The estimator visited a few days after our call.  The estimate was reasonable and compared favorably with other painters' bids so we accepted.  The painters arrived when promised and did a creditable job with one huge exception.  We had specifically noted to the estimator that we wanted all popcorn removed from the ceilings of the designated rooms.  He made no objections to our requirements.
A few weeks after the job was complete and when we had an electrician in to replace the monorail track lights in the living room, we found that Integrity Finishes had not removed the popcorn under the light strips.  We contacted the business and were told:

"We do not remove any lighting unless specifically instructed by our customers to do so. We do remove the light covering and or electrical housing and or glass coverings only. Many light fixtures are attached with anchors that cannot be re-installed without purchasing new and we also cannot be responsible for electrical issues. We would be happy to repair and blend this area for you there would be a minimum charge of $425."

It was disappointing to learn this exception after the fact as we would have been happy to waive any responsibility removing the tracks might have entailed.  We now have two very unsightly strips of popcorn that will need to be remediated.
All in all, we had a particularly unsatisfactory experience with Integrity Finishes and would not recommend them to other Angie's List subscribers.

Response from Integrity Finishes of Tampa Bay

"We apologize for any misunderstanding or communication issues but we always let our customers no the procedure before we begin. We always ask if lighting or fans are being replaced so that we can remove them to prepare the area for new lighting. We cannot take down existing lights then reinstall the same lights for several reasons. Number 1 reason being we are not licensed electricians. Number 2 is that many light fixture have special mounting systems designed specifically for them such as butterflies or mollies for fasteners. Once removed they cannot be re-installed without purchasing new.We have removed popcorn ceilings in hundreds of homes in the Tampa Bay area with absolutely no issues. It is not our goal to have any unsatisfied customers and we do our best to accommodate but this is not a simple fix. This was obviously an after thought by our customer"

Chose another painter simply because one of the houses had never been painted and was projected to absorb a lot of paint and many coats.  Integrity proposed two coats of spray painting with back rolling and we felt this would not be the best method for this particular building at this time.  Their price estimate was very reasonable and Aaron was  prompt with his estimate.

As a homeowner I would hire Integrity Finishes for all my painting needs. Aaron and his company does the job with the highest integrity until the job is finished.  We used Integrity Finishes before he was on Angie's List and will continue to do so..  He definitely deserves to be on the list as the best painting company in the Tampa Bay Area.

I was extremely pleased with my experience with Integrity Painting.  Aaron came out to see my place and give me an estimate.  I knew it was going to be a major undertaking since it had been in disrepair for the past 10 years, is "victorian style" with all of the crazy extras and treacherous roof angles...plus it was 2 stories with a 50foot tall chimney!  I had received a few other quotes from other companies which were ave-high and not as complete, and a few painters that just ran away once they saw the job.  I felt extremely comfortable with Aaron and delighted with my quote.  We scheduled the date to begin and not only did the guys show up on time....they were 30 minutes early!!!!   Tim and the crew worked endless hours for about 12 days to complete the job.  They were all very friendly, courteous and diligent in their work.  A totally "top-notch" professional appearance and demeanor.  Coming from the construction industry myself, I was EXTREMELY impressed by this company!  I will recommend Integrity to ALL of my friends, I cannot say enough good words about them!  They brought the life back into my old home and made it beautiful once again!  I almost cried when I saw the final product!  Thank you, thank you, thank you to Aaron, Tim and all the guys!  You made my year!!!!!

The job was a 3 day project as we have 20 foot ceilings in the living room - foyer as well as windows at that height.  The staging was carried out professionally and well by a very capable crew.  Each man went straight to the task and remained respectful of our home and always communicated with us if there were issues or concerns.  They always cleaned up and also did a final cleaning before leaving.  The crew chief did a final walk around and corrected all the minor issues we pointed out.  We felt they were all willing to go above and beyond.  As a final note, when we got the quote from Aaron I felt it was in the ball park of what I expected.  My husband on the other hand had a little sticker shock however the finished project convinced him that Integrity Finishes is well worth it.  Thanks to Aaron and his crew ( they know who they are!)

Arrived on time. Courteous and clean cut,  strong smoke odor. I requested an exterior estimate which was prepared on the spot. The interior estimate was to be emailed to me. It never arrived (incorrect spelling of my email address??). I called John, the gentleman who had assessed the house to request the estimate be resent, since I never got it. Waited, and waited. still never got it. No one from the company ever followed up with me. Obviously I won't use a painter who can't get me an estimate in a timely & accurate manner, nor seems to care whether or not they do so.

Contact was easy and prompt via phone and email. Aaron was prompt for a visual consultation and provided an estimate within hours via email. The crew was able to complete the work during off-hours in one weekend. I had three small issues which were addressed immediately and at no additional cost. The service was not inexpensive, but if you want quality you should expect to pay for it, and I feel that I definitely received my money's worth. I am very happy with my results and would recommend to anyone for painting services.

My wife and I just purchased an older home in St. Petersburg, Florida. Before moving in, we decided to refresh and personalize the interior with a complete repaint of the entire 2,400 square feet of living space. We researched multiple painting companies on
Angie's List and chose Integrity Finishes of Tampa.  Simply stated, we couldn't be happier and pleased with the finished product.
Integrity's owner, Aaron Wallace and his team, led by Bill, did an amazing job of  transforming a beautiful home into a gorgeous home. They painted all the walls, ceilings and trim in a professional manner. For eight consecutive days they arrived on time and went right to work. They cleaned up at the end of each day. They were friendly and very courteous.  We also had them paint all of our kitchen cabinetry.  They did an amazing job. The kitchen looks brand new at a fraction of the cost of new cabinets.
Lastly, I want to say that Integrity Finishes is a company that stands behind their work and truly strives for satisfying their customers.  We plan on having them paint our home's second floor guest suite in the very near future.

I would hire Aaron, John and the team again in the future  They were professional, friendly and made a very stressful home purchase much easier.  The team was able to start on the project within a week of getting the bid.  Although they were not the least expensive bid, we trusted their expertise and it paid off.  John kept us informed every step of the way.  He addressed concerns in a timely manner and resolved them to our satisfaction.  We are VERY satisfied with the final product.  We look forward to hiring them again for our exterior paint.  Recommended without hesitation.

Aaron, of Integrity Finishes, did a wonderful job painting our office.  He was very professional;  on time, careful with his work and the surrounding office site, completed his work on off-hours as needed and it didn't even smell like paint!
I highly recommend him to anyone.  I think his price was very fair and he did what he said he'd do (the "Integrity" part of the name is correct!).  I will use him again to paint my home in the near future.

"Thanks for the great review :) This was a dentist office going from dark colors to pure white. This had to be completed over two weekends and because of the drastic color change it also required a primer and 2 finish coats on everything. We always use Sherwin William's Pro Mar 200 (0 VOC) for our walls. This really keeps the smell down."

Aaron and his staff were professional and efficient.  The crew had a lot of areas to do in the house.  They arrived on time, were pleasant and considerate. Things were done as they had been discussed during the estimate and they did a masterful job of fixing a hole in the wall.  They were neat..no left over paint mess at all.

I cannot give enough praise to Aaron for his prompt attention in getting the job quoted all the way to the end of the project (which was completed timely).  Aaron was very responsive to questions I had about the services being offered, the paint options, possible revisions to the quote for additional painting to be done and the timeliness of when the job was started and completed.  His crew was prompt every day, ALWAYS polite when I interacted with them and extremely responsive to answering questions and ensuring I was happy with the work being done.  I live in Highland Woods in Dunedin and highly recommend Integrity Finishes of Tampa Bay to anyone interested in using them.

Integrity Finishes arrived promptly around 8am on May 6th to begin prep work for painting of the entire house and free standing garage.  The original signed contract was $13,855 of which they required a deposit of $4500.  I have a Victorian that was built in 1900 and the prep work of pressure washing and scraping took about a week.  Although they tried to contain all the paint chips I still ended up with paint chips in my garden around the house.  They attempted to cover my plants to try and not damage them, but the location of my gardens up against the house proved too difficult to work around as I had several plants succomb to collateral damage.  On a project this large, I guess that's just one of those things that will happen.  The project Manager, Tim, was incredibly easy to work with and tried to accommodate every request made.  If you choose this Company and he is assigned to be your project manager, you will absolutely enjoy working with him.  The painting took another week to complete and the results are stunning.
My only issue I had was with the pricing.  The original quote of $13,855 was not the cheapest quote I received.  I have a 3300 square foot Victorian built in 1900 and I was not looking for the cheapest, but who would do the best job.  After meeting with their estimator and researching Angie's list of reviews I decided on Integrity Finishes.  Our initial discussion did not involve color choices as I was unsure of the final color scheme.  I have emails with the Company confirming the beginning date of the project and being availble on that morning with the deposit and color choices.  On that morning I gave them my color choices and what I wanted painted.  My house being a Victorian has a lot of detail and I wanted to highlight that detail with the color choices.  A few days after the project began I received a call from the Company explaining the intial signed contract was for painting utilizing a sprayer and not some of the hand painting that will be required to paint the house details.  The final bill went from $13,855 to $15,439.  I am not an unreasonable person, so if some of the details on the house required hand painting which costs more for the Company I understand the additional fee.  I just find it a little unprofessional to have a signed contract which does not mention the price reflects spray painting only and if hand painting is required the cost will go up.  The lesson here is that whatever Company you choose to realize that a signed contract may not be totally binding.
Pricing aside, I am very happy with the finished product and I would recommend Integrity Finishes especially if you have a large project as they have a more than adequate staff to tackle it.
Response from Integrity Finishes of Tampa Bay

"We apologize for ANY miscommunication. We based out original price on a basic 3 color scheme and as you stated," Our initial discussion did not involve color choices as I was unsure of the final color scheme." We had no idea how much more detailed the project would be. We really appreciate your understanding that there was considerable more labor involved but, as you can see, the results are amazing!"

Well, where should I begin. Probably at the beginning with the estimate. I contacted four of the top rated painting companies on Angie's List after reading several reviews for each company. One company did not reply to my email request for an estimate, but three others did. John from Integrity immediately contacted me after receiving my Angie's List email request for an estimate. Of the four companies I contacted, Integrity was the only one that felt it was very important to meet with me at the house to go over our needs for the job in person. John was completely punctual and extremely professional. We went around the entire exterior of the home so I could show him areas of specific concern to me. He then went around the home again on his own. Before leaving, John provided me with the estimate and went over it with me line by then. With Integrity, you know very specifically every service they are going to perform, which was really a determining factor when I received another quote that was a couple of hundred dollars cheaper, but far less detailed.
After receiving all of my quotes, Integrity Finishes, which was the intermediate quote, won the bid. Their wait time to start was about three weeks, which was fine with me. In fact, I thought that was a good sign. Quality companies should be in high demand and busy. The job was scheduled to begin bright and early on 5/28/2013, and it did. Josh and Luis arrived promptly at 8:00am. Originally, I thought the job would take about 6 days, yet they were finished in 4. What a great crew!!!! Josh and company were so great!! All of the guys from Integrity work so hard and take absolute pride in their work. Their main goal is to make sure that the customer is happy at all stages of the project. On the last day, John came back out to look over the project and to make sure that I was happy with everything. Aaron Wallace, the company's owner, also made it a point to make sure that I was completely happy with the project. I have already recommended Integrity Finishes to my neighbors and my supervisor at work, so you know they must be good!!!!

I initally called the owner and he seemed really down to earth.  He seemed like a guy I'd like to do business with.   I told him I would like to have the interior of the home, I was purchasing, painted.   The owner set up a time to meet at the house to measure.   I was then contacted by John Starling.   John works for Integrity Finishes of Tampa Bay.   I was sent a quote by John for $5000+  to do the interior of my home.   The house was empty and required no moving of furniture, it was to be painted all one color, and the walls were white and only needed one coat of paint with the color I picked out.   I felt there had been a big mistake with the pricing, so I asked John.  He confirmed that this was the price.   I mentioned to John that I had received different quotes and shared one with him.   He told me he could get down to that price range of $2000-2500.   He claimed to be able to do that,  he would only be using one coat of paint and was going to use flat paint.   I told him that sounded good, to throw a quote together.  In less than 24 hours of telling him that, I emailed him again and asked him to quote me using a paint that was easy to clean up because I have children.   I have not heard from him since May 8th.
To sum it all up.....nice guys to talk to, but drastically over priced.   They can talk quality all they want, but they aren't painting the Sistine Chapel here.   They are painting drywall.   It wasn't a tough job at all and as a matter of fact it was a pretty darn easy job if you ask me.  The guy I hired finished my 2537 sq ft house in 1 1/2 days.  He used about 13 gallons of paint, painted the baseboards, door jams & trim, washed all my outlet and switch covers, patched all the holes in my walls, caulked where needed, and charged me half of Integrity's initial quote.  $2450!!  I added all of those things that my painter did because Integrity was trying to justify the $5000+ quote by tell me all the extra things their company does.   I believe things happen for a reason and it just wasn't meant to be.  I have no hard feelings,  but I wish they would have e-mailed me back with the lower quote they said they could do or just tell me they didn't want to do the job for the price.  I would have honestly been ok with that.

Josh was very professional. He did an outstanding job from start to finish. He was very thorough with the work he did. I used Integrity Finishes when I had the outside of my house painted. I highly recommend this company. The individuals they have working for them are very professional.

I was very satisfied with the overall work. The painting crew was very courteous and professional. They were careful in trying to protect the landscaping around the house. They did a good job taping up and covering windows and paved surfaces, and the quality of the paint application was excellent. They required minimal oversight on my part and I am a perfectionist when it comes to home maintenance and improvements.
The pressure washing of the driveway, pool deck and metal pool cage was also done very well - All mildew and mold was completely removed. Much better than previous pressure washing that I have had done.
I called them back twice for very minor touch up paint work in three areas that had been overlooked, and they responded and fixed the problem without hesitation.
Two last comments:
I liked the fact that the owner of the company (Aaron Wallace) came out himself to visit the property and provide the estimate as opposed to a sales representative. I also contacted him directly for the touch up work and he responded promptly.
The standard exterior Paint used by Integrity Finishes  is Sherwin Williams Super Paint. I asked them to upgrade to Sherwin Williams Reslience which is a much better quality paint and the added cost was very reasonable.
I would definitely use them again and can recommend Integrity Finishes for exterior house painting in the Tampa Bay area.
