with their competence, quick response, service, the equipment and the price. Everything went smoothly and very pleasant person to work with. Sent an email to all my friends recommending Shades and one used them a week later. Bedroom unit not working for weeks and they fixed it with a part in the truck for under $100. He was real happy.

1st problem was thermostat. They corrected that. Put new thermostat in, had it right on the truck. They were polite and prompt. I was impressed. Second time, they found the problem with the a/c. Had equipment on the truck to fix it. Very nice people.

We'd purchased an older home with 2 A/C units. One was non functional. Shade removed the unit and replaced with 13 SEER. One vent cover was missing. Replacement was special order and additional charge. I called back 3-4 times before finally getting vent cover installed. Several months later system stopped. Electrician discovered a hook up in the attic was incorrect and caused system to short out. It's likely new installation was to existing wiring but would have hoped Shade would catch.

Shortly after a/c was serviced, the condenser started to get noisy. 3 weeks later while getting an estimate for a new unit(different company), the estimator said that my unit was over-charged , causing the condenser to get noisy, and would eventually burn out. He bled off the excess coolant, 2 days later, unit quieted down & seemed to work better.

He performed an excellent job. The repairman was knowledgeable, very polite and arrived on time. This was a very nice company to work with. I will definitely call on them again when air conditioner or heating work is needed.
